Today, James and I have been married for twelve years.  It is amazing how quickly time flies.  I know that we know each other and love each other so much more with each passing year.  He is my sweetheart and the love of my life.  The Lord has really done so much for us in our marriage, and I am so thankful.

We are going out tonight to eat, I think at Longhorn.  I don't know what else we are going to do, he is going to get off of work at 3:00.

Last night we went to this really fancy club for Clay's Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet.  He has done so well, and we am very proud of him.  James has really been involved in Cub Scouts and really likes it.  He has been so much more outgoing and it is really neat to see the Lord working in him and using his talents.  He is such a good public speaker and is very funny.  I am so proud of him, too.

• Feb. 13, 2008 - Hello Everyone

I thought that I would enter the blogging world again.  I was a blogger once upon a time, but did not keep it up.  I will give it one more go around and see how I do this time.

I am 34 and I am learning to be a keeper at home and a helpmate to my husband James.  We have four beautiful children that the Lord has blessed us with, Autumn, Clay, Jessie, and Cora.  I love homeschooling them and have learned so much myself.

I recently joined The Homemaker's Mentor, this is a website put out by Martha Greene of www.MarmeeDear.com and Rebekah Wilson of www.hopechestlegacy.com .  Every two weeks they give you a new lesson to learn.  Last week it was all about beans, about the different kinds, recipes, tips, and canning.  The other lessons so far have been about how to grow an indoor herb garden and making your master bedroom into a peaceful room.  There is a forum that I can access and I have really enjoyed it so far and look forward to each lesson with anticipation.

Let me tell you a little bit about us.  First, we are Primitive Baptist.  I love our church family and it really like family.  We have been there around three years and my dh and I first starting thinking about how our salvation is not by works, but by the GRACE of our Lord towards us.  I have grown a lot in the Lord in the last several years and have realized that I cannot loose my salvation and that my salvation is not based on anything that I have done or have not done.  What a good God I have!

We like to do lots of outdoor stuff, mostly hiking.  I also would like to run a road race, I just started running again the other day.  I took off because of the baby (she is 3 months).  I like to do anything creative (I love art), and I easily get sidetracked.

Autumn is 10 and plays the piano and loves to read.  She also goes to an American Girl class and loves talking with her friends.  Clay is 6 and likes to ride his ripstick (like a skateboard) and go to Cub Scouts.  Jessie is 22 months and keeps life really exciting around her.  She is always into something and is very curious!  She is such a sweetie!  Cora is 3 months and is such a happy baby, she love to smile and laugh and does not cry unless she is tired or hungry.

About Me

I am Tara and I am a wife, mother, and teacher to our four blessings (three girls and one boy). I started this blog to jot down my rambling thoughts and events that happen in our lives here in Tennessee.
