Every year our family enjoys following two great races: The Iditarod and The Tour de France. The Iditarod is a the last great Dog Sled race run in Alaska in March. The Tour is a month long bike race through France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg which takes place in July. I have been working on a website to help my fellow teachers get on board. This website is still in the works but it should give you a pretty good idea of all the educational opportunities in following the Tour. I would love to have your input and if you are able to join us there is a link to sign up for the Tour yahoo group. The website also has information about the bikes, the teams, literature selections, history and tourism information on the coutries the bikers will travel in, and will include some lesson ideas.
