Chapter 13
The Truth
“What?” Cassie exclaimed standing up.
“Yes, I’m Wolf Woman. Now maybe you can understand all of those times that I ran off, or stayed away for a week, or lied to you. I’m not saying that that’s an excuse for lying to you. I should have told you before, but maybe you can see why I did.”
Cassandra looked away from Julia, but then she looked back, “Prove it to me.”
“Prove what?”
“That you’re Wolf Woman.”
“Oh, okay.” Julia said, “Cap Flow.” The Wolf Suit appeared on her. “There you go.”
Cassie turned away, “All right. Now take it off so that I’m just talking to Julia, not a Superhero.”
“Cap Flow,” Julia said once more.
There was silence for almost a minute then Cassie lost it, “How could you have kept this a secret from me? All those times we trusted each other with our crushes, wishes, and all other secrets, but really you were keeping the biggest one of all to yourself! I thought you trusted me! I thought…”
Julia sensed what she thought, “I loved you?”
Cassie turned and nodded, hot tears running down her face.
“I do love you, Cassie. That’s why I kept it a secret. If you knew then someone could hurt you to find out. I didn’t want that to happen.”
“So you lied instead and hurt me yourself.”
“I know.” Julia said, “I know. I have hurt you. By not being there for you, and by not telling you about this. Cassie, I was wrong, but please believe me, I thought that I was doing the right thing. I truly did.”
“Well it wasn’t.”
“I know now.”
“And it hurts.”
“I know that too.”
“I still love you.”
“I’m glad.”
“But I’m a little mad.”
“At least.”
“Yeah, at least.”
“I’m sorry. But now you know. I hope that someday you’ll forgive me for not telling you.”
“I do. I do. But I’m still mad so I don’t. But I do.”
Julia laughed quietly, “Think about it, clear your mind and we’ll talk later.” She stood up and walked over to the door. “Night, Cass.”
“Night, Julia.”

Mon, Nov 20th, 2056
Julia and Cassandra ate their dinner in silence. Their parents talked about what they’d done that day. Every once in a while Julia or Cassie would nod their head, but they did nothing more than that.
Finally, Christina Wolfe got sick of their silence, “What’s wrong with you two? Normally you’re talking so much that Dad and I can’t get a word in edgewise.”
“Julia can tell you.”
Julia turned and looked at her sister, “Are you sure that you want me to be the one to tell them?”
Cassie just nodded.
Julia sighed, “Cassie is mad at me because she found out a secret that I’d been keeping that I’d never told her.”
“Well Cassandra? Is that the reason?” their Mom asked.
She nodded.
“People are entitled to have secrets that they don’t tell anyone, Cassie. Except for their parents that is,” she added quickly.
“I know, but I’m still mad.”
“Why? What was the secret?”
Julia sighed again, “She found out who I am last night.”
“Oh.”
There was silence for a little bit, and then Michael Wolfe asked, “How? How did you find out, Cass?”
“Because the Principal talked to me about Julia and why she was gone. He had a completely different story than I had been told. I asked her about it and caught her.”
“Julia!”
“Mom, I tried! But like she just said, she caught me. I had to tell.”
“So it’s really Mom’s fault that you didn’t tell me?”
“No. I still wouldn’t have. Because I didn’t want to put you in danger. Mom wanted that too, but I wouldn’t have told you anyways. I’m sorry. I should have told you earlier, but it seemed like the right thing to do.”
“Yeah well it wasn’t!”
“People make mistakes, Cass. The Bible says that all people sin. That ‘all’ includes me. I’m not sure that keeping it a secret was a sin per-say, but it was a mistake. One that I truly sorry for.”
“Yeah, well-”
“I think I liked it better when you two were quiet.” their Dad broke in. “Cassie, Julia admitted that she made a mistake and she said that she was sorry for it. Can’t you forgive her and move on?”
Easier said than done!
Julia started at this thought that she’d heard come from her sister. It had to be a very strong thought, or else she wouldn’t have heard it. But it surprised her, not because her sister thought that, but because she wasn’t used to her developing powers yet.
“Yes, Dad.” Cassie turned to Julia, “I’m sorry I yelled, and I forgive you. I know that you thought what you were doing was right.”
“I forgive you for yelling. Thank-you for forgiving me.” Even though it’ll probably take a while before you truly do forgive me.
There was silence for the rest of the meal. Cassie finished first and ran upstairs. Julia rushed through the rest of her meal and ran up too.
Julia knocked on Cassie’s door. “Come in,” a quiet, slightly annoyed voice said.
“Cass?”
“Yeah?”
“You haven’t asked me yet.”
“Asked you what?”
“What I promised I’d do with you when I came back.”
“I haven’t been in the mood to ask.”
“Well,” Julia said, “do you want to know?”
“Sure.”
“Well, I bought tickets for us to go see our favorite band, Implosion.”
Cassie’s eyes lit up.
“But then I was delayed and the concert was two days ago.”
“Oh.”
“So then I thought, ‘Maybe I can trade them in for some tickets to another concert by them’, but that didn’t work out either.”
Cassie groaned, “Why are you telling me this?”
“Because then I happened to tell a good friend of mine about what happened, and he personally bought us two more tickets to see the show in Portland, Oregon, plus two-way tickets for a plane ride there! We’d leave on Friday after school, stay at your old friend Melissa’s house, go to the concert with her on Saturday-I’m paying for that ticket-and then come home on Sunday.”
Cassie’s eyes widened, “Really? Wow! And you’ve talked this over with Mom, Dad, and Melissa’s parents?”
“Would I tell you this if I hadn’t yet?”
“Wow! This is great! So who’s the friend?”
Who do I say? Dick or Robin? “He or she wishes to remain anonymous.”
“Well, tell him or her thank-you for me!”
“I will.”
“And thank-you for doing that originally, and for working this all out.”
“Are you still mad at me?”
“Yes, a little. But I’ll get over it; I just need some time.”
“I understand completely, Cassie,” Julia said. “I really do.”
“Thanks, Julia. And I won’t act like I did at the dinner table again; that was really rude of me.”
“I know you won’t, and I forgive you for doing so.”
Cassie stood up and hugged her sister. They had some problems, but they’d work them out together.

Leo looked over Rabies’ shoulder, “How’s the Neutrium coming along?”
“Very well, Leo. Soon it should be ready to use.”
“It’s too bad those darn Super Friends wiped the location out of our minds.”
“Yeah, and off of our computer when they came to steal the info. But don’t worry, Leo. Soon the little bit we do have will be ready, then we can get some payback!”
That's the end of The C.F.M.C. I am currently working on the story that comes after this, but it's going rather slowly. Because of this, I won't be posting the next installment of Wolf Woman's story until I start getting back into my Superhero flow. In the meantime, however, I am posting another story of mine at this blog: Songflight. It is totally unrelated to this story and has nothing to do with Superheroes, but I hope that you will still come by and see if you like it. I hope to be able to post more Wolf Woman stories, as well as a story about another of my Superheroes that takes place about ten years before Wolf Woman came into being soon. But until then, I hope you enjoy Songflight.

Once they were sure that the Legion was taken care of, the Super Friends had one more thing to do: destroy the Neutrium.
The most powerful of the Super Friends all went to the mine the Legion had made and found the Neutrium. They grabbed a small sample to make an antidote from (in case more Neutrium was ever found) and then destroyed the rest..
Once their job was done, they all headed to the Titan’s HQ. This was a day to celebrate.
Once those who were hurt in the fight were taken care of, they all headed to the big room. There they listened to rock music, talked with friends, and pigged out.
Wolf Woman, who had dyed her hair back to her natural blond color, would wait for all the fun; first she had to figure something out that had been bugging her. She walked over to Raven.
“Hey Raven,” she said, “could I ask you something?”
“Sure, what is it?”
“Telepath, while I was captured, scanned me and found out some things about me. He told me what he found out and one of the things that he said that he found was that I am telepathic. Was he telling the truth?”
Raven looked surprised, “He said you’re telepathic?”
Wolf Woman nodded.
“Well, I won’t know for sure unless I scan you. If you really want to know, fine, but that’s what it will take.”
“Yes, I want to know. Go ahead Raven.”
Wolf Woman braced herself, when Telepath had scanned her before it hurt very badly, so she wanted to be prepared. Raven looked directly at Wolf Woman, yet somehow through her. Raven’s pupils enlarged slightly and Wolf Woman felt a little pressure, but no pain. In fact, Raven’s presence in her mind was slightly soothing.
Then Raven took a deep breath and let it out, “Yes, Wolf Woman, you are telepathic.”
Wolf Woman was silent for a while, trying to take it in. “Wow, I am. What do you think I should I do? Do you think that I should learn how to use my telepathic powers?” Saying “my telepathic powers” sounded weird to her; since this was totally new to her she wasn’t sure of how to address it.
“Yes, I think that you should, though that’s really your decision. But if you do, the other telepaths here and I can help. It will take a while before you get really good at it, but I think that you can do it.”
“Thanks Raven, I think I’d like that.” Wolf Woman said.
They were both silent for a while, then Wolf Woman smiled and said, “Wanna go find some other friends to talk to with me, Raven?”
Raven smiled, “Sure.”
So they walked together, towards Grey Wolf, White Wolf, and a few others. Wow, so I am telepathic. It’s weird to think of myself that way. Then she silently prayed, “Thank-You, Father, for this new gift that You have given me. Please help me to use it for Your glory, and help me as I learn how to use it. Thank-you that we were able to stop the Legion of Doom’s plans to destroy us and to hurt many other people; without Your help our plan would not have worked. Thank-you for my friends and please help me to have a good time with them celebrating our victory, and help us to remember where we got this victory. I love You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.”
Wolf Woman decided to keep her telepathy a secret from everyone except the other telepaths, who would be teaching her. Someday the others would find out, but for now it would be a secret weapon that even most of the Super Friends didn’t know that they had.
She and Raven got over to their friends. Wolf Woman talked with them throughout the whole party, glad to be back among friends. She told them all about what had happened to her while she was captured (leaving out the part about her being telepathic) and then they told her what had happened while she was gone.
After a couple of hours, Julia went home and told her parents what had happened. Then she went upstairs to talk to Cassandra.
“Hi Cass,” Julia said, peeking through the door crack, “Can I come in?”
“Sure,” Cassie said, “but only if you’re going to tell me the truth.”
“What?” Julia said walking into the room. She sat on the floor while Cassandra sat on the bed, “What are you talking about?”
“You told me that you were going to a friend’s house because she was going through a hard time.” Cassandra said, “But then the Principle came up to me on Thursday and asked me how your work at the church was going. He said that Dad told him that you were baby-sitting younger kids at the church while the adults had a Bible study.”
Oh no! “Umm, the Principal must have heard Dad wrong,” Julia suggested.
“How could he get that out of ‘She’s spending some time with a friend who’s having a hard time’?”
“I don’t know,” Julia admitted.
“Well, since I know that you weren’t working at the church, Dad must have lied for you, but the question is, why would he lie about that? Then I ask myself, then was she really at a friend’s house at all? Then I ask myself, why is my sister lying to me?” As she said that last question, her voice cracked.
“Cassie,” Julia started, but then she stopped. She had no clue what to say. Should she tell her the truth? Or should she try to make up a great explanation. A Bible verse popped into her head, “Thou shalt not bear false testimony against thy neighbor.”
“Okay God,” Julia quickly prayed, “I’ll tell her. Please help her to understand!”
“Okay, Cassie.” Julia said, “You want the truth, so I’ll give you the truth. But first I need to say that I’m sorry about lying to you; I didn’t want to but I wanted to protect you. Knowing this secret might put your life in danger, and I don’t want to do that to you. But now I’ve also realized that by lying to you I’ve been sinning, and that by lying I hurt you. I just want to say I’m sorry and I hope that someday you’ll forgive me.”
“Go on.”
“Okay,” Julia took a deep breath and let it out, “Cass, I’m a Superhero.”

Chapter 12
The C.F.M.C.
Telepath smiled, “That’s two more codes we know.”
Oh great, Julia thought. He’ll probably find out more before this fight’s over! There’s no one here that can protect us. ...unless he was telling the truth about me being telepathic! If he was, then maybe I can protect us! I’ll try next time he attacks one of us!
The Leopard, Rabies, and four minions came out towards the Heroes, surrounding them. Tiger Lady hissed, claws extended; Batgirl, now free from Telepath’s attack, straightened up and reached for a Bat-a-rang from her utility belt; Dark Warrior drew his double katanas; Beastboy changed to a leopard and crouched, ready to pounce; Julia, though not Wolf Woman, waited to attack.
“Let me at them first, guys.” Telepath ordered.
Beastboy leaped over two minions’ heads and ran to pounce on the Telepath, but after two leaps Beastboy crumpled to the ground in pain. Julia tried to block the attack, but she couldn’t.
The others followed Beastboy’s lead and ran forward to attack Telepath. One by one they fell to the ground. But once two of the others went down, Beastboy got up again.
He can only get two at a time; we just might be able to do this. Julia ran out with her friends, but was stopped instantly by the Telepath. I won’t let him win!
Julia got up, despite the pain and slowly, painfully moved towards Telepath. When the others saw her they did the same. Telepath quickly switched back and forth, hurting a couple of them for a little bit and then needing to get a different teen who was getting too close.
Telepath saw that he needed help, “Now!”
The other Legion members ran forward. Leopard drew her claws and used them as swords against Dark Warrior, Rabies went after Beastboy with a tranquilizer gun, and the four minions split themselves amongst the other Titans. The Heroes kept trying to get to Telepath, but whenever they tried he would stop them with his mind.
Julia figured that in order to win this one they’d have to take out the Telepath. So, I’m telepathic, huh? She looked over at the fallen prison bars and tried flinging them with her mind.
Telepath just laughed, “I said telepathic, not telekinetic!” Then he pulled out his radio and called Leo, “Leo, I just scanned them. We were wrong, we only need ten codes. I have them all,” he then whispered them to Leo.
What? Only ten? Oh well, I’ll figure that out later. Julia ran over to Batgirl, who was fighting two minions, and helped her out. Even without weapons or gadgets, she was an excellent fighter.
Then Julia remembered something that Telepath had said earlier: “deep scanning another telepath, trained or not, is much harder work than deep scanning a normal person”.
So I guess our best bet is me. With that thought, Julia turned and ran towards Telepath. Julia felt pain in her head but kept going. You aren’t going to win!
She heard Telepath say inside her head; “This isn’t the battle that you should be worrying about.” She knew that he was talking about the C.F.M.C. “We now have enough codes to get into the computer. Sorry to break it to you, but your friends are history, Miss Wolfe!”
She hated the way he said that, Stop calling me that!
With pain still throbbing in her head Julia jumped, kicking Telepath in the shoulder. Since she was in pain she didn’t get to her normal kick force, so Telepath was still standing but he was shaken.
She jumped at him, but he moved out of the way. She landed on her hands and changed it into a back handspring (not a very graceful one, but it worked). Then she ran at him and punched. He blocked it and she punched again. And again. And again. Then she kicked at his head, but he caught her foot. But she’d been expecting that and she jumped up and kicked him in the face with her other foot while flipping over backwards. She landed on her feet and jumped at him again, this time hitting him in the back of the head and knocking him out cold.
Then she looked back and surveyed the rest of the battle. Two of the minions were unconscious, Leopard and Dark Warrior were still dueling, and Rabies was trying desperately to hit Beastboy with his tranq gun. And he had his back turned to her. She ran at him, jumped and kicked him in the back of his head. He fell to the ground, unconscious.
Beastboy then ran to help Dark Warrior, while Julia and the girls finished fighting the minions. Soon all of the villains were out cold.
“Is everyone okay?” Dark Warrior asked. The others nodded their heads. “Then let‘s go,” he said, “We have another battle to catch!”

