Description

My Life as told by Julia Wolfe aka Wolf Woman. Enjoy, and don't give away my true identity!

If you don't remember what happened last but don't want to reread everything, or if you're totally new to the story and want to learn what's already happened fast, click here: Summeries.

If you want to know more about any of the characters in my stories, just PM or comment me and I'll do a profile post on them.

Lots of the characters I use are DC Comics characters. Some things about them I've changed to better fit my stories.

I am not publishing anything, these are solely for my entertainment (and hopefully yours!).

This is slightly discouraging...no comments on any of my last few posts! Do I still have readers and they're just not commenting? Or does no one read this anymore?

Chapter 7
The Threat

Fri, Oct 27th, 2056

Julia awoke with a start, “Whoa!” She threw the cold, wet washcloth off her face.

“Happy Birthday, seventeen-year-old!” Cassie said cheerfully.

Julia shook her head to try and rid herself of the cold feeling, “I’ll never get used to that…”

“Well, I’ll leave you to your getting ready for school. But don’t you dare try to go back to sleep!”

“I’ll try not to.”

Cassandra left the room and Julia shook her head once again, “Oh well, Julia. I guess you really should blame yourself for that wake-up call. After all, you started it on Cassie’s last birthday.”

White Wolf sat at her computer, working on her last mission’s file. She was just about done writing it when an alarm went off. White Wolf knew just what that alarm meant, and quickly went to work. Someone was trying to hack into the Teen Titans’ main computer.

She quickly set up super-strength firewalls around the computer’s information; firewalls so strong that the Titans weren’t able to keep them up all of the time because they made it impossible to do anything on the computer since it was sapping all of the computer’s energy into itself. If the firewalls were kept up long enough, the power at TTHQ would all go out, every last bit of energy being sucked into the massive firewalls.

As the firewalls were being loaded up, White Wolf quickly saved her mission file and checked to see who was attempting to hack into their computer. The IP address was blocked by it’s own firewall. But White Wolf was an expert hacker. The only firewall she’d ever failed to get past was the Titans’ own firewall, which she and the other Titan techies had designed themselves. Needless to say, she quickly got through the firewall.

She recognized the IP address instantly. It was the Legion of Doom’s IP.

Not two seconds after finding the IP address, her computer shut off. Now it’s all up to the firewall, she thought. I’d better go inform Robin about what just happened. And the Justice League, in case the Legion tries to get into their computer as well!

She ran out of her room and went off to find Robin. There were only two places that he hung out at the most: his room and the gym. The gym was closer, so she went there first.

She found him sparring with Cyborg. She quickly stopped them and informed Robin of the situation. He, in turn, called Superman on his radio and told him about the hacking.

After this, the power came back on. “They’ve stopped trying to hack their way in,” White Wolf said. “Let’s get over to the main computer room and try and find what they were looking for.” So Robin and Cyborg went with her to the computer room.

“Ok, guys, once I get into the Legion’s computer I’ll have exactly three minutes before they find me and stop me.”

Cyborg nodded and pulled up the stop-watch on the computer on his arm, “Tell me when, White Wolf.”

White Wolf typed in something on the computer, “Now.”

Cyborg started the clock.

White Wolf typed furiously, searching for any clues as to why the Legion would be hacking into their computer.

“Two minutes left, White Wolf,” Cyborg informed her.

White Wolf found the plans for past missions that the Titans and the Justice League had foiled. Getting closer.

“One minute.”

Drat! This doesn’t say anything about them searching for something in our computer files! Wait a minute! What’s this?

“Thirty seconds.”

Neutrium? They’re looking for something called Neutrium?

“Ten seconds.”

White Wolf quickly got out of the Legion’s computer.

“Well, White Wolf?” Robin asked. “Did you find anything?”

“Yes and no. I didn’t find what they were looking for in our computer, but I did find something else that they’re looking for. Have you guys ever heard of something called Neutrium?”

Cyborg shook his head no. Robin raised his eyebrow, “It sounds familiar, but I don’t know from where.”

“Let’s use the old-fashioned way of finding out about something,” Cyborg said, “Google it.”

Robin and White Wolf stood at the head of the council room. Robin had called together this emergency meeting because he, Cyborg, and White Wolf found out something that the Legion was planning, but other than that Wolf Woman and the others didn’t know a thing. But the looks on Robin, Cyborg, and White Wolf’s faces told them that the news was bad.

Once all of the council members came, Robin called Atomic Teen in as well. “He needs to hear this as well as you guys for reasons that will soon become clear,” Robin explained, “I’ll be telling the others about this, but the council and AT need to hear it first.”

“Earlier today,” White Wolf began, “The Legion attempted to hack into our database. I put up the firewall in time, but we wanted to know why they wanted into our database. So Robin, Cyborg, and I hacked into their computer to find the information. We only had three minutes, and that wasn’t enough time to find it. But we did find something that the Legion is planning.”

“They’re looking for a newly discovered element called Neutrium,” Robin stepped in. “It’s a very highly deadly substance that, when injected into the body, will begin to neutralize all internal organs, killing the victim within about thirty minutes after injection.”

You still have me ;-) I'm sorry I didn't comment sooner, but I was very busy, that Neutrium sounds scary! It sent shivers down my spine, hearing the last few words! Very descriptive! Keep up the good work!
