Former "HEAV Update" editor, Michael Grice, and his family, recently launched home-schooler.com, a new website offering free Classified Ads, Forums, Boomarks, and other resources for homeschoolers.
It is free to use the site and free to join. When you sign up for your free membership, please enter "MICHJAS4" in the "Referred by" field.
The Classified Ads section (like a craigslist for home-schoolers) allows home-schoolers to:
- list/sell used curriculum, or other, items.
- list upcoming events in your area.
- look for jobs, items for sale, curriculum, and more in 374 different cities in the United States.
- search for items locally, or nationwide.
The Forums section allows home-schoolers to:
- Participate in discussions with other home-schoolers. Ask a question. Or help another home-schooler with their question.
The Bookmarks section allows home-schoolers to:
- Store all your favorite links in one place, accessible from anywhere.
- Share your bookmarks with everyone, with friends on your watchlist or just keep them private.
- Tag your bookmarks with as many labels as you want, instead of wrestling with folders.
- Find cool links/websites saved by other home-schoolers, and marked as Public.
To mark the launch, there are weekly random cash drawings from now until the end of February. And there is a referral contest with a top cash prize of $250.
