Daddy...I need You!

Oh daddy,

I fell down and I need your help. 

 I skinned my knee today and it is red, raw, bruised and swollen. 

Others are trying to come at me with vinegar in their hands and honey in their voices. 

 I am in a ball trying not to hear their lies. 

My heart is crying out to the one who will save me, the only one I can trust. 

Please, daddy, I need you today. 

I need you to pick me up and carry me into your arms. 

I need you to rock me back and forth. 

I know in your arms I don’t have anything to worry about; can totally trust you with my every being. 

 I know you aren’t going to judge, mock or hurt me in any way. 

Only in your arms I feel safe and know that your love is unconditional. 

I do not have to try and prove anything; you are always there when I need you. 

A heavy weight is one me right now, crushing me.  I can’t breathe.  Oh, daddy I need you!
