The Many Adventures of Willow Hood

• Nov. 24, 2009 - Story 4

Hey guys! No, it is not Thursday, I'm just posting this early because of Thanksgiving and all.... hope y'all won't mind!

Just to clear up so missunderstandings.... I AM NOT WRITING THESE!!!!! I am merely posting them for a friend and I wish I could tell you more but I promised and that's that! So, I'm sorry if I was unclear on that but I am not writing these stories. Period.

“I KNOW WHY MY MOTHER WARNED ME ABOUT OUTLAWS!” Willow yelled into the woods where Allan had vanished as she stamped her foot, a nasty habit of hers, which she hated.

       “Yer Mum’s a sma’t gal!” Allan’s voice came from the woods “Goo’bye!”

“Wait! Where can we find you again?”

       Allan reappeared from the woods

“’Ere. I’ll be ‘ere. Why do ya wanna know?”

I have an idea. Could you gather all the second generation?”

“Th’ ‘o?”

"The second generation. All of the children of Robin Hood’s gang. Can you find them?”

“Well  I—“

“Good.” Willow cut him off. “Let’s meet here at 9 a.m. Thank you Allan A Dale.”

“Willow, we have to get back.” Sofia urged softly “Your father--”

“My father is dead.” Willow said curtly.

“Willow! You can’t just forget the man who has acted as your father for the past 15 years!”

“Yer only fif’een? You loo’ a lot ol’er.” Allan commented, for which he received a nasty look from Willow.

“Yes, we should go. I want to ask my mother why she hid the truth from me for so many years.”

“No.” Allan said.

"Why do you care?” Sofia asked, “Not that I don’t agree…”

“Well, you can’ tell yer mum ‘cause then it’ll be too easy fer Gisbourne ta find out. Who knows wha’ he’d do if ‘e found out…”

“My father would never do anything to me!”

“I’m not bein’ funny but a few minutes ago, you said yer father was dead.”

“Just get the second generation here, alright?”

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

• Nov. 19, 2009 - Story 3

[Syd's friend speaking] Sorry this is going so slow but it's kinda important.... it picks up in a couple stories so hang in there!

Story 3
Sofia gasped and Willow stood frozen in shock. Allan just kept shooting his arrows.
“That’s absurd! Guy of Gisbourne is my father. I’ve never seen Robin Hood in my life. I wouldn’t even know him if he were you!"
"Well 'e ain't me!" Allan joked
    “That’s not the point!”
"You mus' be rela'ed to Robin! Why else wou' ya wanna know all 'his about 'im?"
"ARGH!" Willow spun around in frustration. When she did that, she saw Sofia behind her. “Sofia! Tell him I am not related to Robin Hood. Tell him who my father is. Tell him I am Willow of Gisbourne.”
“Willow.” Sofia looked like she was about to cry. “Your father is Robin Hood. Father told me a long time ago but Lady Marian had asked everyone not to tell you. Guy is not your father.”
“What?” Willow looked back at Allan. He shrugged and said “Tol’ ya.”
“But Robin Hood died. He couldn’t be my father!”
“Allan A Dale died an’ he’s my father.”
“Allan you’re really not helping.” Sofia said
Willow shook her head slowly. “It’s impossible.” She said quietly. “My father is Guy of Gisbourne.”
“Yeah well ha’ ya ever though ‘bout th’ fact ya don’ loo’ li’e yer mum or yer dad.” Allan finally put his bow away.
    “But… Mother…why didn’t she tell me?”
“She only wanted what was best for you. She knew you would…” Allan cut off Sofia.
“Yeah, if I knew yer da’ wuz Robin ‘Ood an’ Gisbourne wuzn’t I’d go off ta th’ woods ta live.”
    “Shut up Allan!” Sofia yelled
Allan and Willow’s eyes both got huge and turned to Sofia. Willow because she had never heard Sofia shout and Allan because a girl had never spoken him to like that.
“I’m sorry.” Sofia said in her regular, calm voice. “Willow, I think we should go home and talk about this by ourselves.” She glared at Allan.
“Fine wi’ me.” Allan began walking away.
“Wait Allan.” Willow said. Allan turned around. “You said you tell me something about Rob--My father.”
“Yeah, I did, di’n’t I? Well, I met ‘im when I was real li’le an’ ya loo’ jus’ li’e ‘im.” With that, he vanished into the trees.

