American Government
Taught by John McAdams (for those new members who don't know, he's my father, and a Political Science professor at Marquette University).
6 week session, 4 days per week, in July and/or August (the equivalent of a college summer session)
The class would be for homeschooled highschoolers in grades 10, 11, and 12. The content and time required would be equivalent to a high school credit in American Government. The class would consist of lectures and discussion, with outside work and studying required. Exams and/or papers will be assigned, turned in, and graded. Students would also receive a grade for the class.
Cost: $150, plus two textbooks
Note: Regarding the cost, please keep in mind that he would be writing an entire curriculum for this class specifically, spending 6-weeks of his time focused on these students, grading papers and exams, etc. The same class at Marquette runs into the thousands. I'm just a good bargainer, LOL. =P
Location: TBD (potentially Harvest Community Church, Oak Creek)
Minimum students needed: 20
Again, I'm just trying to determine interest, if any, at this point. :) |
