My name is Aeron Ogden and I am a music teacher at Steinway Piano Gallery in Wauwatosa. Recently you received an email concerning an exciting new program we have created called Steinway Academy, a program designed specifically for home school students. I was taught at home from first grade right through my senior year in high school, so I can personally attest to the effectiveness of the form of education you have chosen for your children. One of the benefits that my family enjoyed was the ability to structure the curriculum and schedule in a way that utilized community resources and unique opportunities unavailable to students tied to their desks in school classrooms. Specifically this gave me the chance to pursue interests and goals I had in music, and ideas that began to develop at age fourteen for a career as a freelance composer and an independent music teacher running a uniquely designed program. These are goals that I am realizing today, and one of those early ideas is represented in the creation of this program, Steinway Academy.