• Nov. 12, 2009 - Story 2

My friend says "Sorry for the stupidity and sorry if Allan's accent is hard to understand" but I don't think it's stupid and I can understand Allan's accent so give what you REALLY think [my friend will not see this and I won't tell her if you don't want.. so don't worry about hurting her feelings if you think it STINKS! haha]

Willow never enjoyed the pomp and power of her father's manor. She preferred to go out into the woods with Sofia and practice shooting their arrows at the army of trees and slicing into the ranks of the mighty saplings.
It was bright and sunny when Willow and Sofia ventured out one day, Willow with her sword and bow and Sofia with her axes. They marched toward Sherwood Forest, talking about the damage they would do to the enemy's ranks before the day's end.
When they got to the oak that they used as a target and were surprised to see an arrow already in it. They never left her arrows where the 'enemy' might see them. Before Willow could yank it out, another arrow whizzed past and struck the target in the center.
"You leave my h'arrows alone! I put 'em there fair 'n' square an' pullin' 'em out won't 'elp ya none." Came a voice from the wood
"Excuse me sir!" Willow yelled in the general direction from which the voice had come. She was not a bit afraid but Sofia’s eyes got big and she shuffled behind Willow. " I am Willow of Gisbourne. My father is Guy of Gisbourne. You are on his land. Show yourself!”
"Yeah? Well I'm Allan A Dale an' my da' was par' a Robin 'Ood's gang an' 'e beat your da' h'up un side an' down t'other!" A face now came forth from the bush.
"Allan A Dale? But he died. The same day as Robin." Willow countered, not at all fazed and almost forgetting about Sofia.
"Yeah well I'm 'is son. Allan th' yoonger." He looked Willow up and down.
Willow shoved Sofia out from behind her. “This is my friend. Sofia Scarlett. She is the daughter of Will Scarlett.” Sofia smiled
“Father talks about your father quite a bit.”
“Yeah? My da’ talked about yer da’ too”
"Do you know about any of the others?” Willow asked
    “Wha’ others?”
“Do you live out here alone? What about the other Merrymen. Did they marry too? I know Will, Robin and your father did. What about the rest? Did they have children? Do you know them? Is there a second generation?”
Allan looked a little dazed “Uh.. yeah… I live ‘ere by meself… Li’le John ‘ad a son. ‘E was called Li’le John too. I dunno where ‘e went. Much married a girl named Eve and I dunno if they ‘ad any kids.”
There was a moment of awkward silence.
“So Allan.” Willow piped up, “Have you lived in the forest your whole life?”
    “Yeah.” Allan shot another arrow.
“Then you must have met Robin Hood! Did you?”
"Yeah, when I was real li'le. You rela'ed?"
"Robin Hood? Related to me? I wish. Why would you ask me that?"
“I’m not bein’ funny but you loo’ jus’ li’e ‘im.”
    “Me? Just like Robin Hood?”
“Look, do you ha’ ta reapeat everythin’ I say? Yeah, you loo’ li’e Robin ‘Ood.”
“Would you tell me about Robin? What was he like and all that.”
    “I tol’ ya. I was real li’le. I don’ really remem’er ‘im.”
“But your father must have told you stories.”
    “Yeah.”
    “Could you tell me some?”
“Nope.” Another arrow struck center of the oak.
    “Why not?!”
“Tell ya what…You tell me yer mum’s name an’ jus’ ‘cause I wan’ ya gone, I’ll tell ya somethin’ ‘bout Robin ‘Ood.”
“What does my mother’s name have to do with any of this?”
“Guess ya don’ wanna know ‘bout Robin.”
    “Marian, Lady of Gisbourne.”
    “I knew it!”
    “Knew what?”
    “You’re Robin’s daugh’er!”