Raven looked around at her teammates. They could see the army of Super Villains and Minions coming towards the C.F.M.C. hideout.
I sure hope that this plan works.
____________________
Robin saw the Legion coming their way. He grabbed his radio and called Aqualad.
“Watch Tower team,” Robin said, “The enemy is coming this way; we need you and your group to get here ASAP.”
“Will do, Watch Tower over and out.”
Then Robin called Raven’s team. “Do you see the enemy?”
“Yes, Robin, we do.”
“Get ready, we’ll need you very soon.” He shut off his radio.
All right, I hope that the Wolf Rescue and Watch Tower teams get here soon; we’ll need all the help that we can get!
The Legion’s army came in as fast as an eagle’s shadow. The Super Friends, trying to protect their most valuable information, quickly met the attack.
After a few minutes of fighting, both the TT and JL Watch Tower teams made it to the battle and helped to ward off the attack. Ten minutes later the Wolf Rescue team made it back along with Julia, who was now a brunette Wolf Woman (she looked just like White Wolf, only with shorter hair). Before running into the fray, Batgirl handed Wolf Woman a small, circular object. "What is this?" she'd asked.
"It's a stablizer. I can't tell you why you need it just now, but you do!"
So Wolf Woman slipped the stablizer into a compartment in her utility belt, and then ran in to join the battle.
Soon Telepath, Leopard, Rabies, and the minions came to join the fight. Telepath then tried to hurt people mentally but was blocked by a telepathic wall made by certain telepathic members of the Super Friends.
The fight went on for what seemed like hours but was probably only a half hour. Minions quickly went down but the others were not easily broken. When it seemed that the Super Friends would win, the Legion brought out their new secret weapon: the Ninjas.
Ninjas were an advanced type of minion; stronger, better trained, they didn’t go down as easily as regular minions. They even were better fighters than some of the Legion’s main members! With their new help, the Legion had the upper hand.
Wolf Woman was one of the heroes in the back, so she met the Ninjas head on, along with a few other heroes. Wolf Woman had been trained in all martial arts except Jujitsu, so she wasn’t quite sure what to expect.
A bunch of the Ninjas tried to run past the back lines and into the main fighting; Wolf Woman and the others tried to keep them away, but a bunch of them got through.
Finally, one of the Legion’s members made it to the Computer. Rabies typed in one of the codes to access the Complete Files. No one moved to stop him; all were too busy fighting. Rabies typed in the second that the Legion knew. Then the two they’d learned from Julia.
Then he typed in one of the phony codes Telepath had gotten from Batgirl when he first scanned her. Then the screen went all red and all of the Legion members disappeared!
____________________
Raven watched as the entire Legion’s members appeared in the room that her team was in. Raven’s team had only ten seconds before the Legion disappeared again and reappeared in the Legion’s own hideout.
Raven’s team consisted of all of the Super Friends’ telepaths. The members of her team were: Wonder Woman, Wonder Girl, Troia, and Martian Manhunter.
Raven joined hands with the other telepaths and combined her powers with her team members’. Together they erased any memory of the C.F.M.C. from the members of the Legion of Doom’s minds. They also wiped away any memory of the Neutrium’s whereabouts.
They finished just in time, for right after they were done the Legion disappeared.

Tiger Lady looked around at her teammates, Batgirl, Dark Warrior, and Beastboy, who would be accompanying her on this mission. Their mission: Break Julia out of the Legion of Doom’s prison.
Once in the chopper that they would take to rescue Julia, Tiger Lady called Robin on her radio, "Okay Robin, we’re all set to go."
"Has Raven come by yet?"
"Yes, but I don’t understand what she did."
"In case Telepath is there and tries to scan you for C.F.M.C. codes, she put faulty information in your minds. Just wish we’d thought of that before we sent out spy team. Anyway, you all have two fake codes placed in your minds, as well as information saying that you only need ten codes to get in. Hopefully he’ll be there and see it."
"Wait, you want him to scan us?"
"Raven also put up blocks in your minds so that he can’t see anything else. Raven told me that he shouldn’t notice the blocks if he’s only looking for the codes, so he won‘t get suspicious. Don’t worry, he won’t see anything."
"All right. Wolf Rescue over and out."
____________________
Once Tiger Lady turned her radio off, Robin called Aqualad, who was in charge of watching over TTHQ, "Aqualad, I have reason to believe that the Legion will come here in full force soon. Stay at HQ, but be ready to come here fast. And also be ready to get the Justice Leaguers who stayed to watch their HQ to help once I call."
"Will do, Watch Tower over and out."
Robin then called another group of Titans and Justice Leaguers, "Raven, are you and your group in place?"
"Yes, we’re ready and waiting for our part in this battle."
"Good, stay ready and alert. Computer team, over and out." And with that, he shut off his radio.
Robin surveyed his group’s position. They would be fighting to protect the Complete Files of the Main Computer, more commonly known as the C.F.M.C.
The Main Computer was where all Teen Titan and Justice League information was kept. What was in the computer alone was harmless even if the Legion found it, basically it just had the mission files that everyone made after a mission on it; it was the Complete Files that they had to worry about being accessed.
In those files was all the information on every one of the Super Friends, including every one of their weaknesses and secret identities. The reason that they had it was in case one or more of the Super Friends turned bad, that info would come in handy then. To protect the files from being opened by only one of them everyone only knew two of the thirty codes. That way the files could only be accessed by a big group of the Super Friends and not just one or two of them.
So why even bother with protecting it if the Legion only knew two of the codes? It was because with the Legion’s new secret weapon, Telepath, they could find out the other codes easily. Plus, if they found out that they only knew two of all the codes, they would probably just destroy the computer and the files. The Super Friends had to make the Legion forget about the C.F.M.C. forever, and they knew just how to do it.
____________________
Julia felt horrible; the Legion now knew the location of the Computer and two of its codes. I can’t believe I let him trick me like that! I hope that the others will be prepared for what’s coming their way.
Then Julia remembered something that Telepath had said earlier, after he’d scanned her to get the codes: "That’s two more codes we know!"
Why did he say "two more codes"? Plus he didn’t say anything about the location. So they must have already known some other codes and the location. But how could they have figured that out?
The only other two that have been captured recently were Plastic Man and Catwoman, and both said that they didn’t tell and that they hadn’t been scanned. So how did they figure that out?
Just then she heard footsteps coming up the prison hall. It was some of the Titans! Dark Warrior had his crossbow out, watching out for enemies. Close behind him followed Beastboy, Tiger Lady, and Batgirl.
"There she is." Dark Warrior pointed to her cell.
They ran up to her. "Whoa, Julia," Batgirl said, "I didn’t recognize you with brown hair! Are you alright?"
"Yes, I’m fine, but they found out the location of the C.F.M.C. and more than two pass codes."
"Telepath?" Tiger Lady asked.
"Yes."
"Wait a minute." Beastboy said, "More than two? You only know two."
"I know, but somehow they know more than what they got from me."
"Well, there’s no time to worry about that right now. Do you know where the keys are?" Tiger Lady asked.
"Yes, Leo has them," Julia said.
"Don’t worry about keys, dudes," Beastboy said, "Just back away from the door."
Julia did as he said while Beastboy turned into an elephant. He quickly knocked down the barred door.
"Thanks BB," Julia said.
"Now let’s get out of here." Batgirl said. They started walking, but suddenly Batgirl stopped and, holding her head, she cried out in pain.
They turned to see Telepath standing behind them. "You didn’t think that I’d let the prisoner escape, did you?"

Chapter 11
Telepathic?
It was late at night before William and Gregory got back to TTHQ, almost midnight, for they had had no transportation. But once they’d gotten there they wasted no time in getting their information to White Wolf and Robin.
"These guys did a great job," White Wolf told Robin after looking at the contents of the jump drive. "Not only did they find the location of the Neutrium, but they also were able to find out why the Legion was hacking into our computer system. They were looking for the codes for the C.F.M.C. and its location."
"If they’re so desperate to find the codes that they’ll hack into our computer, even knowing about our firewall that they most assuredly can’t get past, then they’re probably torturing Julia for the codes right now, since Leo knows that she’s Wolf Woman. So we need to get her out, soon!" Gregory said.
"At least she doesn’t have very much to give them," White Wolf added, "She knows the location, but only two of the codes. But still you’re right, we need to get her out of there."
"Plus if they get what she does know through the Telepath they probably won’t believe that she doesn’t know all of the codes." William pointed out, "If they think that, they might keep torturing her for something that she doesn’t know."
Robin’s eyes flamed with anger as he remembered what Leo had done to her before. He grabbed his radio, "Batgirl, you have a mission, meet me in the briefing room and bring Tigerlady, Beastboy, and Dark Warrior with you."
"Sure thing, Robin," she replied.
Robin switched off his radio and turned to the others, "I’ve recently learned from Raven, Troia, and other telepathic members of the Super Friends that with close range telepaths are very powerful; so I don’t think that Julia will be able to protect what she knows. So we need a team of Super Friends to go to where we keep the C.F.M.C. and guard it. White Wolf, I’ll need you on that team along with Grey Wolf, Atomic Teen, Starfire, Supergirl, Rottweiler, Golden Retriever, Cyborg, Gadget Guy, Superstar, various Justice Leaguers, and myself. I’ll call Superman and tell him of the situation and have him send some of the Justice League to help. The remaining Titans and Leaguers will watch over both Headquarters’ until we call them in."
"All right, Robin." White Wolf said.
"But wait." William said, "What about the Neutrium?"
"I need to talk to Superman about that," Robin said, "But believe me, we’ll do something about it!"

Sat, Nov 18th, 2056
"Good morning, Miss Wolfe."
Julia sat up straight and looked around for the source of that voice. It was the Telepath.
"Did you have a good sleep?" She heard him ask. But his mouth was not moving.
"Get out of my mind!" she said threateningly.
"As you can see I’ve sent everyone else out of here," he said, this time his mouth was moving, "There are a few things that I want to discuss with you. Like what I found out about you yesterday." he said, "Unfortunately, you fell unconscious before I could find everything I was supposed to look for."
Thank-you, God, she prayed silently.
"I sent them out because it’s against the rules of a telepath to talk about personal stuff that you learn about someone without that person’s permission. Don’t give me that look, even if I’m on the ‘evil’ side I have to keep the rules of a telepath."
"So you can’t tell them about the C.F.M.C. unless I say that you can?" she asked hopefully.
"No, that’s not personal per say." he said, "Now about what I learned. Number one is who you really are, Miss Wolfe. You’re Wolf Woman. I also learned of your old relationship with Leo the Lion before you were enemies.
"Now I have a question for you:" he continued, "Have you ever thought that you heard someone say something, like yelling or screaming, and then find out that they didn’t say anything at all?"
Julia’s mind raced back to after her first mission with Ivy and El Coyote. She had heard Grey Wolf yell, but he said he hadn’t yelled at all.
"Yes," Telepath said grinning, "It has happened to you once this past month, hasn’t it?"
She glared at him, "Stop that."
"The reason that I asked that was because of something else that I learned while searching your mind: you are telepathic."
"WHAT?"
"Yes, it’s surprising that you didn’t find out until now; most gain their powers around the age of thirteen. It’s too bad you aren’t trained; one out of a hundred million humans are telepaths and only one out of a hundred of those telepaths are trained. Oh sure those who aren’t trained can hear the very loud thoughts of others, but those who are trained can do so much more."
"How do I know that you’re telling the truth about this?" she asked.
"Why would I lie about it?"
There was no reason that she could think of, but maybe he did have a reason that she didn’t know about, how could she know? So many things raced through her mind at once. If this were true what would she do about it? Would she try to find someone who could train her to use her telepathic powers; or would she leave it alone? But she kept coming back to the same question: was Telepath telling the truth?
"You don’t think that you want to be trained and yet at the same time you do. And, you don‘t know if you can trust me." Telepath said.
"Stop reading my thoughts!" she snarled.
"You know, I’ve become pretty powerful in that area," he said, ignoring her, "I could teach you if you want, with a few conditions."
"Supposing I was interested, and I’m not, what would those conditions be?" Julia asked.
"Simply to switch sides," he said as if it wouldn’t be a big decision, "We could use more telepaths on this side."
"Never."
"You know, it’s really easy to read people’s casual thoughts when you are as good a telepath as I am." he said, changing the subject, "So when you are around me be careful not to think of anything important that you don’t want me to know. Like the pass codes for the C.F.M.C."
Instantly she thought of what she knew, not on purpose, but by reflex. She quickly tried to cover her thoughts by singing something in her head.
But it was too late, "Gotcha. That‘s two more codes we know!" Telepath grinned, "Thank-you for your cooperation, Miss Wolfe; deep scanning another telepath, trained or not, is much harder work than deep scanning a normal person, so you just saved me some work." And with that he started to walk away, but he turned back, "By the way, nice tune."

