HOW PUBLIC SCHOOL SOCIALISTS BRAINWASH CHILDREN & DESTROY AMERICA
By Joel Turtel November 18, 2006 NewsWithViews.com One reason public schools get away with educational failure, year after year, is because they are run by left-leaning politicians and school officials who passionately believe that government should control your children's mind, values, and future. As the great English writer C. S. Lewis (of Chronicles of Narnia) wrote, "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. Those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." Public-school socialist true-believers often fall into this category --- for over a 150 years, education "progressive" so-called experts have been tormenting our children with public schools, allegedly for our children's benefit. Like all fascist, socialist, or communist true-believers, these people absolutely believe that they know what is best for your children, and seek to ram their beliefs down parents' throats. From the 1840s to the 1930s, public-school "progressive" activists like Horace Mann and John Dewey worked to create a public-school system like the one they admired in Prussia (Germany). Mann and Dewey considered public education a religion, with a holy mission to mold children and society. Simply teaching children to read, write, and do math was too commonplace a goal for them. Mann and Dewey wanted the schools to have total control over children's lives. This meant removing parents' influence over their children. Mann put it this way: "We who are engaged in the sacred cause of education are entitled to look upon all parents as having given hostages to our cause." Dewey had a socialist utopian vision for America and he wanted the common schools to achieve his vision. To create a government-dominated socialist America, public schools had to mold generations of children into the habit of obedience. In his "Pedagogic Creed" of 1897, Dewey wrote, "Every teacher should realize he is a social servant set apart for the maintenance of the proper social order and the securing of the right social growth. . ." By the early twentieth century, public schools had expanded their functions into areas undreamed of in the 1850s. Schools took on the role of social agencies, with nurses, social centers, playgrounds, school showers, kindergartens, and "Americanization" programs for immigrants. Public schools became a major agency for social control. Unfortunately, today's public schools are fulfilling Mann's and Dewey's "government- knows-best" vision with a vengeance. There is hardly any area of children's lives that school authorities now don't push to control. Politicians and public-school apologists in many states are now pushing programs that would make kindergarten compulsory. Yes, they now want to literally take 3 and 4-year old children from their mother's arms and stick them in public-school nursery-classrooms. Public schools also now spend billions of dollars for psychological counseling, school-lunch programs, mandatory drug-testing, parent welfare-outreach programs, special-education classes, bilingual classes, early-childhood programs, drug and sex education classes, as well as programs for millions of "at-risk" or "special-needs" children. This government-knows-best philosophy is the deepest reason why public schools get away with educational murder and can never be fixed. Public-school apologists believe that government bureaucrats and school authorities should dictate your children's education and the values they are taught. By implication, they believe that parents are an annoyance at best. More often, they believe that parents are a danger to their children's "proper" education and the values children "ought" to be taught by government employees. To turn your children into dumbed-down, obedient little citizens and multiculturalist "citizens of the world," public-school authorities have to keep an iron grip on your children's minds and values. That is why public-school true believers will never voluntarily give up control over our children. They see themselves as noble idealists who know what is "best" for your children. That is why these socialist-fascist-minded "idealists" have contempt for your parental rights. In the recent Congressional elections, the police-state chickens are coming home to roost. The majority of 18 to 25 year-olds, graduates of our socialist-indoctrinating public schools, voted for Democrats. These are the children who spent 12 years in public schools that systematically insult traditional American ideals and values. These are the schools that preach the multicultural trash that all cultures' values are "equal," and that American values of individual rights, economic liberty, and limited government are "selfish" or arrogant. |

