Sincerely, Concerned Student ----------------------------------------------------- Reply: Dear Concerned Student: Sorry, I am not allowed in schools. Sincerely, God ---------------------------------------------------------- How did this get started?... Let's see, I think it started when Madeline Murray O'Hare complained She didn't want any prayer in our schools. And we said, OK. ------------------ Then, someone said you better not: Read the Bible in school; the Bible that says "Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, And love your neighbors as yourself," And we said, OK... ---------------- Dr. Benjamin Spock said We shouldn't spank our children when they misbehaved because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem. And we said, An expert should know what he's talking about So we won't spank them anymore.. ------------------ Then someone said Teachers and principals better not discipline our children when they misbehave. And the school administrators said; “No faculty member in this school better touch a student when they misbehave’ Because we don't want any bad publicity, and we surely don't want to be sued.” And we accepted their reasoning... ------------------ Then someone said, “Let's let our daughters have abortions if they want, and they won't even have to tell their parents. And we said, that's a grand idea. ----------------- Then some wise school board member said, “Since boys will be boys and they're going to do it anyway, let's give our sons all the condoms they want, so they can have all the fun they desire, and we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school. And we said, that's another great idea... ------------------ Then some of our top elected officials said; “It doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs. And we said, It doesn't matter what anybody, ------------------ And someone else took that appreciation a step further and published pictures of nude children and then stepped further still by making them available on the Internet. And we said, everyone's entitled to free speech.... ------------------ And the entertainment industry said, “Let's make TV shows and movies that promote Profanity, Violence and Illicit Sex...And let's record music that encourages Rape, Drugs, Murder, Suicide, and Satanic themes... And we said, “It's just entertainment and it has no adverse effect and nobody takes it seriously anyway. So go right ahead. ------------------ Now we're asking ourselves…Why our children have no conscience, Why they don't know right from wrong, And why it doesn't bother them to Kill strangers, classmates or even themselves. ------------------ Undoubtedly, If we thought about it long and hard enough, we could figure it out. I'm sure it has a great deal to do with... "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW" ------------------ Pass it on if you think it has merit! If not then just discard it... But if you discard this thought process, Then don't you dare sit back and complain about What bad shape this country is in!! Why is it our children can not read a Bible in school, but can in Prison. Too Little Too Late! |

And a special thanks to my "legs" person that day Cindy...I thank you for saving me soooo many steps you were Great! And of course I can't forget the before the event helpers either! Hats off to M.E. "The Parachute & Folder Queen" & Gina "The Hole Punching Queen" to thousands of pages! Each family recieved a folder with 26 pages of info, pictures, etc. One family wrote that after our event they went to a "civil war museum" and The Family that attended our event knew more info than the folks running the museum knew! Too funny! Homeschoolers rule! This was after the event right before we tore down our little camp.
The guys having "Coffee" it was a HUGE thing to have a cup of coffee back then! It was running 10.00 a pound and that is not the equvilant to our ten dollars! At the end of the day we did our Letterboxing class. Some may wonder why letterboxing? Well it actually started in the 1860's in England so it was time appropriate. And we were in a park so.... We raffled off a letterbox. And also raffled off some civil war coloring books I made. Then one family won the drawing to be able to hide the Wonderland letterbox. We had a great time! THis many folks were still in attendance after 6 hours. Thanks again to all that participated. |

Our poor kids! No rest ever! Here it was time for dinner... but we turned it into a school lesson... ...and we had so much fun! Have gotten several requests on where to purchase MRE's Any Army Surplus store sell the MRE's Have Fun...let me know when you post "Your MRE Story"! It all started when we found out that not one but two of our children were going to Iraq this year...one in March and one in May. So we have been spending time discussing what life would be like on the field as well as what life has been known to be like on the field in years gone by...Anyways the kids had "MRE" (Meals Ready to Eat) for dinner just like the solidiers would get off the delivery truck while out in the field...It was called...Chicken with Salsa...It was quite interesting...rather on the spicy side...in WW2 the MRE's came with three cigarettes, mathches and toilet tisue...there were no cigarettes but still the matches and tissue...the dailyration on tissue was quite slim! Also even in WW@ the soliders got M&M's and the slogan "they melt in your mouth and not in yours hands came after M&M's did so well in WW2. .. Hope you enjoy the pictures we had Tons of Fun! Here's how the story would read in the local newspaper :