"God," Julia prayed, "Once Leo finds out who I am, he’ll torture me for sure! Please help me to be strong, and help my friends to get here quickly!
"Please also help Will and Gregory; I was able to keep the minions back long enough, but there are other Legion members who won’t give up so easily. Please help them to get away and get the info to the rest of the Titans!"
She looked up from her prayer to see Leo coming back. "Ivy, Green, leave us."
"What’s wrong, Leo?" Poison Ivy asked.
"Nothing," he smiled evilly, "Nothing at all."
Once the other two left, Leo walked up to her, "Well, Jules, it’s good to see you again."
"Can’t say the same about you."
He clicked his tongue, "How could you say that, Jules? We once were great pals; why, if I remember correctly, you even had a crush on me."
" ‘Once’ being the key-word here."
"I guess this means you won’t help me out? You won’t tell me what you and your buddies were looking for in the computers? You won’t tell me who was with you? You won’t tell me anything?"
She just stared at the prison wall.
"Well, if you won’t help me out the easy way, we’ll just have to do it the hard way. I’ll be right back." He opened the cell door and left.
Five minutes later he came back with another person; who she recognized as Telepath. Oh great! "God, please help me! I can’t let him get the information, I just can’t!"
"Well, Jules," Leo said, "I believe you’ve met Telepath once before. You’ve probably been wondering why you haven’t seen him ever since your first meeting. That’s because he’s been training himself to use his powers to the fullest. He’s gotten quite good and is improving daily. And you’re the first of your kind to see it first hand."
Leo opened the cell door and the two of them came in. Leo stayed by the door, but Telepath walked towards her until he stood about a yard away. He looked at her, studying her closely. Then he appeared to look through her head and into her mind. Then came searing pain, like a flaming coal inside her brain.
She tried desperately to protect her most important secrets, but slowly she felt control slipping away from her.
The pain grew worse, the searing hot coal pressing against the edges of her mind, almost seeming like it was trying to escape. She fought the urge to scream, which she knew would give Leo satisfaction. She wouldn’t let him have it.
"God please help me! Help me not to give anything away!"
And everything turned black.

A nine-year-old Raven fought hard to keep her emotions at bay. Even after being telekinetic for two years, it was still extremely hard for Raven to keep her powers under control.
She held back sobs and wiped her eyes. Meditation, she thought. That’s what I need. Maybe then my powers will stop.
Raven closed her eyes and concentrated, as her father had taught her. She’d done this quite a few times before, so she found her center relatively quickly. But this time it was different; she wasn’t alone.
She heard a voice inside her head, "Little girl, why are you crying?"
At first, Raven drew her mind away from the other presence. But then she came back; she needed someone to talk to. "I’m not feeling well," she said.
"It’s your mother, isn’t it? And your father isn’t trying to stop it."
"How do you know this?"
"I know a lot, Raven." he said, "I’ve been watching you for some time now. Your powers are quite impressive."
"I can’t control them."
"With some help you could. I can help you, Raven. I can love you."
Raven thought about this for a second, then asked, "Who are you?"
"A friend from the spirit world."
Raven started. She’d tried to contact the spirit world before, but her father said that no spirit would take interest in her until she’d reached maturity. Then why was he willing to be her spirit friend?
"Because I see great things ahead of you," the spirit broke into her thoughts. "I want to help you achieve them."
His words rang in her ears: "‘I can help you, Raven. I can love you.’" For so long she’d wanted a friend. For so long she’d wanted love. "Yes."
Raven sat up in bed. Julia! Something was wrong with Julia. But how can I know this? Raven thought, We aren’t connected in any way telepathically.
"It was probably just my way of getting out of that horrible memory dream," Raven decided aloud. "I’ve left that life; so why do I still have dreams about it?"

Chapter 10
Mission Time!
Fri, Nov 17th, 2056
"Hey guys," William said at the dinner table on their fourth day as Minions, "have you noticed those people sitting over there?" he pointed to some tables in the corner.
"Of course, who hasn’t?" Julia said.
"I know," Gregory added, "They’re dressed differently than all of the other minions and they keep to themselves."
"I just found out about them," William said, "It turns out that they’re in a new program set up by the Legion, called the Ninjas."
"WHAT?" Julia exclaimed.
"You mean that we could have become Ninjas instead of Minions?" Gregory exclaimed.
"Evidently." William said.
They sat it silence for a while, just eating their food (if you can call it that). All other Minions stayed away from their table, Julia figured that it was because they were scared of her because she had beat up the biggest and best of them all. And she was probably right.
When people started to leave the dining room, Julia looked at the others and whispered, "All right, once everyone else is out we make our move. Red, you will lead us to where we need to go. Once there, both of you set up your computers and start up the program; we might find the info faster with two computers. I’ll be the look out. Once you find the info, we get it all on the jump drive. Is everything clear?"
"Yep."
"I’m ready."
"Good."
They waited at their table, eating their lunch slowly, until they were the only ones left in the room.
"Let’s go!" Gregory said excitedly.
The three young heroes walked out of the eating area and went towards their rooms, but when they got to a fork in the hall they turned the opposite direction from their rooms.
Stealthily, they walked down the hall. Finally, Gregory found the door. Quietly, he opened the door and they walked in.
The room was dark, but not so dark that they couldn’t see. Julia stayed by the door, watching out for anyone through the one-way window. The guys got out their mini computers and started up the program.
They got done finding the info rather quickly and got the file onto a jump drive. Then they deleted the info off of the Legion’s computer. "Hey guys," Julia whispered, "Since that was so fast, we should try to get more stuff from their computer. Maybe we can find out why they find to search our computer!"
"Already started," Gregory said, and Will nodded his head.
A couple minutes later, Julia saw something. "Someone’s coming this way!" she whispered.
"We need to get out of here!" Gregory said picking up his equipment.
William did the same. "Is he coming in?"
"Yes, we’ll have to jump him. It’s Leo." Julia replied.
"Okay, get near the door." Gregory said.
"Get ready," Julia said as they neared the door, "Three, two, one, now!"
They opened the door and ran out, knocking Leo to the ground. Then they ran.
"Traders escaping!!!!!" Leo yelled, "STOP THEM!!!!!!!"
Since they were so close to the minion quarters, the minions all heard and came running. Soon the three heroes were running as fast as they could with over thirty minions on their tails, and the minions were gaining on them!
"Go on guys, run!" Julia yelled to her friends.
"What about you?" They yelled back.
"I’ll stall them! You need to get back to HQ with the info, GO!"
There was no time to argue. Reluctantly, the boys ran on ahead and Julia stayed behind, trying to keep the minions busy. I can’t let any of them get past! She fought them with all that she had, but with the thirty minions against just her, they quickly subdued her. Luckily, she had kept them back long enough for her friends to get away.
____________________
Reluctantly, William and Gregory ran on ahead, leaving Julia behind to face the minions. They didn’t want to leave their friend behind, but they knew that if the minions caught them their whole mission would be a flop.
They got to the exit okay; apparently Julia had done a good job with keeping the minions busy.
"Let’s get back to HQ," Gregory said.
William looked back toward the Legion’s hideout.
"I don’t want to leave her anymore than you do, Will." Gregory said, "But once we get back we can make a plan to help her escape." An alarm sounded, "Now come on, or she’ll have stayed behind for nothing."
So they ran on to TTHQ.
____________________
Julia sat in her prison cell. No one had found out who she really was yet, but she was sure that they would try very soon.
Very soon came almost too quickly, for she saw three figures coming towards her. As they neared she could tell who they were: Leo the Lion, Poison Ivy, and Green Minion.
"I knew it was to good to be true," Poison Ivy stated, "We couldn’t possibly get one great minion without it becoming a trader, much less three."
"Hey!" Green Minion interjected.
Poison Ivy turned and looked him in the eye. She blew a kiss to him and he began to gag.
"Ivy, this isn’t the time," Leo said, "We just lost three minions, must we lose another?"
"I don’t like minions back-talking to me, Leo."
"Nor do I, but there are other ways of punishing than your poisonous kisses."
"Fine," she turned to the minion who was now on the floor from her poison and blew another kiss; the antidote.
"Now, let’s figure out who you are." Leo turned towards Julia and opened the prison cell.
He walked over to Julia, who tried to look calm. Once he got over to her, in one quick motion, so quick that she couldn’t defend herself, he yanked on her hair.
"Ouch!" she yelped.
"Well, the hair’s not a wig," Leo said, looking at the few hairs he’d pulled out, "but maybe it’s dyed."
"How about contacts?" Poison Ivy asked.
Leo moved toward her again, but Julia stopped him saying in a disguised voice, "Don’t get anywhere near my eyes! I’ll take them out myself." And she did just that, taking off her brown eye contacts and revealing her blue eyes.
"Thank-you for cooperating!" Leo said, "Now want to tell me if your hair is dyed and if you’re using something to make your skin look a different shade?"
She just stared blankly at that; she wasn’t going to cooperate any more than she had to.
As she stared Leo came closer, looking at her, no, staring at her. She shifted nervously.
"There’s something about those eyes that…" Leo started to say, and then stopped himself mid sentence. Then he looked over at Poison Ivy and said, "I‘m going to do a DNA test on her; you two watch her closely. And Green, keep your mouth shut, ‘cause I won‘t be around to stop her from poisoning you again." Leo walked out of the room.

Wed, Nov 15th, 2056
The day after they became minions, Julia, Gregory, William, and a few other minions had an assignment. They had to attempt to rob a small bank as a diversion. "With any luck the Heroes won’t realize that other members of the Legion are robbing another, much bigger bank," they were told.
So the Teal, Gray, Red, Purple, and Black Minions headed out to the back in the small town of Budridge in the Legion’s helicopter. Once over the bank, all five minions jumped onto the roof.
Purple Minion took a laser that they’d been given for the mission and cut a hole in the roof. They all jumped in. The few people in the bank froze after seeing the Minions. Black Minion pulled out a gun and told the woman at the counter to give him the cash box. The other Minions drew their guns and threatened to shoot anyone that moved.
Julia watched the events unfold and thought about how to stop this without making it look like she did it on purpose.
Just then, another person jumped in through the hole in the roof. It was Raven. All Minions turned and pointed their guns at her. But before they could shoot, Raven used to telekinetic powers to close up the barrels of the guns. Then other Heroes came in: Starfire, Robin, and Gadget Guy.
The other Minions ran to fight the Heroes, and Julia quickly thought about what she should do. She had to look like she was fighting, but tell Robin or one of the others that they were only a diversion. In order to do that she had to get one that would listen to her and know that she really was Julia when she told them. She picked Raven, who was closer and no one had run to attack yet.
She ran towards her, but was pushed back against the wall by Raven’s powers. Getting to her isn’t going to be as easy as I thought.
Julia flipped up over people’s heads and landed next to Raven. She quickly kicked her, but not at full force.
Raven stepped back away from the kick, and then advanced, "You know, if you’re going to be fighting us you should learn how to kick!" Raven kicked Julia in the shoulder, causing her to fly back a bit.
Julia again flipped over to Raven and gave her a harder kick, this time sending Raven back into a nearby wall. "I do know how to kick, Raven." Julia said in a harsh tone of voice, for the benefit of the other Minions who might see them.
Raven was taken aback, the voice sounded familiar. Julia felt Raven’s voice in her mind, Julia?
Julia nodded once, then thought (so that Raven would read it and know), "We’re just a diversion, there’s another, bigger bank being robbed right now. The one in Reddington, near here. You need to send people over there to stop them. There are about three villains there. Will and Gregory are here too, they‘re Gray Minion and Red Minion."
Raven apparently heard all of that and grabbed her radio, but before she called anyone she told Julia, "Look like you’re in pain from me scanning you to get the info."
Julia grabbed her head and cried out in mock pain. Raven talked into her radio, "Batgirl, get a few others, whoever’s closest to you right now, and get to the bank in Reddington, there’s a bank robbery going on there, hurry!"
The other Minions heard what she said and knew that they’d failed and that they should leave now. All of them ran to the door, or climbed out through the ceiling. Robin told Gadget Guy and Starfire to chase and catch them. But before they went out Raven told them to not catch the Teal, Red, and Gray Minions, let them get away.
Julia ran as fast as she could with the other Minions. She took a quickly look behind her and saw Starfire and Gadget Guy chasing them.
Black Minion yelled "Split up!" And that’s just what they did. Julia ran down an alley and came out on another street. No one was chasing her. "Whew. That was a great mission; for my real team, that is."
____________________
"So, what happened back there, Minions?" Lex Luthor asked Julia, William, and Gregory, who were the only Minions that had escaped being captured.
"Well, everything seemed to go as planned," Gregory started. "We got into the bank, showed them our guns, and told them to give us the cash box."
"Then Raven came into the room and closed up the barrels of our guns so that they wouldn’t work." William said, "Then three other Heroes came in."
"We fought them, and then everything went haywire." Julia said, "I was fighting Raven and then I felt this horrible pain in my head. Next thing I know she’s calling for other Heroes to go and stop the bank robbery at Reddington."
"So it’s your fault that the mission went flop."
"No! I couldn’t stop her! I tried to hide it! Honest I did!"
"It’s your fault just the same!" Luthor slapped her across the face. Gregory moved to stop him, but Julia gave him a quick look that told him not to.
"Get out of my sight!" Luthor told Julia and the others. They quickly obeyed.
Once out of the room, William looked over at Julia, "Are you all right?"
"Yeah, I’m fine. It doesn’t hurt nearly as bad as most other things that happen to me in this job."
"Good." Gregory said, "Well, we’d better get to our rooms. See you guys at dinnertime.
"Bye."
"Bye."

