Hi everybody! I have an opportunity to bless a family by coming to a baby shower this coming Sat. July 8th at 1:00 p.m. A homeschool mom I'm acquainted with has a son, Michael, who is 18 & is a brand new father of a baby boy :)

Michael is living with his mom while the mother of this little boy is living with her parents so Michael needs almost everything for this baby.

What is a greater need than even all the baby paraphernalia is that Michael is doubting God' s love for him and really needs to be ministered to with some love and kindness for his soul. My friend first just asked if we could get the word out about the need for baby things. (They have a crib and a bath and are going to buy a car seat. But, they need everything else.)

I heard recently about a couples shower where a whole church fellowship blessed a couple by giving them a shower but also took the time to give godly advice about marriage to them. I asked the mom if us giving a shower FOR Michael would bless him and she really believes it would.

The baby weighs 7 lbs. 15 oz. so he'll be out of the newborn size almost immediately. I think he's a 0-3 mos. or 0-6 mos. size. It would be great to have some new stuff at the shower, but the family would also be appreciative of used items as well. So even if you can't come to the shower you can give old baby items and have fun collecting things from rummage sales.

Michael's mom is a single mom working two jobs and I know this is a financial burden that's more than she can handle right now. So, thanks in advance for anything you can do to help whether it's come to the shower or find things for the baby. You can give items to me and I'll pass them on to the family.

The shower will be this Sat. at 1:00 p.m. at the family's home in Franklin. I think it might mean a lot to him if several dads could to support Michael in his new fatherhood. So, if you can spare your husband this Sat. this might be a sweet time for our guys to minister to a young man's heart who is pretty scared and overwhelmed. Also you could be thinking about something you'd say to Michael during a time of sharing that you think might bless him in his journey as a father. 

 Please feel free to come even if you don't know them personally. I haven't met Michael either, but I know how baby showers can bless and I feel sure we're going to bless an 18 year old daddy with this one!