Probe Launched by Child Protective Services of Infant
Discovered in Barn Nazareth Carpenter Held On Molestation Charges Bethlehem, Judea—Authorities were today alerted by a concerned citizen who noticed a family living in a barn. Upon arrival, Family Protective Services personnel, accompanied by police, took into protective care an infant child named Jesus who had been wrapped in strips of cloth and placed in a feeding troughby his 14-year old mother, Mary of Nazareth.During the confrontation, a man identified as Joseph, also of Nazareth, attempted to stop the social workers. Joseph, aided by several local shepherds and some unidentified foreigners, tried to forestall efforts to take the child, but were restrained by the police. Also being held for questioning are three foreigners who allege to be wise men from an eastern country. The INS and Homeland Security officials are seeking information about these men who may be in the country illegally. A source with the INS states that they had no passports, but were in possession of much gold and some other [possibly illegal] substances. They resisted arrest, saying that they had been warned by God to avoid officials in Jerusalem and to return quickly to their own country. The chemical substances in their possession will be tested. The owner of the barn is also being held for questioning. The manager of the Bethlehem Inn faces possible revocation of his license for violating health and safety regulations by allowing people to stay in the stable. Civil authorities are also investigating possible zoning violations involved in maintaining livestock in a commercially zoned district. The location of the minor child will not be disclosed, and the prospect for a quick resolution to this case is doubtful. Asked about when Jesus would be returned to his mother, a Child Protective Services spokesperson said, "The father is middle-aged and the mother definitely underage. We are checking with officials in Nazareth to determine what their legal relationship is." Joseph has admitted to taking Mary from her home in Nazarethbecause of a census requirement. However, because she was obviously pregnant when they left, investigators are looking into other reasons for their departure. Joseph is being held without bond on charges of molestation, kidnapping, child endangerment, and statutory rape. Mary was taken to the Bethlehem General Hospital where she is being examined by doctors. Charges may also be filed againsther for child endangerment. She will also undergo psychiatric evaluation because of her claim that she is a virgin and that the child is from God. The director of the psychiatric wing said, "I don't profess to have the right to tell people what to believe, but when their beliefs adversely affect the safety and well-being of others — in this case her child—we must consider her a danger to others. The unidentified drugs at the scene don't help her case, but I'm confident that with the proper therapeutic regimen we can get her back on her feet." A spokesperson for the governor's office said, "Who knows what was going through their minds? But regardless, their treatment of the child was inexcusable, and the involvement of these others is frightening. There is much we don't know about this case, but for the sake of the child and the public, you can be assured that we will pursue this matter to the end." |

PUBLIC SCHOOLS - PUBLIC PRISONS
By Joel Turtel November 6, 2005 NewsWithViews.com Why have we put our children into education prisons called public schools? What crimes have they committed? Why do we condemn almost 45 million innocent children to this punishment? Do I exaggerate by calling these schools "prisons?" Well, let's compare prisons and public schools. What are prisons? They are places where people are locked up against their will for crimes they have committed. What is life like for a prisoner? The warden and prison guards, in effect, take away the prisoner's life and freedom. They force a prisoner to live in a small cell he doesn't want to live in, eat food he may hate, work at a job he detests, associate with other prisoners who may be dangerous, and remove him from everyone and everything he loved in the outside world when he was free. Like prisons, public schools impose their will by force, by compulsion. Local governments force parents to send their children to public schools just as the police drag convicted criminals into prison (even though many parents are not aware of this and voluntarily send their kids to these schools). A parent can be convicted of alleged child abuse and sent to prison if she disobeys the school authority's order to send her child to the local public school. Local governments then force parents to pay school taxes for these education prisons. If they don't pay these taxes, their local government will foreclose on their home and throw them out on the street. School authorities force children to stay in school until they are 16 years old or graduate high school (these age limits vary by state). In effect, most children get a 10-year education prison sentence if they start school at age six. School authorities force millions of children to sit in boxes called classrooms with 20 other children-inmates for six to eight hours a day, five days a week, for up to ten years. The children must obey the adult education wardens (teachers and principals), who they may fear or dislike. They must study subjects they may hate or that bore them to death. They must associate only with other children their same age who may be bullies, violent, or emotionally disturbed. They must do homework and study for tests they must pass or be left back in school. The children are removed from their loving parents and put under the control of teacher-wardens who may not love them, care for them, or simply even have the time to pay attention to them. They are stopped from being free-spirited child. They are told to keep quiet. They are told to obey the rules. They are told to march from classroom cell to classroom cell every 50 minutes to study different subjects that may mean nothing to them. Parents, if you don't think this is harsh punishment for your innocent child, ask yourself this. When your spouse pressures you to attend some event you hate, whether a ballet, lecture, or football game, how do you feel? After sitting at that event for only an hour, how do you feel? You are probably angry, irritated, and frustrated. You squirm in your seat or doze off. You can't wait to get out of there. You can't wait to get back to your life and doing the things you love to do. Well, millions of kids, and probably your child, must sit through this agony of boredom or frustration for 6 to 8 hours a day for 10 years in public-school classrooms. Yet, to repeat, what crimes have your children committed to warrant this horrible punishment? In fact, they have committed no crime whatsoever. They are simply innocent victims of local governments and public-school authorities who think they own your children, who think they have the right to put your children into education prisons for 10 years for "their own good." Parents, if a rogue cop came and took your child to prison for no reason whatsoever, except for saying it would be for your child's "own good," would you not fight to the death to stop him? So why do you let school authorities take your innocent children and punish them for ten years? Parents, if you thought you had no choice, you are wrong. Happily, you can homeschool your child or give your child a fun, quality, rewarding, low-cost education with Internet private schools. |