Can anyone blame me?!?! I have all these awesome stories piling up and I have to sit there and look at them waiting for the day when I can post them.... So I'm going ahead and posting one.... I think I will post on Thursdays or Fridays normally [haha! For me, I mean.]. I don't know which so y'all just have to come and see!!! =) Personally, I think this one is a little depressing but you have to keep reading them.... They get much better! But his one is important. =)

Not many people knew about Willow. Not even Willow's father Robin Hood, for he died a scarce two days after she was born. Willow's mother, Marian, was forced to move from Sherwood back into Locksley. There, for the sake of her child, she married Guy of Gisbourne who had long sought after Marian's hand in marriage.
While the townspeople saw only a cruel and harsh master, Willow saw a loving, doting and even playful father in Sir Guy. He loved her second only to Marian and saw that her every need was provided for. As she grew, it became evident that she was Robin's child. She had the same hawk-like eyes and tossled sandy-brown hair. Even more it became evident in her interests. On her 5th birthday, she did not ask for dolls or trinkets. She asked for a fine willow bow.
"I want it made of willow, Father." She said, "Then everyone will know it is Willow's bow." and of course, she got it.
On her 10th birthday, she did not ask for jewels or finery, but a fine sword. "Father, I want it made of finest steal. Then everyone will know it is a Gisbourne's sword!"
Without her father knowing, she had been visiting the man that lived down a the very edge of town. Will Scarlett would tell her stories of the days when he and the rest of the Merrymen would fight along side of Robin Hood himself. Willow couldn't help but fall in love with those old outlaws and Robin Hood, Will Scarlett, Allan A Dale, Little John, Much and the rest soon became some of her favorite people, even though Will was the only one left. Will knew whose Willow's true father was, of course, but he had long ago promised Marian not to tell Willow.
Willow's best friend, Sofia, was Will and Djag's daughter. She was the only one to whom Willow could tell her secret admiration of Robin Hood and his Merrymen. Sofia alone shared Willow's love for the outlaws and they both longed for those times to return.
"She looks so much like her father." Will would quietly say to his wife, Djag, each day after Willow left. Djag would just smile sadly and continue on with her work, watching and knowing that Will also would gladly give anything to be back in the days when the outlaws roamed Sherwood forest. Tears would often course down his cheeks as he thought of the good, kind Robin Hood and his noble merrymen. Gone.

• Nov. 6, 2009 - I forgotted something!

Hi guys.. I know I said I would only post weekly but I thought of something else to say. These stories might be easier to understand if you knew about Robin Hood. So if you do know about Robin Hood than you'll understand it but if you don't then you might want to read up about it  and does anyone know how to change "Post a Comment" to say something else like "leave a note" or something? And.... does anyone know if you can have a different avatar for a blog on the same account? And can anyone resize a picture for me? I think that's all!

• Nov. 5, 2009 - A word of explaination

Hi, this is Syd from Irish Bliss.
I have a friend [whose name I am not at liberty to disclose.] and she has recently gotten interested in Robin Hood... [Gee... I wonder where from! ;-)] Anyway, she started writing these stories. I think they are good, but I'm her friend =) She does not have internet access and has asked me to post her stories for her on my blog to get some unbiased opinions [Got that? UNbiased] Well I told her that I would much rather just start a whole other blog so here we are! She also says the template is NOT what she would like but we plan to have that fixed soon :-) Please comment and tell us what you think. There will be weekly posts of one story each and here is the introduction [which is also the 'About Me" thingy.].
Thanks!
;-)Syd

Once upon a time there was a noble and courageous knight. He was known as Robin of Locksley, Earl of Huntington and hero of Acre but he became better known as Robin Hood. Many people think his story begins with him going off to war, coming back and finding his land corrupt. The story continues, he becomes an outlaw, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. The story ends with his heroic death. But that is not where the story ends. It does not end there, nor with the death of Marian. It goes on. For there was one person that the storytellers forgot, or never even knew of. Her name was Willow. She was known as Willow of Gisbourne but no one knew her real name. Not even she knew that her name was really Willow Of Locksley. Willow Hood.
