A Beautiful Day for a Bike Ride

After breakfast and morning chores are done, school begins.

Our morning moved along right on schedule and we had a

beautiful spring day with temperatures heading to the 70's.

Just before lunch we headed out for a bike ride. I can't

believe how out of shape you get after a long winter.

Both boys are in Jr. Master Gardener program and have

started seeds indoors for their in town garden plot with the

group. We also bought a bunch of seeds last weekend to

start indoors for our home garden; and many new vegetables

will be added this year like lettuce, spinach, and turnips.

A couple of new beds have been tilled for a cold crop bead

and a strawberry patch (yum!). The rhubarb has already

started coming up, too!

Spring has Sprung!

I finally got my coffee!! ...And they even granted me a birthday week!! The gardens sound wonderful-- anything involving sunshine sounds wonderful. Would you believe it?!! It's still raining here! I think it's been about 21 days of straight rain. I planned on getting our gardens put in this month-- but I guess instead we'll be building an ark!

Oh does that ever give me spring fever! I want a gardne so bad! My Aunt sent me some Super Italian Paste tomato seeds last fall, and I just called her last night to find out when to start them. She said she's ready to start hers so guess I better be getting some dirt!