I got this from Little Eblings ... After reading why don't you do the same on your blog ... let me know where to find you and your awnsers ...
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot Chocolate ! ... but the kids love egg nog ...ick ! 2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? They are always wraped kinda sorta ... but gets a little sloppy sometimes. 3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? This year is Totally differant. We got a real tree so it has colored lights and the house has white lights. I only have two of the three trees decorated, (yes we put up three) 4. Do you hang misletoe? Oh yes ... anything to get a kiss with daddy ! 5. When do you put up your decorations? We start right after dinner on Thanksgiving. 6. What is your favorite Christmas dish ( excluding desserts) ? Is there anything else. hee, hee ? 7. Favorite Christmas memory as a child. My grandma's Silver Aluminum tree with color wheel. I have put it up every year now since 1994. 8. When & How did you learn the truth about Santa? As a child I was 12 yrs. old. As an adult I learned the real truth about christmas and Christ's birth. Just take the "n" in Santa and put it on the end. Then see how mant people get into debt ...and even more horrible things around this time of year. It is not about presents ! 9. Do you open a gift on christmas eve ? Oh, yes ! Everyone gets to pick the smallest one . 10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? We do not use any orbs as the christmas tree came from a pagean holiday called "Christ Mass" , it is in the bible and not a very nice thing at all. So we use ceramic ornaments, each year my aunt makes new one for the children and having so many children some have had to be given to the children for their trees. Also home made one the children make and clear plastic snowflakes and bulky icicles. (as we very rarely get snow we have to fake it hard). Then on christmas morning along with all the presents arrive candy canes galore on the tree ! 11. Snow? Last year we had 3 inches for about 2 hours, hee, hee Dose that count ? 12. Can you Ice Skate ? Yes I love it ! 13. Do you remember your favorite gift ? Yes one year I got three "betsy wetsies" ... triplets ! Then I had 9 children ...hmmm any conection I wonder ??? 14. What's the most important thing about Christmas ? Spreading the truth about Christ ! 15. What is your favorite Christmas dessert? My aunts "Bakalva" Haven't had any for many years as she has been gone since 1991. But I can still remember eating so many your tummy would hurt ... but you had to have just one more ! 16. What is your favorite Christmas tradition? This is a tuffy ... but would have to say decorating the house. 17. What tops your tree? Every year it seems to be differant as they always seem to break (you know the long glass ornament kind) this year hubby got me a fiber optic white & silver angel for our first real tree. 18. Which do you prefer ... Giving or Recieving ? Have to say giving but wish stores still wrapped presents like back in the good ol' days. 19. What is your favorite Christmas song ? Anything Elvis sings is fine with me ! 20.Candy canes ? Yuck or Yum ? Oh very yummy ! |

The government recently calculated the cost of raising a child from birth to 18 and came up with... $160,140 for a middle income family. Talk about sticker shock! That doesn't even touch college. But $160,140 isn't so bad if you break it down. It translates into: $8,896.66 a year, $741.38 a month, or $171.08 a week. What do you get for your $160,140? .... Naming rights; first, middle, and last! Glimpses of God every day. Giggles under the covers every night. More love than your heart can hold. Butterfly kisses and Velcro hugs. Endless wonder over rocks, ants, clouds, and warm cookies. A hand to hold usually covered with jelly or chocolate. A partner for blowing bubbles, flying kites. Someone to laugh yourself silly with; no matter what the boss said or how your stocks performed that day. For $160,140, you never have to grow up. You get to: finger-paint, play hide-and-seek, catch lightning bugs, and never stop believing in Santa Claus. You have an excuse to: keep reading the Adventures of Piglet and Pooh, watching Saturday morning cartoons, going to Disney movies, and wishing on stars. You get to frame rainbows, hearts, and flowers under refrigerator magnets and collect spray painted noodle wreaths for Christmas, hand prints set in clay for Mother's Day, and cards with backward letters for Father's Day. For $160,140, there is no greater bang for your buck. You get to be a hero just for: retrieving a Frisbee off the garage roof, taking the training wheels off a bike, removing a splinter, filling a wading pool, coaxing a wad of gum out of bangs, and coaching a baseball team that never wins but always gets treated to ice cream regardless. You get a front row seat to history to witness the: first step, first word, first bra, first date, and first time behind the wheel. You get to be immortal. You get another branch added to your family tree, and if you're lucky, a long list of limbs in your obituary called grandchildren and great grandchildren. You get an education in psychology, nursing, criminal justice, communications, and human sexuality that no college can match. In the eyes of a child, you rank right up there under God. You have all the power to heal a boo-boo, scare away the monsters under the bed, patch a broken heart, police a slumber party, ground them forever, and love them without limits. And, one day they will like you!!! That is quite a deal for the price!!!!!!! Be thankful for your children & grandchildren! |