HOW PUBLIC SCHOOL SOCIALISTS BRAINWASH CHILDREN & DESTROY AMERICA
By Joel Turtel November 18, 2006 NewsWithViews.com One reason public schools get away with educational failure, year after year, is because they are run by left-leaning politicians and school officials who passionately believe that government should control your children's mind, values, and future. As the great English writer C. S. Lewis (of Chronicles of Narnia) wrote, "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. Those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." Public-school socialist true-believers often fall into this category --- for over a 150 years, education "progressive" so-called experts have been tormenting our children with public schools, allegedly for our children's benefit. Like all fascist, socialist, or communist true-believers, these people absolutely believe that they know what is best for your children, and seek to ram their beliefs down parents' throats. From the 1840s to the 1930s, public-school "progressive" activists like Horace Mann and John Dewey worked to create a public-school system like the one they admired in Prussia (Germany). Mann and Dewey considered public education a religion, with a holy mission to mold children and society. Simply teaching children to read, write, and do math was too commonplace a goal for them. Mann and Dewey wanted the schools to have total control over children's lives. This meant removing parents' influence over their children. Mann put it this way: "We who are engaged in the sacred cause of education are entitled to look upon all parents as having given hostages to our cause." Dewey had a socialist utopian vision for America and he wanted the common schools to achieve his vision. To create a government-dominated socialist America, public schools had to mold generations of children into the habit of obedience. In his "Pedagogic Creed" of 1897, Dewey wrote, "Every teacher should realize he is a social servant set apart for the maintenance of the proper social order and the securing of the right social growth. . ." By the early twentieth century, public schools had expanded their functions into areas undreamed of in the 1850s. Schools took on the role of social agencies, with nurses, social centers, playgrounds, school showers, kindergartens, and "Americanization" programs for immigrants. Public schools became a major agency for social control. Unfortunately, today's public schools are fulfilling Mann's and Dewey's "government- knows-best" vision with a vengeance. There is hardly any area of children's lives that school authorities now don't push to control. Politicians and public-school apologists in many states are now pushing programs that would make kindergarten compulsory. Yes, they now want to literally take 3 and 4-year old children from their mother's arms and stick them in public-school nursery-classrooms. Public schools also now spend billions of dollars for psychological counseling, school-lunch programs, mandatory drug-testing, parent welfare-outreach programs, special-education classes, bilingual classes, early-childhood programs, drug and sex education classes, as well as programs for millions of "at-risk" or "special-needs" children. This government-knows-best philosophy is the deepest reason why public schools get away with educational murder and can never be fixed. Public-school apologists believe that government bureaucrats and school authorities should dictate your children's education and the values they are taught. By implication, they believe that parents are an annoyance at best. More often, they believe that parents are a danger to their children's "proper" education and the values children "ought" to be taught by government employees. To turn your children into dumbed-down, obedient little citizens and multiculturalist "citizens of the world," public-school authorities have to keep an iron grip on your children's minds and values. That is why public-school true believers will never voluntarily give up control over our children. They see themselves as noble idealists who know what is "best" for your children. That is why these socialist-fascist-minded "idealists" have contempt for your parental rights. In the recent Congressional elections, the police-state chickens are coming home to roost. The majority of 18 to 25 year-olds, graduates of our socialist-indoctrinating public schools, voted for Democrats. These are the children who spent 12 years in public schools that systematically insult traditional American ideals and values. These are the schools that preach the multicultural trash that all cultures' values are "equal," and that American values of individual rights, economic liberty, and limited government are "selfish" or arrogant. |

Thanks to ALL the familes(238) folks that participated in our Civil War Expo! Also A HUGE THANKS to MISS ELLIE, CORPORAL LEWIS and LIEUTENANT KING for being avaialable that day! Miss Ellie and Corporal Lewis from Arkansas had a fantastic time! And our Homeschool Event made front page in our town! The creek seemed to be the big hit for the kids. Many were barefooted and playing there. And it was such a blessing to see the children enjoying the toys they made that day. The litte girls were toting around their yarn dolls and the boys were flying their parachutes. One boy tied his yarn doll to the paprachute and had great fun sending his yarn doll into the sky to ride the parachute, so cute! And I am sure no child there will forget the opportunity to actually shot the civil war guns! Each soldier went thru 120 rounds!
