Chapter 5
The Traitor
Thurs, Oct 5th, 2056
Julia Wolfe walked with her friends, Barbara Gordon and Janelle Johnson. They were on their way back to their homes from school.
“So, anything exciting about to happen for either of you?” Barbara asked.
“No, not really.”
“Me neither,” Julia answered, “Being a Titan takes up most of my time.”
“Really?” Barbara asked. “That’s sad. You need to organize your time, that’s what I do, and talk to Dick, I’m sure if you tell him about how your Hero life is taking over your personal life he’ll help you work it out. He needs us to point out the problems so that he can try to help you fix them.”
“I know, but the thing is I don’t really miss much of what I used to do. I mean, I miss hanging out with my sister more like I used to, but I’m ok with volleyball being gone. I enjoyed it, but I also enjoy helping people as Wolf Woman.”
“Well, it’s good that you like doing that, but like I said, you need to make time for your family and other things that are important to you! If you don’t then you might miss the small important things that happen, like-”
Just then Julia’s radio beeped. “See what I mean?” She looked around to make sure no one else was looking, and then answered the radio, “Yes?”
“Wolf Woman,” Robin said, “get the rest of the Wolf Pack and get to 43rd street in Gotham City, there’s a bank robbery going on down there and there are three masked men there. El Coyote and Ivy will meet you there.”
“All right.” she replied, and then she turned to the others, “Sorry, Barbara, Janelle and I have to go.”
“I understand,” answered Barbara. “But Jules?”
“Yeah?”
“Talk with Robin sometime about this, ok?”
“All right, thanks Barbara! Bye!” Then she turned to Janelle, “Let’s go!” As they ran down the street, Julia called the third Wolf, “William?”
“Yes?”
“This is Julia, its mission time. Meet us at the bank at 43rd street in Gotham City. There’s a bank robbery going on down there. Ivy and El Coyote will meet us there.”
“Right, see you there.” he said.

When everyone got to the bank, they made a plan. Grey Wolf and El Coyote would go in there and chase the bank robbers out to where the girls would be waiting.
Grey Wolf ran in first, followed closely by El Coyote, who he favored.
The girls waited there for about five minutes, and the guys never came out. Then Wolf Woman heard Grey Wolf yell, but she couldn’t tell if it was an excited yell or an in-trouble yell.
Worried, Wolf Woman turned to the others and said, “Wait here, if I’m not out in two minutes then call for back-up and come in.”
“Right.”
“Okay.”
Wolf Woman ran toward the doors of the bank, when suddenly two men in masks ran out, followed closely by Grey Wolf and El Coyote.
White Wolf and Ivy ran out to attack, but the robbers weren’t within striking range.
Wolf Woman called everyone on their radios while giving chase, “El Coyote, White Wolf, and Ivy, stay with them, Grey Wolf and I will take the short-cut and cut them off.”
So Grey Wolf ran toward Wolf Woman, changed to a wolf, and they ran off in a different direction, while the others stayed in pursuit.
White Wolf and the others kept behind the robbers. Ivy, with her plant powers, sent vines from the nearby trees out in front of the robbers to try to slow them down or trip them. White Wolf grabbed two Wolf Ropes, gave one to El Coyote, and the two of them swung from buildings to gain ground on the robbers.
Meanwhile, Wolf Woman and Grey Wolf hopped fences and cut through alleys, trying to get ahead of the robbers.
Grey Wolf easily got ahead of them and ran out of the alley, with Wolf Woman close behind. Grey Wolf snarled at the robbers, who stopped dead in their tracks. Wolf Woman and the others all surrounded the robbers, who quickly surrendered.

After taking the robbers to jail, the Wolf Pack brought their good report on Ivy and El Coyote to Robin. Then they walked around TTHQ for a while.
“Hey, Grey Wolf,” White Wolf said, “What took you two so long inside the bank?”
“I think that they were expecting us, because when we ran in, they had their guns out and they told us to get up against the wall. It was El Coyote that got the jump on them; I kind of backed off to let him try to handle the situation, which was…kind of hard. Anyway, he quickly flipped away from the wall and landed on the one that was supposed to watch us and knocked him out.”
“Oh, so that’s why only two robbers ran out of the building.” White Wolf said.
“Right, I told the banker to call the police to pick up the other robber.” Grey Wolf replied, “Anyway; that scared the other robbers, who had put their guns down to grab money. One of them grabbed his gun and aimed at El Coyote but missed. I kicked the gun out of his hand and they ran out.”
“Well,” Wolf Woman said, “All in all, it was a great mission. So tell me, did you yell to say ‘way to go El Coyote’ when he got the jump on them, or when he nearly got shot?”
“You yelled, William?” White Wolf asked.
“I was going to ask her the same thing,” he said, “You heard me yell, Wolf Woman?”
“Yeah, at least I thought that I did, maybe I was imagining things…”
“We did get a little worried when you didn’t come out for five minutes,” White Wolf said, “I wouldn’t be surprised if you thought that you heard him yell for help.”
“Oh well… I guess that I was hearing things.”
“Well, anyway, I think that with the way that El Coyote and Ivy handled everything, we might have some new Titans very soon!” Grey Wolf exclaimed.
“I think you may be right!” Wolf Woman said excitedly. But in the back of her mind she was confused, I heard him cry out plain as day…