Hey guys! Guess who's back? To my few readers, I'm very, very sorry I haven't posted for a month or so. I really have no excuses other than I forgot. But now I'm back, hopefully to say! :-D

Chapter 9
New Minions
Tues, Nov 14th, 2056
When they woke up the next morning there were messages for them on the computers in their rooms. Julia’s read:
Teal Minion, you will be working under Poison Ivy. Come out into the hall and you will be transported to your new quarters.
So Julia walked out to the hallway where her friends were waiting for her. "Hi guys," she said, "who are you two assigned to?"
"I’m assigned to work under the Leopard," said William.
"And I’m assigned to work under Rabies," said Gregory.
"I’m assigned with Poison Ivy. Well, good luck guys. It was nice working with you and I hope we can see each other again soon," she said, playing out her part.
Then three holes came in the ground and they fell through.
When she landed, Julia found herself in a small room, bigger than the one she’d been in before but still pretty small. Other than being just a tad bit bigger than the other room, this room was the same as the other; it had a bed, a dresser, and a door that led to a very small bathroom with just a toilet, a sink, and barely enough room to walk.
"Like your room?"
Startled, Julia turned to see Poison Ivy standing in the doorway, "It’s fine, just fine."
"Good, I’d hate to have problems with my newest minion, especially after seeing your test results, pretty good."
"Oh, I’m sure that I won’t give you any problems." she said. I’d like to though…
"Good. Breakfast is served at 9 o’clock sharp; don’t get there at 9:05 or you won’t be having any. Same with lunch and dinner; lunch is at 12:30 and dinner at 6. Unless you are on an assignment, you will only have contact with other minions at meal times. No going into any office without permission, and if we catch you doing any of these things you’ll live to regret it. Other than that, you can do whatever. There’s a computer in your room with limited and monitored internet access." And with that, she left.
Julia sat down on the bed. Okay, what to do now? I’ll call the others later to see if our radios are jammed or not. I wish the computer wasn’t being watched. Oh wait, the left glove of my wolf-suit has a computer, I can use that!
She grabbed a small device from her pocket, a camera and bug detector. She casually reached behind herself and appeared to scratch her back, while instead she was setting it down on the bed. After about two minutes she reached back again, grabbed the camera detector and got under the bed covers. With the blanket blocking her from being seen, she looked at the results. There was only one thing in the room, in the computer and it wasn’t a camera.
"Cap Flow." she said quietly. Her Wolf-suit came on and she took of the glove. "Cap Flow," she said again and her Wolf-suit came off, leaving the glove with her. She slipped the glove back on and turned on her Wolf Computer.
After about an hour had gone by, she turned it off and hid the glove. Then she called her friends, "How’s it going?"
"Pretty good," William said through his radio, "I don’t think that they suspect anything."
"Same here," she heard Gregory say, "What should we do?"
"We need to meet somewhere, soon, say at the next mealtime?" she asked.
"Okay, we’ll meet you there." Gregory said.
"We can eat slowly and be the last ones there, then we can head to wherever." William said.
"We should contact Robin and White Wolf and ask her to hack in and find out where the computer central is." Julia said.
"All right, I’ll do that and call you guys with the info." Gregory said.
"All right, Teal Minion over and out."
"Gray Minion over and out." William said.
"And Red Minion over and out." Gregory said.
____________________
Julia walked by the counters that held the food in the kitchen; but food wasn’t really the right word, more like slop. Maybe not that bad, but that should give you a clue. Plus, after every foot of food there was a basket with cigarettes, booze, cigars, and who knows what else was in them. She just skipped on by those places.
With a plate only half-full of the stinky food, Julia looked around for her friends. She didn’t see them so she walked over to an empty table and sat down.
Cautiously, she brought the food up to her mouth. It wasn’t bad, but that was because it was bland, no taste at all.
"Hey you!" she heard a voice behind her.
Julia turned around to see a big minion in a green suit. Not fat, but muscular and massive. You wouldn’t want to line up in football across from him!
"Me?" Julia asked.
"Yeah, you!" he growled, "You one of the new minions?"
"What if I am?" Julia asked.
"Then I’m going to teach you who’s in charge!"
"Then I am new!" Julia said standing up, "Bring it on!"
Green Minion looked surprised at her reaction; but he quickly hid it with a determined snarl. Other minions started backing away, leaving Julia and "Mr. In Charge" alone.
He lunged at her and Julia jumped up on top of a table and leaped up swinging her leg out, kicking him square in the shoulder. Any normal person would have gotten knocked over by this attack, but it just made him fall back a few steps. He swung at Julia, who ducked from the blow and kicked again, aiming for his face. He stepped back, easily evading the kick. She moved closer to kick again, but he beat her to it. The force of his kick sent her far back into the crowd that had gathered to watch the show. As she got back up, she noticed some Legion members, Two Face and Harley Quinn to be exact, just watching the fight, not doing anything to stop it. They even seemed to be enjoying the show!
Fine, I’ll just have to win the battle myself! It shouldn’t be too difficult!
She ran out of the crowd and leaped up, flipping over her opponent. After she landed, Julia got down, flung her leg out, and swung, knocking his legs out from under him. Once he was on the ground, she jumped out at him; but he rolled over so she missed him.
They both got up. He just stood there for a second, but Julia didn’t want to let him have the first attack. She lunged at him and punched him in the face. Twice. He quickly recovered and sent out a punch of his own, hitting Julia in the shoulder. It hurt, but she wasn’t about to back down, and she kicked, hitting him in the stomach. He buckled over just long enough for Julia to swing at his head. With her TT training, she had learned right where to hit someone’s head to knock that person out, and that’s just where she hit him. He fell over on the ground, knocked out cold.
Julia slowly, casually walked back over to her table and sat down to finish her food. Slowly, the crowd went away, and her friends came out to join her.
"Pretty impressive, Teal," William said.
"Yeah, when we came and saw what was going on we were prepared to go and help you out, but you pretty much had everything under control." Gregory said.
"Thanks guys." Julia said. She looked around to see if anyone was close by. Seeing that no one was, she turned to her friends and whispered, "So, Red, did you get the info?"
"Yep," Gregory whispered, "it’s not all that far from our rooms, I can lead you guys there when it’s time."
"Good," William said, "but I think that we should wait a day or two before we do it."
"I don’t want to stay here any longer then I need to." Julia protested.
"It’s our first day, though. They’ll probably be watching us more closely." William fought back.
"I agree with Grey," Gregory said, "and that makes it two to one. We wait."
"All right," Julia said, "You guys won, I guess it makes sense to wait at least a day…"
"Two days." Gregory said.
"Three." William said.
"Fine, three, but no more." Julia said.
"All right."
They finished their lunches and got up to head back. Julia looked over at Green Minion. He was standing and glaring at her. She just smiled at him and looked away.
Who’s In-Charge now?
____________________
Green Minion only bothered her once more. At dinnertime, that same day, he had come at her, ready for a rematch; his hands were out in front of him so as to grab her. Julia turned to face him, waited for the last millisecond and ducked out of the way, pushing his hands away with her own. As he went past her she turned and pushed him hard. He tripped over her leg, which she had stretched out as she ducked, and her push sent him to the ground.
He glared at her from the floor, but she just ignored him. He didn’t bother her again.

Mon, Nov 13th, 2056
The next day the three friends were still tired, but hopefully ready for this next day of training. They met each other in the hallway and talked, waiting for any sign of the training that they would go through.
After an hour of waiting, the voice came, "I must say that I’m impressed by you three. You don’t have the best scores of the test, but still an impressive score for each of you."
The voice continued, "We are in need of minions with your skills, so we’ve cut out most of the training. But," the voice paused, "we’ve saved the best for you! Good luck, you’ll need it!" the voice laughed evilly.
They should have been used to it by now, but when the hole in the ground opened up under them they were taken by surprise, and they plunged down into the darkness.
When they hit the ground they were on a hill with an old, crumbling building without a roof on it. The three heroes went over to the familiar-looking building and went inside.
"Is it just me who’s getting the feeling of ‘déjà vu’?" William asked his friends.
"I don’t know about ‘déjà vu’, but this place looks strangely familiar…" Gregory said.
"I recognize it!" Julia exclaimed, "It’s from ‘Lord of the Rings’!"
"Don’t you mean ‘Lord of the Swords’, Vic?" William asked her.
"No, I mean ‘Lord of the Rings’."
(‘Lord of the Swords’ is about Middle Earth two centuries after the ‘Lord of the Rings’, and it was a newer series.)
"You mean that old trilogy?" William asked.
"Yeah, I mean, come on. This place is in both those movies and it makes more sense that they would use the newer one." Gregory protested.
Julia rolled her eyes, "Okay, first of all, it’s not really that old, and second, take a close look at the walls."
The guys moved forward to do so. "What’s here that we’re supposed to see, Vic?" Gregory asked.
"It’s more like ‘What’s not here?’" she said
"Oh, I know!" William exclaimed, "Look," he pointed to the walls, "in the "Return of the Nazgul" (movie #4 in the series ‘Lord of the Swords’), they fight the Nazgul here at Weathertop and to sharpen their swords and arrows they rubbed them against the walls, which would leave markings on the walls, but there aren‘t any."
"Exactly." Julia said.
"So this is from ‘Lord of the Rings’. Cool!" Gregory said.
But they had no more time to talk, for William had walked over to the edge of Weathertop and looked down. Now he was running back exclaiming, "The Nazgul are coming!"
Just then a rack with swords on it appeared in front of them. "It’s clear that for this test we need to fight the Nazgul." Gregory said, grabbing a sword from the rack.
The others did the same, and they turned back-to-back, protecting each other from attacks from behind.
They watched the openings in the walls closely, waiting for the enemy to appear. Then slowly, to Julia’s left, a black hood came into view, a Nazgul, menacingly making his way toward them with his fellow Nazgul following behind him.
The Nazgul circled the three young friends and raised their swords. They stood there for a few seconds, in their menacing poses, then, they attacked.
Swords held high, the three heroes counter-attacked their foes, strike for strike and blow for blow. It was a brutal battle, three-to-one in favor of the Nazgul. Plus, the Nazgul were a pretty good team. One went for Julia’s legs while another swiped its sword over her head, making her have to jump and duck at the same time (not an easy feat).
Soon the heroes were tired out. They had to think of what to do to get rid of them.
"Guys," William said, "cover me, I’m going for that torch!" he pointed to a flaming torch on the far wall of Weathertop.
So Gregory got in front of William to cover him in front while Julia got behind him, covering him from the back. They ran over to the wall with a torch on it, and William grabbed it. Gregory and Julia also grabbed some near-by torches and they all swung them at the Nazgul, scaring them away.
Once the Nazgul were gone, they suddenly found themselves in a dark cavern. At first it stayed dark, but then, all of a sudden, a light came from one of the tunnels, and the heroes heard a roar and huge footsteps.
"The Balroq!" Gregory yelled, "RUN!"
And that’s just what they did. Obviously the object of this test was to outrun the Balroq. They ran through the tunnels of Moria, another place from the Lord of the Rings.
After a few minutes of running through the strange tunnels, they finally found something that looked familiar: the stairs leading to the bridge of Khazad-dum. They ran down quickly and came to the break in the stairs, which they jumped across easily (thanks to their TT training).
Arrows started flying down towards them from orcs and goblins up on top of the rocky formations. One flew down and scratched Julia deep on the arm. It slowed her for a second, but, despite the pain, she kept running.
This Balroq was faster than the one in the movie, apparently, for it caught up with them before they got to the bridge. It cracked its whip in the air and flung it out at them, barely missing Gregory’s legs. They kept on running; the bridge was just in sight. They all quickly got on and ran across the narrow bridge.
The boys made it across first and once at the end they turned, beckoning Julia and motioning her to hurry. She ran as fast as she could, just yards away from her goal.
Suddenly, with only a yard to go, she felt something very hot on her leg. The Balroq’s whip had caught her leg! It wouldn’t let her move forward, and the Balroq was drawing steadily closer.
When it got to the bridge, the Balroq stepped on, but it was too heavy for the bridge and it broke, but not just in one spot, the whole bridge started to collapse!
Julia pulled and pulled to get away from the whip that was holding her back, and finally she decided that the only way to get it off was to reach down and unwrap it from her leg. Taking a deep breath, Julia reached down and touched the searing hot whip. She cried out in pain and untangled her leg.
"Quick!" the boys yelled, "Get off!"
She scrambled as the bridge came loose and started falling. She got to the edge (which had pulled away from where the boys were standing) and jumped. She was just short of the cliff and began to fall into the darkness, when she felt two sets of hands grab hers and pull.
William and Gregory pulled her up and out of the chasm and onto the cliff where they were standing.
"Are you alright?" Gregory asked.
"I think so, but I’m going to be limping for a while from the whip." she said, "Thanks guys, you two saved my life."
"You’re welcome." William said.
"That’s what friends do," said Gregory.
Just then an arrow flew past their heads. "Let’s go!" Julia said, and they got out of Moria.
When they came out they were in a forest with some rock formations all around it.
"Let’s climb up to the top and take a look at where we are." William suggested.
"All right." Gregory said.
Once at the top, they looked around. At first glance it looked like your normal forest, but then something came into view.
"ORCS!" Julia cried out.
"Shut up!" Gregory said, "They’ll hear you!"
"Too late, here they come!" William said.
They fought the orcs here and at other places so numerous that I can’t tell about all of them. They helped fight the battle at Helm’s Deep, fought on horseback against Wargs, fought the Witch King and Oliphants, faced Shelob in her lair, and finally went and helped fight the last battle in the Lord of the Rings series.
When they got back they pretty much collapsed on their beds. They had bruises and scratches (some deep, while others were not serious at all) and, in Julia’s case, burns. But they all made it back in one piece without any fatal injuries.
Before they could fall asleep, they heard the voice one last time, "Very good, new minions, you will all be assigned to a member of the Legion first thing tomorrow morning. Get a good night sleep, in your new job you never know when you’ll be able to get one."
And with that the voice went away. Exhausted, the young heroes fell asleep within thirty seconds of getting under the bed covers.

