The OUTDOOR TOUR"Land Stewardship and Spring" will be offered by Creation Insights on Saturday,May 12 and on Friday,May 18.
Enjoy the beauty of the Lake Michigan
shoreline and observe demonstrations of
Biblical land stewardship on public and private
property. Discover how God's natural laws
teach lessons of faith and care. This tour starts
with a display of native wildflowers in a backyard
garden and continues at Indian Mound Park in
Sheboygan where outstanding examples of effigy
mounds remain preserved. Next, the tour stops at
Kohler-Andrae State Park to observe sand dunes in
a rare state natural area along with an expansive
stand of majestic white pines. God's hand in
human and natural history is considered further
through a visit to the early Dutch settlement of
Amsterdam on the Lake Michigan shore. The
tour includes a walk through a trillium woods
that abounds with spring wildflowers and other
examples of how God's handiwork provides
both beauty and purpose. The flowers will fade
but the memory of this trip will endure.
Each location includes illustrations and student involvement with
evaluation tools for follow up. Place: eastern Sheboygan County Time: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Cost: $15 per person (recommended for grade 3 students through adult)
