Chapter 10
Mission Time!

Fri, Nov 17th, 2056

"Hey guys," William said at the dinner table on their fourth day as Minions, "have you noticed those people sitting over there?" he pointed to some tables in the corner.

"Of course, who hasn’t?" Julia said.

"I know," Gregory added, "They’re dressed differently than all of the other minions and they keep to themselves."

"I just found out about them," William said, "It turns out that they’re in a new program set up by the Legion, called the Ninjas."

"WHAT?" Julia exclaimed.

"You mean that we could have become Ninjas instead of Minions?" Gregory exclaimed.

"Evidently." William said.

They sat it silence for a while, just eating their food (if you can call it that). All other Minions stayed away from their table, Julia figured that it was because they were scared of her because she had beat up the biggest and best of them all. And she was probably right.

When people started to leave the dining room, Julia looked at the others and whispered, "All right, once everyone else is out we make our move. Red, you will lead us to where we need to go. Once there, both of you set up your computers and start up the program; we might find the info faster with two computers. I’ll be the look out. Once you find the info, we get it all on the jump drive. Is everything clear?"

"Yep."

"I’m ready."

"Good."

They waited at their table, eating their lunch slowly, until they were the only ones left in the room.

"Let’s go!" Gregory said excitedly.

The three young heroes walked out of the eating area and went towards their rooms, but when they got to a fork in the hall they turned the opposite direction from their rooms.

Stealthily, they walked down the hall. Finally, Gregory found the door. Quietly, he opened the door and they walked in.

The room was dark, but not so dark that they couldn’t see. Julia stayed by the door, watching out for anyone through the one-way window. The guys got out their mini computers and started up the program.

They got done finding the info rather quickly and got the file onto a jump drive. Then they deleted the info off of the Legion’s computer. "Hey guys," Julia whispered, "Since that was so fast, we should try to get more stuff from their computer. Maybe we can find out why they find to search our computer!"

"Already started," Gregory said, and Will nodded his head.

A couple minutes later, Julia saw something. "Someone’s coming this way!" she whispered.

"We need to get out of here!" Gregory said picking up his equipment.

William did the same. "Is he coming in?"

"Yes, we’ll have to jump him. It’s Leo." Julia replied.

"Okay, get near the door." Gregory said.

"Get ready," Julia said as they neared the door, "Three, two, one, now!"

They opened the door and ran out, knocking Leo to the ground. Then they ran.

"Traders escaping!!!!!" Leo yelled, "STOP THEM!!!!!!!"

Since they were so close to the minion quarters, the minions all heard and came running. Soon the three heroes were running as fast as they could with over thirty minions on their tails, and the minions were gaining on them!

"Go on guys, run!" Julia yelled to her friends.

"What about you?" They yelled back.

"I’ll stall them! You need to get back to HQ with the info, GO!"

There was no time to argue. Reluctantly, the boys ran on ahead and Julia stayed behind, trying to keep the minions busy. I can’t let any of them get past! She fought them with all that she had, but with the thirty minions against just her, they quickly subdued her. Luckily, she had kept them back long enough for her friends to get away.

Reluctantly, William and Gregory ran on ahead, leaving Julia behind to face the minions. They didn’t want to leave their friend behind, but they knew that if the minions caught them their whole mission would be a flop.

They got to the exit okay; apparently Julia had done a good job with keeping the minions busy.

"Let’s get back to HQ," Gregory said.

William looked back toward the Legion’s hideout.

"I don’t want to leave her anymore than you do, Will." Gregory said, "But once we get back we can make a plan to help her escape." An alarm sounded, "Now come on, or she’ll have stayed behind for nothing."

So they ran on to TTHQ.

Julia sat in her prison cell. No one had found out who she really was yet, but she was sure that they would try very soon.

Very soon came almost too quickly, for she saw three figures coming towards her. As they neared she could tell who they were: Leo the Lion, Poison Ivy, and Green Minion.

"I knew it was to good to be true," Poison Ivy stated, "We couldn’t possibly get one great minion without it becoming a trader, much less three."

"Hey!" Green Minion interjected.

Poison Ivy turned and looked him in the eye. She blew a kiss to him and he began to gag.

"Ivy, this isn’t the time," Leo said, "We just lost three minions, must we lose another?"

"I don’t like minions back-talking to me, Leo."

"Nor do I, but there are other ways of punishing than your poisonous kisses."

"Fine," she turned to the minion who was now on the floor from her poison and blew another kiss; the antidote.

"Now, let’s figure out who you are." Leo turned towards Julia and opened the prison cell.

He walked over to Julia, who tried to look calm. Once he got over to her, in one quick motion, so quick that she couldn’t defend herself, he yanked on her hair.

"Ouch!" she yelped.

"Well, the hair’s not a wig," Leo said, looking at the few hairs he’d pulled out, "but maybe it’s dyed."

"How about contacts?" Poison Ivy asked.

Leo moved toward her again, but Julia stopped him saying in a disguised voice, "Don’t get anywhere near my eyes! I’ll take them out myself." And she did just that, taking off her brown eye contacts and revealing her blue eyes.

"Thank-you for cooperating!" Leo said, "Now want to tell me if your hair is dyed and if you’re using something to make your skin look a different shade?"

She just stared blankly at that; she wasn’t going to cooperate any more than she had to.

As she stared Leo came closer, looking at her, no, staring at her. She shifted nervously.

"There’s something about those eyes that…" Leo started to say, and then stopped himself mid sentence. Then he looked over at Poison Ivy and said, "I‘m going to do a DNA test on her; you two watch her closely. And Green, keep your mouth shut, ‘cause I won‘t be around to stop her from poisoning you again." Leo walked out of the room.