Chapter 8
Minion Training
The three teens walked to the place where the Legion had told them to go. It was in the middle of a forest, totally overgrown with weeds. Dark and gloomy, it was just the sort of place you’d expect the Legion to use.
“So, this is it.” Julia said to her friends, “no turning back from this point on.”
“Let’s go.” the guys said together.
They walked up to the hideout that looked totally deserted. “Maybe they forgot new trainees were coming…” Gregory thought aloud.
“They’d better not have!” Will said.
“We haven’t,” a voice said.
The ground under them shook, then it opened and they all fell into the hole. They landed in a hallway with three doors that was otherwise closed off.
They heard the voice again, “Each of you go into a room, and there you will get instructions.”
They did as they were told. Julia took the only room on the west side of the hallway while William and Gregory took the two on the east.
Inside of her room, Julia found a bed, a dresser, and a door that led to a very small bathroom with just a toilet, a sink, and barely enough room to walk.
“Over the next few days you will go through some tests.” the voice said, “They will test your fighting skills, your evasive skills, and your surviving skills.” that last one he said with what sounded like a smirk, “Don’t worry, only about a third of those who tryout die before completing the training.”
“Like that’s comforting,” she muttered under her breath.
“Walk over to the computer and fill out the form.” the voice commanded.
Instantly a computer and a desk popped out of the wall. Julia walked over and turned on the computer. A list of questions appeared on the screen. Julia typed out the answers for her alias, Victoria Beckett.
Name: Victoria Beckett.
Age: 24.
Crime records: Petty crimes such as stealing small items.
Occupation: Retired early from being a martial arts teacher, specialty: Tae-Kwon-Do.
Desired role in Legion of Doom: Minion.
“Stupid question, it’s not like I’m going to go from petty crimes straight to full Legion of Doom member,” Julia thought.
Desired color: Teal.
Done.
It was night so Julia went to sleep; she had a long day of training ahead of her.

Sun, Nov 12th, 2056
Julia awoke with a start. She was falling off the bed. She braced herself for her collision with the cement floor, but none came.
She turned herself so that she faced up; she had fallen through a hole in the ground. She quickly turned over and put her arms out in front of her, elbows slightly bent. She had acted just in time, for not two seconds after she did she hit the ground.
For a moment everything was dark, then a bright light shown, blinding her for a few seconds. When she could see again, she found herself in a large room that looked very much like the Titans’ simulator. William and Gregory were standing a few feet away from her.
She began to walk toward them, when the voice came. “Commencing training.”
Instantly, the setting changed inside the room. They were standing in a large field. Everything was peaceful and beautiful. The only thing that was there that seemed out of place was a stand with three swords on it. Julia walked towards it, curiously. She reached out and took hold of one of the swords; William and Gregory did the same.
Then they heard a loud noise coming from behind. They all turned to see a large group of people with swords in their hands heading towards them.
“How many do you think there are?” Julia asked.
“One, two, three, four, five, no wait I already counted you, ugh! They’re moving too fast to count!” William said.
“Um, Lionel, I don’t think that this is the best time to joke.” Gregory said.
Julia quickly ran through what Robin had said in the briefing, Don’t look too good and give away your positions, but don’t be so bad that you either die or make them not want you three as minions. “Right.” she said to herself, brandishing her weapon.
They all ran out to meet the attack. Clashing sword against sword, they fought the simulated people. Julia had to keep reminding herself that these were not real people, so she didn’t have to worry about killing them.
Her friends and her all stood in a circle facing outward, protecting each other from attacks from behind. She fought two or more at a time and once while blocking a strike, another person nicked her in the leg. The pain wasn’t bad, but it made her remember that the Legion’s training was dangerous and if she wasn’t careful she could get badly injured. Or killed.
After an hour of hard fighting, the young heroes in disguise had destroyed the opposition, and they had done it without getting hurt too badly, just a few nicks and scratches.
Not thirty seconds after defeating the oncoming horde, the scene changed to a tunnel. They saw a light up ahead, which illuminated the tunnel a little.
“Whoa!” William said.
“What is it?” Gregory asked.
“Look behind us!”
Julia and Gregory turned to look and saw that the wall behind them was covered in sharp spikes. And it had started moving towards them.
“RUN!” Gregory yelled. And that’s just what they did.
At first, running down the tunnel was a piece of cake, until a shot of flames burst out from the side of the tunnel. The three friends stopped as fast as they could, then, when the flames disappeared, they ran again, this time cautious of any traps.
There were hurtles, holes in the ground, more flame bursts, and swords slashing back and forth, and all were trying to get the young Heroes.
Finally, Julia and the others saw the end of the tunnel. All three of them ran forward eagerly; so eagerly that they didn’t see the huge gap in the ground before them. Luckily the inside of the hole was lighted, but what they saw as they were falling scared them.
The bottom of the hole was covered in spikes, and the sides of the hole also had loads of spikes sticking out, ready to take the lives of any who fell in. A few of the spikes were stained red, and Julia thought that she might have seen a skeleton at the bottom of the pit. But she didn’t have time to look and see if it really was one, for she and the others were going to hit the bottom of the pit in a few seconds!
Julia reached out her hand carefully, so as to not get it cut off, and took hold of one of the side spikes. The others did the same. Then, very carefully, they started to climb up and out of the hole.
When they finally got to the top they saw that the spiked wall that had been behind them had blocked the exit. They turned to the other side and saw another light.
“Back the way we came.” Julia said to her friends, wearily.
“Yep.” the guys said together, and they went back through the obstacle course, this time more slowly and carefully, for this time nothing was behind them threatening their lives.
At the end they were wearier than ever, and the simulation was over. In front of them was a dark tunnel that looked like a tube slide.
They heard the voice again; “You’ll get your test summery later. Take the slide back to your rooms.”
They all carefully stepped into the slide, thinking that it was a test trap. But at the bottom there was no trap, they were back in the hall with the three doors. They each headed into their room, thankful for a rest, and each fell asleep wondering how a slide got them back to their rooms when the way that they got to the simulator in the first place was falling downwards.

“The Legion is looking for a newly discovered element called Neutrium,” Robin said. “It’s a very highly deadly substance that, when injected into the body, will begin to neutralize all internal organs, killing the victim within about thirty minutes after injection.” He paused as the others let it sink in, then continued, “The information that White Wolf found in their computer file said that they were getting very close to it, but they haven’t actually found it yet.
“I probably don’t have to tell you how bad it would be for the Legion to find it and be able to use it,” he continued. “So White Wolf and I have come up with a plan. Three Titans will get into the Legion’s Minion Training program and become Minions. Then, when the time is right, they’ll sneak into the Legion’s computer room and get the information on where the Neutrium is.”
“But Robin,” Batgirl spoke up, “Why can’t White Wolf just hack into their system again and find it?”
“Because it would take more than the three minutes I’ll have,” White Wolf answered, “Ten minutes, at least.”
“The three Titans that will be going on this mission are Wolf Woman, Grey Wolf, and Atomic Teen,” Robin said, “I’ll brief them fully on the mission once this meeting is over. Any questions?”
“Why is White Wolf not going? If you are going to be doing the hacking into the Legion’s computer, will not you need an expert in the computers there?” Starfire asked with her typical bad grammar.
“She’s not going because we need her here in case the Legion tries to hack into our computer again,” Robin answered. “She’ll also be helping out with communications with our mission team.”
“I will be downloading a file into each of the mission team members’ mini-computers.” White Wolf put in, “That should help them with finding the info considerably.”
After a pause Robin spoke up again, “All right, if there are no further questions this council meeting is over.”
Everyone got up and left except for the Wolf Pack, Robin, and Atomic Teen. “As I said earlier, you three will apply as minions and go through the Legion’s minion training program. White Wolf has already hacked into their computer to find the Legion‘s radio frequency, which you will use to get into the training program. Atomic Teen, your alias is George Key, who is a computer hacker, and that’s how you found the frequency.”
“But won’t that tip them off?” Wolf Woman asked.
“I don’t think so,” Robin replied. “One of the things that they look for in Minions is computer hacking skills. I think that your using this to find out how to contact them will impress the Legion.
“Now, AT, George Key is also a runaway who has gotten into trouble with the law many times over, with your biggest crime being hacking into top secret FBI files. Wolf Woman, your alias is Victoria Beckett. You used to be a martial arts teacher and then switched to petty crime. Grey Wolf, you’re Lionel Smith; you’re also highly trained in martial arts and you have no crime record.
“I’ll give you all the files on your aliases so that you can make the necessary changes to your looks, as well as memorize your life stories. Then tomorrow you’ll head off.”
White Wolf spoke up, “Grey Wolf, Wolf Woman, I’ll need your left gloves so that I can program the hacking file into them. AT, I’ll also need your mini-computer.”
As they did this Robin spoke up again, “Just some last basic guidelines for your mission: The Legion’s training is very dangerous. It isn’t uncommon for people to get killed during it. So be very alert and cautious. Don’t look too good and give away your positions, but don’t be so bad that you either die or make them not want you three as minions. Then after you complete the training they will assign you all to a member of the Legion of Doom. This will give you opportunities to check their computers for any info that might help us. Once you find anything you will inform the others and get out of there. Then, and only then, will you report what you have found out to us.”
“All right!”
“Great!”
“Let’s get to it!”
____________________
“How long will you be gone this time?”
“I don’t know, Dad. It will probably be over in about a week, unless we get really lucky and find the info right away.”
“Julia, I understand that you’re a Superhero now, but you’re letting it get in the way of your education. Your Mother and I have been praying about all of this, and we’re convinced that He wants you to be Wolf Woman; but what about the other things in your life? You’ve had to give up volleyball because of your unpredictable schedule; you’re missing weeks of school, and church and Youth Group. What about your life as Julia?”
“I know, Dad. And I’ve been thinking a lot about this too,” she said. “I miss playing volleyball, and going to Youth Group, and doing all of the stuff that I used to do so much of. But if this is what God wants me to do then I will make those sacrifices. Besides, I don’t really need to go to school anymore, do I Dad? I’ve just started my junior year in High School, but I’ve learned barely anything new since you home schooled me. I was always far ahead, why don’t I just stop school and not have to worry about it anymore?”
“That’s what I’m talking about, Julia. Your social life is dying. I think that you need to talk with Robin, or whoever is in charge, about this. I’m not saying to stop; I’m just saying to slow down. Okay?”
“It’s not that simple, Dad.” Julia said. Then she sighed, “But I’ll try. I do have to admit that I don’t really have any friends except for those in the Teen Titans with me. I’ll talk with Robin; but after this mission.”
“Agreed. Now, what am I going to tell Cassie about your leaving?”
“Nothing, I’m telling her that I’m going to an old friend’s house and staying there for a while, and that once I get back I’m taking her somewhere as a surprise.”
“And the school Principle?”
“That’s your job, I can’t think of everything!”

Julia stared at her face in the mirror. There’s no way I’ll be recognized, even if Leo were standing right next to me! She’d dyed her hair a light shade of brown, put on brown contacts, and applied her make-up in a way that made her look older than she really was. Then again, he somehow knew who I was when he first fought me. Guess I’d better just pray that I’m able to avoid him!
She stepped out of the women’s bathroom and saw William and Gregory (Atomic Teen). They too looked much different than they normally did. William had dyed his normally dark blond hair black and slicked it back with gel. He also wore brown contacts. Gregory dyed his normally dark brown hair a dirty blond color and wore blue contacts.
Robin and Raven walked up to the three of them. “Very good, guys. You all definitely look different!” he said.
“Now I’m going to put up a small telepathic block around your minds.” Raven said, “It should protect you from any passing scans from one of the Legion’s telepaths and keep them from finding out your true identities. Anything bigger and they would spot it, but they shouldn’t be able to see this block unless they do a deep scan.”
“Will this involve scanning us yourself?” Gregory asked.
“No, I won’t see anything.”
He nodded and Raven closed her eyes. After about thirty seconds had passed, she opened her eyes, “Done.”
“Thanks, Raven,” Julia said.
“Well, it’s about 1 o’clock.” Robin said, “You’d better leave now if you’re going to get there by 2. Good luck.”
“We don’t need luck,” Gregory reminded him.
Robin smiled, “Right. God be with you guys!”
“We’ll all be praying for you!” Raven said as Julia came up and hugged her.
“Right, let’s go!” William said. And so they headed off.

Chapter 7
The Threat
Fri, Oct 27th, 2056
Julia awoke with a start, “Whoa!” She threw the cold, wet washcloth off her face.
“Happy Birthday, seventeen-year-old!” Cassie said cheerfully.
Julia shook her head to try and rid herself of the cold feeling, “I’ll never get used to that…”
“Well, I’ll leave you to your getting ready for school. But don’t you dare try to go back to sleep!”
“I’ll try not to.”
Cassandra left the room and Julia shook her head once again, “Oh well, Julia. I guess you really should blame yourself for that wake-up call. After all, you started it on Cassie’s last birthday.”

White Wolf sat at her computer, working on her last mission’s file. She was just about done writing it when an alarm went off. White Wolf knew just what that alarm meant, and quickly went to work. Someone was trying to hack into the Teen Titans’ main computer.
She quickly set up super-strength firewalls around the computer’s information; firewalls so strong that the Titans weren’t able to keep them up all of the time because they made it impossible to do anything on the computer since it was sapping all of the computer’s energy into itself. If the firewalls were kept up long enough, the power at TTHQ would all go out, every last bit of energy being sucked into the massive firewalls.
As the firewalls were being loaded up, White Wolf quickly saved her mission file and checked to see who was attempting to hack into their computer. The IP address was blocked by it’s own firewall. But White Wolf was an expert hacker. The only firewall she’d ever failed to get past was the Titans’ own firewall, which she and the other Titan techies had designed themselves. Needless to say, she quickly got through the firewall.
She recognized the IP address instantly. It was the Legion of Doom’s IP.
Not two seconds after finding the IP address, her computer shut off. Now it’s all up to the firewall, she thought. I’d better go inform Robin about what just happened. And the Justice League, in case the Legion tries to get into their computer as well!
She ran out of her room and went off to find Robin. There were only two places that he hung out at the most: his room and the gym. The gym was closer, so she went there first.
She found him sparring with Cyborg. She quickly stopped them and informed Robin of the situation. He, in turn, called Superman on his radio and told him about the hacking.
After this, the power came back on. “They’ve stopped trying to hack their way in,” White Wolf said. “Let’s get over to the main computer room and try and find what they were looking for.” So Robin and Cyborg went with her to the computer room.
“Ok, guys, once I get into the Legion’s computer I’ll have exactly three minutes before they find me and stop me.”
Cyborg nodded and pulled up the stop-watch on the computer on his arm, “Tell me when, White Wolf.”
White Wolf typed in something on the computer, “Now.”
Cyborg started the clock.
White Wolf typed furiously, searching for any clues as to why the Legion would be hacking into their computer.
“Two minutes left, White Wolf,” Cyborg informed her.
White Wolf found the plans for past missions that the Titans and the Justice League had foiled. Getting closer.
“One minute.”
Drat! This doesn’t say anything about them searching for something in our computer files! Wait a minute! What’s this?
“Thirty seconds.”
Neutrium? They’re looking for something called Neutrium?
“Ten seconds.”
White Wolf quickly got out of the Legion’s computer.
“Well, White Wolf?” Robin asked. “Did you find anything?”
“Yes and no. I didn’t find what they were looking for in our computer, but I did find something else that they’re looking for. Have you guys ever heard of something called Neutrium?”
Cyborg shook his head no. Robin raised his eyebrow, “It sounds familiar, but I don’t know from where.”
“Let’s use the old-fashioned way of finding out about something,” Cyborg said, “Google it.”
____________________
Robin and White Wolf stood at the head of the council room. Robin had called together this emergency meeting because he, Cyborg, and White Wolf found out something that the Legion was planning, but other than that Wolf Woman and the others didn’t know a thing. But the looks on Robin, Cyborg, and White Wolf’s faces told them that the news was bad.
Once all of the council members came, Robin called Atomic Teen in as well. “He needs to hear this as well as you guys for reasons that will soon become clear,” Robin explained, “I’ll be telling the others about this, but the council and AT need to hear it first.”
“Earlier today,” White Wolf began, “The Legion attempted to hack into our database. I put up the firewall in time, but we wanted to know why they wanted into our database. So Robin, Cyborg, and I hacked into their computer to find the information. We only had three minutes, and that wasn’t enough time to find it. But we did find something that the Legion is planning.”
“They’re looking for a newly discovered element called Neutrium,” Robin stepped in. “It’s a very highly deadly substance that, when injected into the body, will begin to neutralize all internal organs, killing the victim within about thirty minutes after injection.”