Someday when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a parent, I will tell them, as my Mean Mom told me: I loved you enough… to ask where you were going, with whom, and what time you would be home. I loved you enough… to be silent and let you discover that your new best friend was a creep. I loved you enough to stand over you for two hours while you cleaned your room, a job that should have taken 15 minutes. I loved you enough… to let you see anger, disappointment, and tears in my eyes. Children must learn that their parents are not perfect. I loved you enough… to let you assume the responsibility for your actions even when the penalties were so harsh they almost broke my heart. However, most of all: I loved you enough… to say NO when I knew you would hate me for it. Those were the most difficult battles of all. I am glad I won them, because in the end you won, too. And… someday when your children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates parents, you will tell them. Was your Mom mean? I know mine was. I had the meanest mother in the whole world! While other kids ate candy for breakfast, I had to have cereal, eggs, and toast. When others had a Pepsi and a Twinkie for lunch, I had to eat sandwiches. And, you can guess mother fixed a dinner that was different from what other kids had, too. Mother insisted on knowing where I were at all times. You would think I was a convict in a prison. She had to know who my friends were, and what I were doing with them. She insisted that if I said I would be gone for an hour, I would be gone for an hour or less. I am ashamed to admit it, but she had the nerve to break the Child Labor Laws by making me work. I had to wash the dishes, make the beds, and learn to cook, vacuum the floor, do laundry, and empty the trash and all sorts of cruel jobs. I think she would lie awake at night thinking of more things for me to do. She always insisted on me telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. By the time, I was a teenager, she could read my mind and had eyes in the back of her head. Then, life was tough! Mother would not let my friend’s just honk the horn when they drove up. They had to come up to the door so she could meet them. While everyone else could date when they were 12 or 13, I had to wait until I was 16. Because of my mother, I missed out on lots of things other kids experienced. I have never been caught shoplifting, vandalizing other’s property or ever arrested for any crime. It was all her fault. Now that I have left home, and I am all educated & an honest adult. I am doing my best to be a mean parent just like Mom was. I think that is what's wrong with the world today. It just does not have enough mean moms! |
The History Of Halloween
Halloween is a "religious day" but it is NOT a Christian day. Tom Sanguinet, former high priest in the Celtic tradition of Wicca (witchcraft) said "The modern holiday we call Halloween has its origins in the full moon closest to November 1, the witches’ New Year. It was a time when the "spirits" (demons) were supposed to be at their peak power and revisiting the earth planet." He went on to say, "Halloween is purely and absolutely evil, and there is nothing we ever have or will do that would make it acceptable to the Lord Jesus." The Heros Of Halloween
You could not celebrate Halloween without the WITCH. The oldest known illustration of a witch dates back to the pre-Columbian era. He drawing shows the pagan goddess Tlazolteolf naked, wearing a pointed hat and riding a broomstick. Where you find witchcraft you will find nudity, divination, gross immorality and occultic practices just to name a few. According to the Old Testament of the Bible witchcraft and the whole spectrum of the occult were capital crimes, punishable by death. In the New Testament, in Galatians 5:20, witchcraft is listed among those things that are to be renounced by believers. In fact, Acts 19:18-19 records how that those who became Christians renounced all dealings with the occult and burned any occultic material they had. Popular west coast Bible teacher Dr. John MacArthur expresses it clearly enough when he says, "Dressing up like witches, ghosts, or goblins is incompatible with a Christian’s testimony. Furthermore, many of the customs of Halloween are associated with the worst kind of pagan ceremonies; they are usually centered on the sinister things such as demons, witchcraft, and superstition." The Harm Of Halloween
Halloween is a dangerous day and here are the reasons why... Ann Landers’ column entitled "Parents must tackle violence." The parent wrote "I heard something today that made my hair stand on end...Last October, the teacher of a fourth-grade class asked her students to write a short essay on what they would like to do most to celebrate Halloween. Eighty percent of her 9 year-olds expressed the wish to "kill somebody." Where do children get such ideas?" she asked. |

