I am so so so sorry for not writing this whole summer but I have tried to write everything that has happened this summer in this post ……………………… Wow, I have so much to tell you all. So much has happened this summer. It will take me a while to blog it all. Well, let's see, where should I start??? At the beginning of the summer (I think it was just after my Bed Room post) my cousins came out for two weeks. That was fun, but I will just say that we kind of got a little sick of each other. After that, my parents decided that they would start looking at homes on a really big lake that is about two hours away. We rented a cabin last summer for two summers. So this summer we still had the cottage, but my parents wanted to look for something to maybe buy so we could come there a lot every summer. Well, my dad had a realtor send pictures of homes for sale on the lake. There was about five that we liked and could hold our big family. So one weekend we went and looked at houses for sale. It turned out that the house that my dad and I liked from the pictures was really cute!!! It was decorated to the "T" and it was big. Five bedrooms, two bathrooms with showers, one with a tub/shower, and one small bath room downstairs, a big living room, big kitchen, and a dining room. Plus, it was right on the water. The house was perfect for our family! I don’t know when my parents decided to buy it but it didn’t take long. We were moved in by the 3rd of July. The night before we came to the lake, we all decided to go get some ice cream at Oberweisse with Matt and Kristy. Then we decided we needed to get stuff from Target for the new lake house, but it was closed. So we went to Wall-Mart. ” Man” was that a crazy trip, one to remember for life, and also something to blog about. My dad grabbed four carts and my sister-in-law is like, your joking right ( she’s just getting use to the crazy LaFaivre family). We ended up with seven carts and it was kind of funny and fun because the whole family was all over the store and we would see this person here and pass that person there. I got the job of sorting everything when we got home (I love to sort and organize things). Well, when you got everyone going in different directions, and of course we didn’t have a list of what everyone should get, you get a lot of the same stuff. I’ll tell you one thing, we have got a couple years worth of toothpaste! =) Well, anyway that week was a lot of fun!!! On the 4th of July we took my dad’s big cruiser out and watched fire works with some friends. Best fire works that we had ever seen. Another thing that was cool was that there was so many boats out there that you could walk across the lake on boats and it’s a big lake!!! My brother got his appendix taken out this summer. That was kinda scary!!!!!! Matt had the same problem happen to him last year but he chose to not take it out. So our whole family prayed for him that night and he didn’t have another problem until a couple of weeks ago. He was in so much pain that he decided that the best thing was to have it taken out. Let’s see, that was the major things that happened this summer……. My dad bought my brother Matt a Reimer Weimer, my brother's all time favorite dog. He is so so so cute!!! He’s like a hound dog, but way cuter, and he’s got beautiful baby blue eyes. Plus, he is the sweetest thing!!! As long as I am writing about animals I will tell you about my new pet. I finally got my kitty. I named her SHANIA but my family talked me into naming her P.J. because she looks like she is wearing pajamas. Well, I think that’s it. I guess my next job is posting pics of the summer………… |