Author's Note: This part of the chapter digs a bit deeper into Raven's past. As I've said before, I've changed quite a bit of her story because I don't think that I should have a character in my stories who is part demon (Raven's father in the comics, as well at the TV show, is Trigon the Terrible, a demon). So when the chapter says something about her father, don't picture a demon. Rather, picture a man with black hair, Raven's color of skin, black clothes, and a blue cloak like Raven's.

The day came when some of the trainees would be recognized as full-fledged Teen Titans; one day after the tragedy of El Coyote. All of the Titans had been told what had happened, but the Trainees had not, all that they knew was that he was dead.
Wolf Woman had been asked by Robin to tell the others the story of what happened at the graduation ceremony and she had agreed to it. When the time came for her to talk, Wolf Woman got up onto the stage, “I’m sure that all of you have heard about how El Coyote is no longer with us, but a lot of you have been asking about why he isn’t.” And so she told them the whole story about how he had tricked her into the trap and how Leo had tried to kill him. Then how he renounced his loyalty to the Legion and had helped Robin and herself to fight Leo and the others. And then finally how he died and how before he did he had given his life to Jesus Christ.
“And I tell you all, it didn’t matter that he had been a traitor, he was truly forgiven yesterday. The Bible says that ‘If a wicked man turns away from his wickedness and does what is just and right, he will live by doing so.’ El Coyote truly turned from the sins he had committed and did what was right.
“You may be wondering why I am telling you this; let me explain. Who here has done something bad in their lives? I know I have. I’ve lied, I’ve thought bad thoughts about someone, I’ve gossiped. The Bible says that if someone ‘keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles at just one point, he is guilty of breaking all of it.’ I’ve never murdered anyone, but one of my little white lies that I’ve told has made me just as guilty as a murderer in God’s eyes! But, as I’ve told you all many times before, Jesus came and died in my place, so now I can be forgiven of my sins. And so can you. If you’d like to know more about this, please come and talk to me or one of the Wolf Pack or Robin afterwards, we would love to tell you more. And now, I believe Robin has an announcement to make.” She walked off the stage.
“Thank-you, Wolf Woman,” Robin said. “And now here are the trainees who have been chosen to become Titans; they are, Superstar, Gadget Guy, Dark Warrior, and Ivy!”

Mon, Oct 9th, 2056
A young Raven ran into her room and hid under her bed, her arms throbbing with pain. As she sobbed things in her room flew off the shelves; she was only seven and she‘d just gained her telekinetic powers. Most others from her world didn’t gain telekinesis until their twenties. She’d have to clean it all up later before her mom saw the mess; if her mom saw she’d be beaten again.
It wasn’t even her fault that things went flying, her powers were hard to control and they did things when she had strong emotions like she did now. But she didn’t really care about that right now. All she wanted was to get away.
“God,” she whispered, “If You’re there, show me! If You exist, make it stop!” Her dresser fell over as if to emphasize her call.
But no, she thought, He’s not there, just like always. If He were real, if He cared, He’d make it stop! But He never does!
Then she heard her door open. “Dad?”
“Raven, get out from under the bed. What is this mess?”
She crawled out and faced her father, tears still rolling down her cheeks. “I’m sorry, Father. I tried to keep it from happening, but I couldn’t control it.”
He looked at the bruises on her arms, “Did it happen again?”
Raven nodded.
“I’m sorry, Raven. We just need to wait. She’ll stop eventually.”
“Daddy, can’t you stop her? Can’t you send her away?”
“Sweetheart, I can’t do that. I love her too much.”
“But don’t you care that she’s hurting me?”
“Raven, we’ve had this conversation too many times before. Clean up this mess before your mom sees it.” And with that he left.
Raven sobbed again, “Stop it, Raven!” she told herself, “Emotion only makes it worse!”
Raven sat up in bed, tears rolling down her cheeks as they‘d been in her dream. Only now she could keep her powers under control, so that things didn’t fly across the room whenever she sobbed.
Memory dreams. I haven’t had that one in a long time. “God, where were You when all of this was happening? I know that You see everything, why didn’t You stop it? Didn’t You care? Where were You?”
She stared into the darkness of the room. “So much has changed since then,” she whispered. “I met and followed Satan, gained control of my powers, came to Earth, joined the Titans, turned away from Satan, came to God, and made some real friends. I’ve come so far from that scared little girl. So why do I still have dreams about it?”
Raven laid back down and closed her eyes. Soon sleep came to her and she heard a voice. “I was right there with you. I cried with you. Though you didn’t know, I held you in My arms. I care about you so much, Raven.”
“Then why did You let that happen?”
“Raven, you don’t see the big picture. I do. I didn’t want you to have to go through that, but the world is evil. This world, your world, all worlds. And while it hurt, it made you stronger. It helped to shape you into who I have planned for you to be. Do you trust Me, Raven?”
“Yes, Jesus, I trust You.”
“Then know that I was with you, just as I am now. And know that My ways are perfect. Trust me with your past, as well as your future.”

Chapter 6
The Fight
The minions ran at Wolf Woman. She got ready to defend herself, even if she was totally outnumbered she wouldn’t go down without a fight.
The minions were almost on her when they heard someone yell, “LEO!”
They looked up and saw Robin, swinging down on a Bat Cable towards Leo. Leo moved out of the way just in time, but some of the minions didn’t and were knocked down by the Boy Wonder.
“Nice timing.” Wolf Woman said to her friend.
“Thanks, but I wish that I’d brought reinforcements.”
The minions were all up and closing in on the young heroes.
“Yeah, well, I’m sure you’ll do better next time,” she said jokingly.
The minions jumped at them, but Robin and Wolf Woman were already swinging out of the way on Wolf and Bat Ropes.
When they touched down the minions circled them and waited for the signal to attack, but none came. Leo was looking at El Coyote.
“So, you brought someone else to help capture us, you traitor!”
“No, I didn’t!”
“You thought that there wouldn’t be this many here, so you brought Robin along.”
“No, I honestly didn’t know that Robin was there!” El Coyote insisted.
“I knew that after a year with their kind, you’d change and go to their side.”
“But I didn’t.”
“Yes you did, and there’s only one way to deal with traitors.” Leo said, with an evil gleam in his eye, “Minions, attack and kill him.”
The minions ran at El Coyote and attacked him. “Come on!” Wolf Woman yelled to Robin.
The two Heroes ran to help El Coyote. The minions were already there and they’d cornered him and were attacking from all sides. Robin got down and interlocked his fingers. Wolf Woman then stepped on his hands and he flung her into the midst of the minions. Then he ran over and attacked from the back.
Wolf Woman, after knocking over a few minions with her landing, got in front of El Coyote and warded off the attack.
“Why are you helping me? I betrayed you!”
“I’m a Hero, it’s my job to protect people like you! Besides,” she said, punching a minion in the face, “You were my friend.”
Upon hearing that, El Coyote realized his mistake. Sure, the Legion had offered him a job, but now they were trying to kill him! The Titans, though, had not only trained him, but they cared about him, even though he’d betrayed them by giving out information and helping the Legion to try and kill them. The people he tried to help wanted to kill him, but those he’d tried to kill wanted to help him. These are the kind of people I want to be with. With that thought, El Coyote got out from behind Wolf Woman and started fighting the minions as well.
With the three of them, soon all of the minions were down and out. Then they turned to face Leo.
“Well, it seems that you’ve ‘KO’d’ my minions, very good. Now let’s see how you do with real Legion members!”
Three ropes came down from the rooftops around the alley and the Leopard, Rabies, and the Poacher all slid down them.
“Coyote; get over here where you belong,” Leo called to him.
“No! You tried to kill me!”
“It was a test to see if you could hold them off. We needed to see how you’d handle yourself in battle. You did very well! Now prove yourself again against our enemies!”
“No! I belong here!”
Leo growled, “Then so be it.” With that, Leo and the other villains rushed at and surrounded the Heroes.
“Stay close together,” ordered Robin, “Keep your backs to each other.”
So the three of them formed a triangle facing outward. Leopard got in front of Wolf Woman and drew her claws. She slashed at Wolf Woman, who ducked and swung her leg out to trip her. But Leopard was quick and jumped just in time.
Wolf Woman kicked her in the shoulder, narrowly avoiding Leopard’s claws. She fell back a few steps and Leo jumped at Wolf Woman from the left. He knocked her over and punched her in the face, but she pulled her legs up and kicked him off. She quickly stood up, but Leo’s attack had broken the triangle.
She sensed someone behind her and flipped back over them just in time to avoid Leopard’s razor-sharp claws. When she landed, she kicked her in the back, which sent Leopard sprawling to the ground.
El Coyote ran over to help her and attacked Leo as Wolf Woman pounced on the fallen Leopard. She quickly pulled out some handcuffs and placed them on Leopard, getting scratched on the arm in the process.
She was about to go help Robin, who was fighting both Rabies and the Poacher, when she heard a gunshot. She turned to see El Coyote on the ground, shot in the back by the Poacher.
She ran over to him and pulled him away from the fighting; he was still alive. Then she ran back to help Robin.
Rabies was out cold on the ground, so all that were left were the Poacher and Leo. Wolf Woman went after the Poacher. He was reaching for his gun, which Robin had kicked out of his hand; but Wolf Woman tackled him before he could grab it.
He kicked her off of him, but she’d been expecting that and turned her flying back into a back handspring. During the handspring, when her hands touched the ground, she grabbed the gun, which was right under her. She lost her balance a little, but quickly recovered.
She fired into the air, causing everyone to turn and look at her. “Get out of here,” she said to Leo and the Poacher, “Or I’ll shoot you.”
Leo laughed, “No you won’t!”
“Wanna bet?” She cocked the gun. When Leo sneered and stayed put, she shot him in the arm. With that, the two villains ran off.
Robin quickly cuffed the unconscious Rabies, while Wolf Woman ran to El Coyote. He was breathing in short, quick gasps and looked scared.
“Don’t worry, we’ll get you to a hospital,” she said reassuringly.
“No,” he said weakly, “I think that it’s too late for that.” He coughed up some blood and Wolf Woman fought back tears. “I’m sorry that I… betrayed you. Why…why did you do that? Why did you…protect me? How could you have…done that?”
“You mean forgive you?” After he nodded she continued, “Because I’ve been forgiven. Do you remember some of the lessons I taught the trainees? The ones where I talked about Jesus?” He nodded again. “Like I said in those lessons, I’ve done wrong things against God, so many wrong things. But He still forgave me. That’s why I can forgive you, because I know One who forgave me of so much more. He can forgive you too.”
“I don’t think that He’ll take me.”
“Yes, He will. He loves you, so much that He died for you. All you have to do is ask Him, and He will forgive you.” she paused, “Do you want to?”
“Yes, I do.”
She smiled, “Then pray this in your heart: God, I’m sorry for all of the bad things that I have done. I believe that Jesus died for me so that I could be forgiven. I accept Your gift of forgiveness. Please come and live in my heart. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
El Coyote opened his eyes and looked up and her and Robin, “Thank-you for…everything. I guess I’ll…see you…soon.”
Robin grabbed his hand, “Yes, you will.”
Wolf Woman smiled at him and a tear fell down her cheek.
And El Coyote breathed his last breath on Earth.
Tears flowed freely down Wolf Woman’s cheeks and even Robin shed a couple. He put his arm around her shoulders and they cried for their friend, sad that he had died, but thankful that they would see him again.

“Where have you been the past hour?” Cassandra asked Julia, “You said that you were going to play basketball with my friends and me.”
“I’m sorry Cassie.” Julia said, “Something came up, I tried to get done as fast as I could but I wasn’t fast enough. I know that you’re mad at me, and I’m sorry. I will do better next time.”
“Yeah, right. That’s what you say every time. I’m sure that you mean well, but you always have to rush off somewhere to do something-or-other for your friends. But what about your sister?”
“I know, Cassie. And believe me; I hate it when these things happen. And I know that they’ve been happening a lot lately. Please, give me another chance?”
“I’ve been doing that for weeks now. Jesus said to forgive your neighbor seventy times seven times, so I still forgive you. But…I don’t know. What have you been doing lately that keeps you away?”
“I’ve told you, my friends have needed help with stuff every once in a while and so I help them.”
“You just don’t know how to say no, do you?”
Julia sighed, “You’re right, Cassie. It’s something that I need to get better at, saying no to things. And I promise to try; not that my promises mean anything to you anymore.”
“Well, you can try to make up for it. I look forward to seeing that.”
“GIRLS!” Their Mom called, “Dinner!”
“Coming!” they said together and they both went downstairs to the kitchen.
“How about I start a little bit after dinner. We can go get coffee and hang out, ok?” Julia said.
“All right.”