This week has been so hectic...changing curriculum when you want to is so great but also time comsuming...Since our visit to the circus we have been studying elephants & tigers. I asked the kids ...."since one horse needs 15lbs of food per week how much does and elephant need?" Victor said 40 lbs...Nina said 100 lbs. In searching for info on elephants on the wide web we found a neat PBS spot with great info. There are really nice teaching tools as well...one is on evolution but we just skipped that. Then little Vic was becoming bored with his math...not chalenging enuf so we got him a new book with CD...printable pages etc. To encourage more writting I made homeschool blogs for both children...of course they call it playing but it is helping them really become interested in there homeschooling world, not to mention having to be creative in finding things to put on there blog. Nina has really gotten the bug...Victor likes to mostly play with his "adopted internet pets". And then with it coming close to the gift giving holidays I dragged out my new sewing machine (a present from last year...) and decided to start making my grandsons something special for christmas. Looking thru all the material things I bought from last year on clearance after the holidays I found a really cute snowman apron to make. So, on my old machine, Nina is starting to learn to sew. There is a really nice site with homeschool curriculum if interested, stuff for boys too . Thanks to my friend comfy denim I can now use my hyperlink. And I forgot to mention we are getting geared up for our annual craft fair in between times...LOL |

Welll...hubby picked up some free tickets to "The Circus". Having been to several I thought I knew what to expect... not so... We went about an hour and a half away from home...and not seeing any signs in this town we stopped at the gas station and got directions...we were almost there...the kids were estatic!!! I had told them to dress warmly as it has gotten very cold here very early...(thinking this was an indoor event in a large unheated building)...well we got a little closer to see yes...only a
HUGE CIRCUS TENT... yellow and red...so cool! ( just like in the old movies)
Inside we found very old fashion seating...just a wooden board tied down to a supporting board of a kind. Any ways...it was a whopping 47 degrees last night and although we did dress warm it was not warm enough to sit in a BIG TOP Tent flapping in the breeze. Any ways both hubby and I being rather shocked..(and of course we couldn't just leave...which had it just been the two us of we would have) so in we went...I quickly found a small area between many people and asked if that space had been taken...it wasn't so in we snuggled...I had never been SOOO close to the rings before! This was not Barnum & Bailey! There was only about 3 feet from us and the lion cage.. http://homeschoolblogger.com/WLCPictures1/226874/ ..which was really cool until we saw them taking it down and saw the only thing holding it together was plastic ties ... by then the tigers and lion were gone but still...eeeck! There were many differant acts...so hard to watch all three rings...most of the acts there were juggling things and or people...then came a trapeze act....No Net Either...he did a head stand , With NO hands, just balancing on his noggin!!!...on this little bitty bar while it was swinging wildly...that stuff never bothers me when I know there is a net...then a girl on a round circle trapeze bar and one on silk ropes...all with no net...one guy looking like the dad was sporting a broken arm and watching on the sidelines...I got so scared the one time ... I screamed so hard I almost fell off the fancy seating and on top of Victor...Hubby said they just do that stuff on purpose to get a rise out of the crowd...but I'm sorry even the guys below doing the "catching" where hollering...the Elephants were magnific http://homeschoolblogger.com/WLCPictures1/226881/ to be so close to them was way past cool. And of course no show is complete without a trained dog act they were sweet. You might be wondering why I didn't mention the clowns yet...well they were there but my kids do better at home on a school day...so there I mentioned them ... We were still cold when we got home after the long ride with the heat on high but we did have fun going to a Real Circus |

I may get hooked on this class stuff! Just have to find the people to teach them, lol. We had just as much fun this time as the time before. The greatest part is meeting all the new people! Networking is so important in homeschooling. And the kids always get along with each other and so polite and caring with each other. The neatest part is the seeds of interest in Native American History have been planted. And "Ms.Turtle" is so great with the kids! They really concect with her every time! Please view new class photos below. |

note in a way, for me ... I had a blast organizing the classes and meeting all my new homeschooling friends! In addition, as if the early winter weather were not bad enough so with it comes an end to our Native American Classes. Ms. Turtle pulled out all the stops for these classes! She welcomed families into her home/museum and treated us as royal family members. We got to see things most only see in books. We learned things that noone prints in the "usual" schoolbooks. Of all the stories she told the children (and adults) unanimously the favorite was … Her “Scalping Knife” … only used by Native Americans to take the pony tail on the person to humiliate them … well the case to this knife has actual hair on it
too funny huh?
