Ok Well, We Did It Again..........
|
For more "Show and Tells" go to .....
We went to "TSC"
We had bought a little paddle boat last time we were there, and they where supposed to deliver it, but they never came. So we decided we better check on it.....
Well, we were walking around the store again and we went by where the chickens were ....
There were the cutest DUCKS!!!!!!!!!
We showed my dad and he said we could get four. Josh, Ruthie, Jacob, and me all picked out one.
They are living with the chickens for now. When they get older we are going to build them a shelter on the island.
As they grow, they will turn into white ducks, but they won't be able to fly, we've been told. They can stand the cold winters we get,
So they sound like really good ducks.
The guy there told us that since they will kinda resemble a swan, they will keep the geese away.. Which is really really good!!
Well, my mom and I went to Shipawana on Tuesday. It was a lot of fun and I will write about it on Sat if I get a chance... Whenever I do write about it I will tell you what other farm animal we bought while we where there.......

Those are some cute ducks. I don't think I have ever seen a baby black duck before. I love that slideshow you have posted in your sidebar.

What a wonderful treat! Your dad must be sweet.
Regarding Sonic...when we lived in Illinois, we had the same problem. There were no Sonics there either, and no one even knew what we were talking about when we wanted to get a cherry limeade or something similar. I remember going to Dairy Queen when we first moved there and got the weirdest looks when I asked if they had cherry limeades. I guess it is more of a western phenomenon.

The pictures are great! We've just begun our first adventure with chickens. Sond slike that's old news for you guys. I can't wait to read more about your ducks, though. We have a huge flock of mallards that live down the street at the lake behind the library but nothing white. Those are the first yellow baby ducks I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Rachel!
I finally managed to get a quick template up...I'm not sure if you'll want it or not (it's still a bit rough), but you can see it by going here...

The header needs fixing...if you like the template, you can let me know what you want it to say and I'll customize it. But whatever you do, don't feel like you HAVE to use it! :-D

Oh, how sweet!!! I've always wanted ducks!!! Once Mom ACCIDENTLY hit a mother duck. So mom grabbed the little dark brown babies and put them in our van. They were running all over the van while she drove home, and we got to keep them for a day. Then we gave them to a lady who has had ducks before and has a nice pond. That was fun, but the poor duckies!!
God Bless,
Amber
