“The Legion is looking for a newly discovered element called Neutrium,” Robin said. “It’s a very highly deadly substance that, when injected into the body, will begin to neutralize all internal organs, killing the victim within about thirty minutes after injection.” He paused as the others let it sink in, then continued, “The information that White Wolf found in their computer file said that they were getting very close to it, but they haven’t actually found it yet.
“I probably don’t have to tell you how bad it would be for the Legion to find it and be able to use it,” he continued. “So White Wolf and I have come up with a plan. Three Titans will get into the Legion’s Minion Training program and become Minions. Then, when the time is right, they’ll sneak into the Legion’s computer room and get the information on where the Neutrium is.”
“But Robin,” Batgirl spoke up, “Why can’t White Wolf just hack into their system again and find it?”
“Because it would take more than the three minutes I’ll have,” White Wolf answered, “Ten minutes, at least.”
“The three Titans that will be going on this mission are Wolf Woman, Grey Wolf, and Atomic Teen,” Robin said, “I’ll brief them fully on the mission once this meeting is over. Any questions?”
“Why is White Wolf not going? If you are going to be doing the hacking into the Legion’s computer, will not you need an expert in the computers there?” Starfire asked with her typical bad grammar.
“She’s not going because we need her here in case the Legion tries to hack into our computer again,” Robin answered. “She’ll also be helping out with communications with our mission team.”
“I will be downloading a file into each of the mission team members’ mini-computers.” White Wolf put in, “That should help them with finding the info considerably.”
After a pause Robin spoke up again, “All right, if there are no further questions this council meeting is over.”
Everyone got up and left except for the Wolf Pack, Robin, and Atomic Teen. “As I said earlier, you three will apply as minions and go through the Legion’s minion training program. White Wolf has already hacked into their computer to find the Legion‘s radio frequency, which you will use to get into the training program. Atomic Teen, your alias is George Key, who is a computer hacker, and that’s how you found the frequency.”
“But won’t that tip them off?” Wolf Woman asked.
“I don’t think so,” Robin replied. “One of the things that they look for in Minions is computer hacking skills. I think that your using this to find out how to contact them will impress the Legion.
“Now, AT, George Key is also a runaway who has gotten into trouble with the law many times over, with your biggest crime being hacking into top secret FBI files. Wolf Woman, your alias is Victoria Beckett. You used to be a martial arts teacher and then switched to petty crime. Grey Wolf, you’re Lionel Smith; you’re also highly trained in martial arts and you have no crime record.
“I’ll give you all the files on your aliases so that you can make the necessary changes to your looks, as well as memorize your life stories. Then tomorrow you’ll head off.”
White Wolf spoke up, “Grey Wolf, Wolf Woman, I’ll need your left gloves so that I can program the hacking file into them. AT, I’ll also need your mini-computer.”
As they did this Robin spoke up again, “Just some last basic guidelines for your mission: The Legion’s training is very dangerous. It isn’t uncommon for people to get killed during it. So be very alert and cautious. Don’t look too good and give away your positions, but don’t be so bad that you either die or make them not want you three as minions. Then after you complete the training they will assign you all to a member of the Legion of Doom. This will give you opportunities to check their computers for any info that might help us. Once you find anything you will inform the others and get out of there. Then, and only then, will you report what you have found out to us.”
“All right!”
“Great!”
“Let’s get to it!”

“How long will you be gone this time?”
“I don’t know, Dad. It will probably be over in about a week, unless we get really lucky and find the info right away.”
“Julia, I understand that you’re a Superhero now, but you’re letting it get in the way of your education. Your Mother and I have been praying about all of this, and we’re convinced that He wants you to be Wolf Woman; but what about the other things in your life? You’ve had to give up volleyball because of your unpredictable schedule; you’re missing weeks of school, and church and Youth Group. What about your life as Julia?”
“I know, Dad. And I’ve been thinking a lot about this too,” she said. “I miss playing volleyball, and going to Youth Group, and doing all of the stuff that I used to do so much of. But if this is what God wants me to do then I will make those sacrifices. Besides, I don’t really need to go to school anymore, do I Dad? I’ve just started my junior year in High School, but I’ve learned barely anything new since you home schooled me. I was always far ahead, why don’t I just stop school and not have to worry about it anymore?”
“That’s what I’m talking about, Julia. Your social life is dying. I think that you need to talk with Robin, or whoever is in charge, about this. I’m not saying to stop; I’m just saying to slow down. Okay?”
“It’s not that simple, Dad.” Julia said. Then she sighed, “But I’ll try. I do have to admit that I don’t really have any friends except for those in the Teen Titans with me. I’ll talk with Robin; but after this mission.”
“Agreed. Now, what am I going to tell Cassie about your leaving?”
“Nothing, I’m telling her that I’m going to an old friend’s house and staying there for a while, and that once I get back I’m taking her somewhere as a surprise.”
“And the school Principle?”
“That’s your job, I can’t think of everything!”

Julia stared at her face in the mirror. There’s no way I’ll be recognized, even if Leo were standing right next to me! She’d dyed her hair a light shade of brown, put on brown contacts, and applied her make-up in a way that made her look older than she really was. Then again, he somehow knew who I was when he first fought me. Guess I’d better just pray that I’m able to avoid him!
She stepped out of the women’s bathroom and saw William and Gregory (Atomic Teen). They too looked much different than they normally did. William had dyed his normally dark blond hair black and slicked it back with gel. He also wore brown contacts. Gregory dyed his normally dark brown hair a dirty blond color and wore blue contacts.
Robin and Raven walked up to the three of them. “Very good, guys. You all definitely look different!” he said.
“Now I’m going to put up a small telepathic block around your minds.” Raven said, “It should protect you from any passing scans from one of the Legion’s telepaths and keep them from finding out your true identities. Anything bigger and they would spot it, but they shouldn’t be able to see this block unless they do a deep scan.”
“Will this involve scanning us yourself?” Gregory asked.
“No, I won’t see anything.”
He nodded and Raven closed her eyes. After about thirty seconds had passed, she opened her eyes, “Done.”
“Thanks, Raven,” Julia said.
“Well, it’s about 1 o’clock.” Robin said, “You’d better leave now if you’re going to get there by 2. Good luck.”
“We don’t need luck,” Gregory reminded him.
Robin smiled, “Right. God be with you guys!”
“We’ll all be praying for you!” Raven said as Julia came up and hugged her.
“Right, let’s go!” William said. And so they headed off.