“What do you want me to do?”
“Have you met some of the Titans?” Leo asked over the radio.
“Yes.”
“Good, now, are there any that trust you?”
“Yes, quite a few, actually.”
“Good. Now, I want you to bring one of them to our regular meeting place. Then we’ll be able to kill him or her, and soon others will come looking for that lost Titan. Since they’ve learned to trust you, you can lead them here without any suspicion. We’ll have killed a lot of Teen Titans before they figure out what‘s going on!”
“I can’t wait!”
“Oh, and have you found out anything about the C.F.M.C?”
“No, I’ve tried, but it’s blocked in the computer that I’ve hacked into and I haven’t heard anyone say anything about it.”
“Oh well. Killing off a bunch of the Teen Titans will make up for that, I suppose.”

Julia walked through one of her favorite stores. She’d been walking around the town of Woodsville for about an hour, going into stores and running errands. Now she was just going there for fun after working.
As she walked through the women’s clothes department, she saw one of her friends walking toward her. It was Dick Grayson. He looked a little embarrassed, from being in that department, and a little worried, but about what she didn’t know.
“Hi Dick.” she said.
“Hi,” he said, “um, listen, Jules, you’re being followed.”
“WHAT?”
“Shhhh…”
“Sorry, what?”
“I, as Robin, was out making my rounds,” he whispered, “there was a guy acting very suspiciously. I started to follow him, and after a while I noticed that he was following someone: you.”
“What do you want me to do?” she whispered back.
“Act like you don’t know that you’re being followed, I’ll stay behind him and watch, and if anything happens then I’ll get whoever it is.”
“All right, do you want me to leave the store now?”
“If you can, then I’d like you to.”
“Yes, I can, I’m just here for fun.”
“All right, come out five minutes after I leave the store.”
“Okay.”
Dick left and, after five minutes, she left too.
She acted casual, not even looking behind her to see if there was someone following her.
She felt someone behind her, but she kept walking. Then someone walked by her and turned around.
“Julia Wolfe?” he asked.
“Yes,” she answered cautiously.
“Come with me.” he said.
“Why?”
“Just do it.”
Remembering that Robin was watching everything, she said, “All right.”
He led her into an alley, and then said, “Wolf Woman, I have some info on the spy.”
“What are you talking about? I’m Julia Wolfe, not a Superhero.”
“Oh, sorry, maybe this will help.” He mumbled a couple of words, and then he suddenly was dressed in El Coyote’s costume, “Now, will you listen?”
“How do you know that I’m Wolf Woman?”
“I know a lot, okay? Now come with me, we need a safer place to talk. Oh, and change to your Wolf Woman costume.”
“All right…Cap Flow.” Instantly her Wolf Woman costume was on her.
“Good, let’s go.”
He led Wolf Woman farther down the alley and turned left into a smaller alley with a dead end. I’m getting a bad feeling about this, she thought.
El Coyote turned to her and said, “I think that I know who the spy is.”
“Based on what?” she asked.
“Based on something I overheard being said over a radio. Someone was talking to a member of the Legion of Doom.”
“Who was it?”
He looked both ways, as if he thought that someone was listening then turned back to Wolf Woman and said, “ME!”
All of a sudden, people came out of the shadows and surrounded Wolf Woman. There were eight minions and Leo the Lion.
“So,” Leo said, “She’s the one that you said would trust you, huh?” he turned to Wolf Woman, “Well, you just have a problem with knowing who to trust, don’t you? First with me, and now El Coyote, and now it’ll be your undoing.”

Chapter 5
The Traitor
Thurs, Oct 5th, 2056
Julia Wolfe walked with her friends, Barbara Gordon and Janelle Johnson. They were on their way back to their homes from school.
“So, anything exciting about to happen for either of you?” Barbara asked.
“No, not really.”
“Me neither,” Julia answered, “Being a Titan takes up most of my time.”
“Really?” Barbara asked. “That’s sad. You need to organize your time, that’s what I do, and talk to Dick, I’m sure if you tell him about how your Hero life is taking over your personal life he’ll help you work it out. He needs us to point out the problems so that he can try to help you fix them.”
“I know, but the thing is I don’t really miss much of what I used to do. I mean, I miss hanging out with my sister more like I used to, but I’m ok with volleyball being gone. I enjoyed it, but I also enjoy helping people as Wolf Woman.”
“Well, it’s good that you like doing that, but like I said, you need to make time for your family and other things that are important to you! If you don’t then you might miss the small important things that happen, like-”
Just then Julia’s radio beeped. “See what I mean?” She looked around to make sure no one else was looking, and then answered the radio, “Yes?”
“Wolf Woman,” Robin said, “get the rest of the Wolf Pack and get to 43rd street in Gotham City, there’s a bank robbery going on down there and there are three masked men there. El Coyote and Ivy will meet you there.”
“All right.” she replied, and then she turned to the others, “Sorry, Barbara, Janelle and I have to go.”
“I understand,” answered Barbara. “But Jules?”
“Yeah?”
“Talk with Robin sometime about this, ok?”
“All right, thanks Barbara! Bye!” Then she turned to Janelle, “Let’s go!” As they ran down the street, Julia called the third Wolf, “William?”
“Yes?”
“This is Julia, its mission time. Meet us at the bank at 43rd street in Gotham City. There’s a bank robbery going on down there. Ivy and El Coyote will meet us there.”
“Right, see you there.” he said.
____________________
When everyone got to the bank, they made a plan. Grey Wolf and El Coyote would go in there and chase the bank robbers out to where the girls would be waiting.
Grey Wolf ran in first, followed closely by El Coyote, who he favored.
The girls waited there for about five minutes, and the guys never came out. Then Wolf Woman heard Grey Wolf yell, but she couldn’t tell if it was an excited yell or an in-trouble yell.
Worried, Wolf Woman turned to the others and said, “Wait here, if I’m not out in two minutes then call for back-up and come in.”
“Right.”
“Okay.”
Wolf Woman ran toward the doors of the bank, when suddenly two men in masks ran out, followed closely by Grey Wolf and El Coyote.
White Wolf and Ivy ran out to attack, but the robbers weren’t within striking range.
Wolf Woman called everyone on their radios while giving chase, “El Coyote, White Wolf, and Ivy, stay with them, Grey Wolf and I will take the short-cut and cut them off.”
So Grey Wolf ran toward Wolf Woman, changed to a wolf, and they ran off in a different direction, while the others stayed in pursuit.
White Wolf and the others kept behind the robbers. Ivy, with her plant powers, sent vines from the nearby trees out in front of the robbers to try to slow them down or trip them. White Wolf grabbed two Wolf Ropes, gave one to El Coyote, and the two of them swung from buildings to gain ground on the robbers.
Meanwhile, Wolf Woman and Grey Wolf hopped fences and cut through alleys, trying to get ahead of the robbers.
Grey Wolf easily got ahead of them and ran out of the alley, with Wolf Woman close behind. Grey Wolf snarled at the robbers, who stopped dead in their tracks. Wolf Woman and the others all surrounded the robbers, who quickly surrendered.
____________________
After taking the robbers to jail, the Wolf Pack brought their good report on Ivy and El Coyote to Robin. Then they walked around TTHQ for a while.
“Hey, Grey Wolf,” White Wolf said, “What took you two so long inside the bank?”
“I think that they were expecting us, because when we ran in, they had their guns out and they told us to get up against the wall. It was El Coyote that got the jump on them; I kind of backed off to let him try to handle the situation, which was…kind of hard. Anyway, he quickly flipped away from the wall and landed on the one that was supposed to watch us and knocked him out.”
“Oh, so that’s why only two robbers ran out of the building.” White Wolf said.
“Right, I told the banker to call the police to pick up the other robber.” Grey Wolf replied, “Anyway; that scared the other robbers, who had put their guns down to grab money. One of them grabbed his gun and aimed at El Coyote but missed. I kicked the gun out of his hand and they ran out.”
“Well,” Wolf Woman said, “All in all, it was a great mission. So tell me, did you yell to say ‘way to go El Coyote’ when he got the jump on them, or when he nearly got shot?”
“You yelled, William?” White Wolf asked.
“I was going to ask her the same thing,” he said, “You heard me yell, Wolf Woman?”
“Yeah, at least I thought that I did, maybe I was imagining things…”
“We did get a little worried when you didn’t come out for five minutes,” White Wolf said, “I wouldn’t be surprised if you thought that you heard him yell for help.”
“Oh well… I guess that I was hearing things.”
“Well, anyway, I think that with the way that El Coyote and Ivy handled everything, we might have some new Titans very soon!” Grey Wolf exclaimed.
“I think you may be right!” Wolf Woman said excitedly. But in the back of her mind she was confused, I heard him cry out plain as day…

“Everyone,” Robin said, “please take your seats.”
Wolf Woman and everybody else sat down. The council meeting had started.
The council consisted of nine Titans, which were the five first Titans, the Wolf Pack, and Batgirl. Robin sat at the head of the table; on his right were Cyborg, then Wolf Woman, then Grey Wolf, and then White Wolf. On Robin’s left sat Batgirl, Starfire, Beastboy, and Raven.
“What I’ve called you here today for is a very serious thing,” Robin said, “We have reason to believe that there is a spy. Wolf Woman, would you please tell everyone about what made you start thinking about it?”
“Sure,” she said, standing up. She told them about the conversation between her and Leo the Lion, for some of the Titans in the room hadn’t heard what happened yet. When she was done, she sat back down.
“We need to be on the lookout,” Robin said, “If anyone sees anything suspicious, report it. And be careful about what you tell people and whom you tell. I once had a friend that I thought that I could trust, and then, one day, he pulled a gun on some of my friends.”
Wolf Woman knew exactly whom he was talking about even before his sentence was over. She didn’t want anything like that to ever happen again, but with a spy among them it just might. She shuddered and pushed that thought out of her head.
After an awkward silence, Robin started on another subject, “It’s getting close to the day when we will pick trainees to become Titans, so soon we will be sending each of you on a mission with one or two trainees. On the missions, you will monitor them and bring back your reports. Wolf Pack, I heard that you three gave a training course today.”
“Yes,” they said together.
“Good,” Robin said, “you three will take the people who got the highest scores on the simulation tests, El Coyote and Ivy, I believe.”
“All right.” said the Wolf Pack, again in unison.
“Robin,” Wolf Woman said, “Do you have records on each of the trainees?”
“Yes,” he replied, “I do, after the meeting you can come and look at them, if you want.”
“Thanks,” she said.
“Yep, now let me see, Cyborg and Starfire, you two will take…the Eagle and Superstar. Beastboy and I will take Dark Warrior and Red Panther. And Raven and Batgirl will take Gadget Guy and Dawn. Was everyone assigned?”
Everyone nodded.
“Good, now let my last words for the meeting be the most important: a spy is in our midst, if you see anything strange report it.”
Everyone got up to leave except for Wolf Woman; instead, she walked over to Robin.
“Okay, the files are in this drawer.” Robin gestured to the third drawer from the top of a filing cabinet.
“Thank-you, Robin.” she said. Then she started going through the files, looking for the two that she would be helping, El Coyote and Ivy.
First, she found El Coyote’s file. It was small, like the others, but it did give important info. He’d been in training from the beginning of their trainee program; all those who worked with him said that he was a hard worker, fellow trainees and Titans alike; he didn’t have any superpowers; his strengths were in gymnastics and acrobatics; and his weakness was that he sometimes didn’t think before he did something.
Next, she looked in Ivy’s file. She’d been in training from the beginning of the program also, as well as having some previous training for using her plant-controlling powers; who her trainer had been was not mentioned.
Strange, Wolf Woman thought, and then she read on. She was also a very hard worker, everyone agreed to that; and her weakness was that she got distracted easily, something that she’d been working on fixing for a long time.
She also read a little about the others that made it to the trial time. The Eagle’s power was flight, but other then that he just had gadgets. Superstar didn’t have any powers, but she was great at gymnastics and acrobatics. Dark Warrior also didn’t have powers; he excelled at using any weapon, his favorite being double katanas (ninja swords). Gadget Guy (as you might have guessed) had about “a million” gadgets. Red Panther had no powers, but she excelled at hand-to-hand combat and stealth. Last, Dawn’s power was pretty much anything that had to do with light, for example, she could become so bright that she could blind people temporarily.
When she was done looking through the files, Wolf Woman shut the drawer, walked out of the room, and went home.

