2006 SPRING SESSION TOPICS Grades 3-5 "Senses and Spring" "Senses and Spring" uses hands on activities, illustrations, models, and explanations to reveal the amazing story of how we become aware of God's beautiful world. Students will not only learn how their senses work physically, but they will also appreciate the wisdom of their design and the range of their abilities. At the end of the session students will use their senses to enjoy one of the most exciting seasons of the year. Grades 6-8* "Introduction to Chemistry Part II" "Introduction to Chemistry Part II " applies the fundamentals of elements, compounds, atoms, and molecules to common and practical situations. Students will discover the importance of controls in experiments, test for "unknown" substances, and see how acid-base reactions relate to everyday events. The benefits and dangers of organic compounds will also be explored. Students will see how even invisible atoms give visible testimony to the order, design, and purpose of God's creation. *High school age students may also enroll.
Each class meets for one hour per week during the nine-week session. Specific time schedules and location details are available upon request. Family costs for each session: 1 student=$95, 2 students=$180, 3 students=$250, or 4 students=$290 Parents are welcome to sit in on any class.