Chapter 4
Trainees
Wed, Oct 4th, 2056
"So guys," Wolf Woman said to her friends, Grey Wolf and White Wolf, "Do you have a plan as to what we are going to teach the trainees today?"
After a few days of resting, Wolf Woman felt way better. There was still a small amount of pain from her whip wounds, but it was mostly gone. The Wolf Pack was walking down the road to the trainee building; it was their turn to teach them.
The Teen Titans had had this trainees program for almost three months now. When they had first started the program they’d gotten a lot of people who really hadn’t had any Superhero potential whatsoever. But they gently sent away those people and now the trainee program was flourishing. In fact, there were even a few trainees who were almost ready to become Titans already!
"Well, since we couldn’t really prepare with you being gone I think that today we should give tests to see what they’ve learned." White Wolf said.
"That’s a good idea," Grey Wolf replied, "But what kind of tests?"
"Let’s put them in the obstacle course," Wolf Woman suggested.
"Yeah!" Grey Wolf said, "We can put them in two by two and have them race each other."
"And after the obstacle test," White Wolf added, "We can give them a Teamwork simulation test."
"That sounds good." Wolf Woman said, "We’re here, let’s go set everything up."
They walked inside and went straight to work. They had two hours to get everything done.
____________________
"Okay, everyone," Wolf Woman said into the microphone to the trainees, "Today you are going to have two tests."
All of the trainees groaned. "Ah, man." "Nuts." "Oh great!"
Wolf Woman ignored their complaining and continued, "The first test is a race through the obstacle course by twos. White Wolf will explain everything when you get there. And the next and last test of the day is a teamwork test inside the simulator. Grey Wolf will explain about that when the time comes. Now, if you’ll all follow me to the gym, we’ll get started."
They all walked into the gym where White Wolf was waiting. Once they were all inside she started explaining, "You will all pair up in twos. There should be one person without a partner, don’t worry, I’ll explain what will happen with you."
"The first two in line will go out into the course and race through it. Go quickly because after ten seconds we will send another pair after you. Once you get to the end of the course, Grey Wolf will record who won. Then you will get back to the beginning and the one who lost will team up with the person without a teammate. You will keep doing that until the test is over."
So everyone got into pairs except for one and they started.
The test lasted for about an hour. When it was over, Wolf Woman announced who won.
"There is a three-way tie for the person who won the race the most times. And they are: Gadget Guy, Superstar, and Dark Warrior!"
Everyone cheered, happy for his or her fellow trainees.
Then everyone headed over to the simulator and they all were put in groups of two or three. One group was sent inside the simulator, where Grey Wolf briefed them on what they would do.
"This simulation test is a test on teamwork. Your scores at the end will be based on how you react to your teammates in various situations. The others in the Wolf Pack and I will watch you, but not the other trainees."
Grey Wolf left the room and went into the monitoring room where Wolf Woman and White Wolf waited.
Then Grey Wolf spoke into the intercom, "Okay, the simulation will begin, now."
Grey Wolf pushed a button and the simulation started. The Wolves watched, took notes, and then called in the next group. They did this repeatedly until everyone had gone. When everyone was done, the Wolf Pack told the trainees the results.
"The winning team is…" Wolf Woman said, "Ivy and El Coyote!"
Everyone once again cheered for his or her friends.
Then the Wolf Pack left the trainee building, their job for the day was done. Now they all went to their main Teen Titan building. White Wolf offered to write up the trainee progress report, so she went to her room and the other two walked around HQ for a while.
After walking and talking with Wolf Woman about the trainees for a little bit, Grey Wolf walked over to some other teen guy Heroes and talked with them. Wolf Woman saw Batgirl and went over to talk with her. "Hi, Batgirl!"
"Hi, Wolf Woman. How are you doing?"
"Much better now, thank-you!"
"That’s good," she said. There was silence for a few seconds. Then, to break it, Batgirl asked, "So, you and the rest of the Pack taught the trainees today?"
"Well," Wolf Woman replied, "I wouldn’t call it ‘teaching’ exactly. More like ‘testing’."
"How was it? I taught them last week and some of them were clueless."
"Really? Which ones"
"I can’t remember all of them… just know that there was a few who didn’t know how to use their powers or abilities in the right way."
"But we were able to help them correct their errors," Starfire said walking up to them, "Correct, Batgirl?"
"Hi Star," Batgirl said, "Yeah, it took hours, but we helped them out."
"We gave them obstacle course races and simulation tests; we didn’t have much time to prepare with me having been captured a few days ago." Wolf Woman said.
"Yeah, and speaking of which what’s going on with this talk of spies?" Batgirl asked. "I heard that something happened while you were captured that got you thinking about spies."
"Yes, it’s what we will be discussing at the council meeting tonight." Starfire said, "Why do we think that there is a spy?"
"Well, when I was captured I asked Leo-"
"LEO?" the two yelled.
"I thought he was dead!" Batgirl exclaimed.
"As did I!"
"Oh, well, long-story-short, I actually killed Red Minion dressed to look like Leo. Then he captured me and he told me that he knew that I was the one in the Catwoman suit. I asked him how he knew and he said that he had ears everywhere." said Wolf Woman, "That sounds to me like spies."
"Yes, it does." Starfire said, "Are there of the suspects?"
"No, we have no suspects right now," Wolf Woman replied, trying not to smirk at Starfire’s grammar. "It could be anyone."
"Even Starfire!" Batgirl said teasingly.
Starfire didn’t seem to catch the teasing note in her friend’s voice, "Batgirl, I hope you will believe me when I tell you I’m not."
"Umm, Star, I was joking. I know it’s not you!" Batgirl smiled apologetically.
Starfire’s eyes lit up and she smiled joyfully.
"Well, I don’t think that it’s either one of you," Wolf Woman said, "But, it could be anyone. A trainee, one of our sources, one of our own spies, it could even be an actual Titan."
"And whoever it is," Batgirl whispered, "could be sneaking up from behind us right now!"
"Hi girls!"
"AAA!" they screamed. They turned and saw Grey Wolf standing behind them.
"Oh, Grey Wolf," Wolf Woman said sheepishly, "I’m sorry, we didn’t know that you were there and we were talking about someone sneaking up from behind and…"
"…And then you came up from behind us and…" Starfire said.
"…And so we screamed," Batgirl finished.
"It’s all right, I am sometimes scary," he said sarcastically, drawing his claws with an evil snicker. He re-sheathed his claws and said, "So what were you talking about before I scared you?"
"We were talking about spies." Batgirl said.
"Oh yeah, I heard something about that though I can’t remember where…"
"You certainly should have heard something about it!" Wolf Woman said, "There’s a meeting of the council tonight about it."
"Oh yeah! I remember now." Grey Wolf said.
"Good, we’d kill you if you didn’t show." Wolf Woman said, "It’s a very important meeting."
Just then, Batgirl’s radio beeped. "Yes?" she said into the radio.
"Batgirl," Robin said, "You have a mission. Meet me in the briefing room."
"Will do, Robin," Batgirl turned to the others and said, "Well, I have to go. See you guys later!"
"Bye." Grey Wolf, Wolf Woman, and Starfire called out to their friend.
"And good luck on the mission!" Wolf Woman added.
"Thanks!" she replied.
"I shall go as well. I have the computer work to do," Starfire said.
"Oh yeah, me too." said Wolf Woman, "I need to log my Catwoman mission and about when I was captured. Bye guys, see you both tonight."
"Bye."
"Bye."

Rottweiler saw the tree falling first. With a scream, she ran back, pulling Golden Retriever with her.
The tree landed with a great thud, and shook the ground even more.
“Come on,” Rottweiler yelled, “We have to go around it!”

As Wolf Woman walked towards the bars of the cell, where it was safer, she heard a loud thud. After the thud, more of the roof started to cave in.
“Great,” Wolf Woman said under her breath.
She ran back to the hole and sat. There’s no roof to cave in here, she thought, I’ll just have to look up and watch for anything coming my way.
After about a minute, she did see something.
“Wolf Woman!” Rottweiler yelled, “Can you climb out?”
“No!”
“Then here,” she said and tossed down a rope, “Grab this!”
Wolf Woman did as she had been told and the other two pulled her up and out.
“Come on.” Golden Retriever said, “Let’s get out of here.”
They ran back to Golden Retriever’s car and got in. There they waited for the earthquake to stop.
When it did stop, they drove back to TTHQ. With a smile on her face, Wolf Woman silently prayed, Father, thank-you for helping me to escape. Thank-you for bringing my friends and me out of the earthquake safely and also out of the Legion’s hands safely. Also thank-you for helping me to be strong and not tell them what they wanted. I love You. In Jesus’ name in pray, Amen.

“Well,” Catwoman said, “Everyone tells me that you were a great Catwoman.”
“Even if I was,” Wolf Woman replied, “I’m not as good as you.”
“Maybe, but you were pretty convincing. After all, you tricked at least three of the Legion, the Leopard and two minions.”
“True,” she shrugged. “Hey, speaking of the Legion, when I was captured, Leo said something about having ears everywhere. Do you know what he meant?”
Catwoman looked worried at hearing this, “I hope it’s not what I think it means, Wolf Woman.”
“What do you think?”
“Spies,” Catwoman replied.
“That’s what I was thinking too; we’ll have to be careful.”
“I think that we should report this to Superman and Robin.”
“Yeah,” Wolf Woman replied, “that’s probably a good idea.”
“Well then let’s go do it now.”
“All right, I’ll call them both and tell them to meet us in the briefing room.” Wolf Woman said, grabbing her radio.
Robin answered, “Yes?”
“Hi Robin, this is Wolf Woman.”
“Hi, what’s up?”
“Catwoman and I need to talk to you and Superman about something, could you meet us in the briefing room?”
“Sure thing.”
“See you there.”
Wolf Woman started to call Superman, but Catwoman stopped her, “I just called him while you were talking to Robin. He said he’d be there in a second.”
“All right then, let’s go.”
It took them about five minutes to get to the briefing room; it normally would have only taken three, but the wounds from Leo’s whip still hurt her and Catwoman slowed down for her. Superman, with his super-speed, had already gotten there, and Robin came in about thirty seconds after they did.
“All right, Catwoman and Wolf Woman,” Superman said, “What is it that you need to talk about?”
“It’s something that happened to Wolf Woman while she was captured.” Catwoman said, “Go ahead and tell them Wolf Woman.”
“Okay, well after I was captured by Leo-”
“Captured by Leo?” Superman asked.
“I thought he was dead!” Robin exclaimed.
“So did I, but apparently I killed a minion dressed to look like him. Anyways, he told me that he knew that I was the one in the Catwoman suit, and when I asked him how he knew he said, ‘I have ears everywhere’. I was talking with Catwoman earlier and we both agreed that it sounds like we have a spy in our midst.”
“Or spies,” Catwoman added.
“You know. That makes sense with what happened when we went to rescue you, Catwoman.” Robin said, “They were waiting for us; they expected us!”
“And if there is a spy, you know what that means,” Superman said sadly.
“Betrayal,” Wolf Woman nodded sadly, “I already know too much about that, I don’t want to know more.”
“Me either, Wolf Woman,” Robin said.
"Robin, you should talk to a few core members that you trust fully about this, but don’t let the news get spread to far,” Superman said. “We don’t want them to know that we’re onto them. I’ll do the same with some members of the Justice League.”
“Right, Superman.” Robin said.
The four Heroes walked out of the room, all with a bit of sadness in their hearts at the thought of there being a spy in their midst. The Teen Titans and the Justice League were both built on trust, as was the Super Friends. But with a spy, that trust would be tested greatly.
“So Wolf Woman,” Robin said, “How are you doing? I mean, with everything that’s happened to you in the past few days.”
“I’m all right, I guess,” she replied. “My wounds from the fight with Leopard and Leo-excuse me-Red Minion are fully healed, but my whip wounds aren’t.”
“You were whipped? By whom?”
“Who else hates my guts?”
“Leo.” He turned his face away from her for a second. If he hadn’t, though, Wolf Woman would have seen rage in his expression.
“I’ve finally eaten after not eating for five days,” she continued, not noticing that he had turned away. “And I’m very tired. I think that I should go home and rest for a couple of days. Or years.”
Robin turned back to look at her and laughed, all rage gone from his face and undetected by Wolf Woman, “I know the feeling. Well, I guess I’ll see you later. Bye Jules.”
“Bye Dick.”
So she changed out of her costume and back into Julia Wolfe, and went home.
Immediately after she walked in the door she was bombarded by questions from her parents, “Where have you been for the past week? Why didn’t you call and tell us where you were or how long you’d be gone? What are you going to tell Cassie?”
“Okay, I’m sorry. But can you please let me explain?”
“All right, let’s go into the living room.” Michael Wolfe (her Dad) said, “We told Cassie to wait upstairs until you came up to talk to her, much to her disappointment. We had no idea what to tell her, so I hope that you have an idea.”
Julia sat on the couch and Felicia, overjoyed to see Julia again, ran over and jumped up onto her lap, purring loudly.
“I do,” Julia said, “I’ll tell her the truth.”
Christina Wolfe (her Mom) looked worried, “Are you sure, Julia? You know that if she knew that you were a Superhero she might get the idea to be one also. She could get into a lot of trouble.”
“Okay, let me say it a bit differently,” Julia said, “I’ll tell her what happened to me, but not that I’m a Superhero.”
“But how can you tell her without her knowing?” Michael asked, “You were on a mission, weren’t you?”
“Not exactly, Dad. I was kidnapped.”
“What?” Christina exclaimed.
“I was captured by Leo the Lion Sunday night. I was just rescued today. So I’m going to tell Cassie that I was kidnapped and the Teen Titans came and saved me. Do you two have any problems with that story?”
“No, I don’t,” said Mrs. Wolfe, “You were kidnapped? I’m so sorry; I was really mad at you for not telling us where you were, but now I see why. Are you all right?”
“Yes, I’m fine. And I forgive you; I mean, I would have thought the same thing that you two thought probably. So I understand.”
“All right, now you should probably go talk to Cassie before she comes charging down here herself.” Michael Wolfe said with a smile.
“All right, Dad.” Julia took Felicia off of her lap and set her on the floor. Then she stood up and walked up the stairs to Cassie’s room, her cat following close behind her. She knocked on the door, which quickly opened.
“You’re back!” Cassie threw herself onto Julia, who winced but tried to hide the pain. “We were all so worried, Mom and Dad called the police when you were gone for more than two days. What happened?”
“You’re not going to believe what I tell you,” Julia said.
“Yes, I will,” Cassie said, “Just tell me!”
“Well, Cass, I was kidnapped.”
“What? By whom?”
“Well, you remember my old friend, Leo Drake?”
“The one who got into drugs and got arrested?”
Julia nodded, “Well, it turns out that he’s gotten into more trouble with the law, and is now called Leo the Lion.”
“What? Your old friend is the villain Leo the Lion?”
“Yes, it’s true.” Julia said, “Well, anyway, he was…is pretty mad at me for telling the police on him. And so he kidnapped me. But thankfully, the Teen Titans saved me from him.”
“You got to meet some of the Teen Titans? Which ones?”
“Rottweiler and Golden Retriever.”
“Oh. Well that’s cool.”
Julia was confused, “What? You were all excited that I met some Titans and now you’re all ‘oh, that’s cool’.”
“Well, I was hoping that you could have met some of the, you know, guy Titans.”
Julia held back laughter; her fourteen-year-old sister had just started noticing guys more; she probably had a crush on one of the Titans right now. But instead of laughing she smiled, “And whom did you want me to meet, may I ask?”
Cassie blushed, “Grey Wolf,” she said shyly.
Julia kept a straight face, but inside she was laughing her head off. “Well, if I ever see him, I’ll tell him that you’re his biggest fan.”
Cassie laughed, “Yeah right. You won’t be seeing any Titans again, hopefully. ‘Cause that would mean that you needed rescuing. I hope you never get into that type of problem again.”
“Thanks, Cassie. I hope that it won’t happen again too.” Julia yawned, “I’m sorry that I’m going to cut our time together short, but I’m really tired.”
“It’s all right,” said Cassie, “I understand.”
So Julia headed into her room with Felicia right behind her. She changed into her pajamas and climbed painfully into bed. It had been a long week.
