Spontaneous

Guess what !!!

We got more pets, to be exact, 18 more pets.  Before I tell you what kind of animals we got, I am going to tell you how we went about getting them................

Last Sat I got home from a sleep over at around 1:00 or something like that. My friends and I went riding and had a lot of fun. We rode in saddles around the trails, but before they went home we rode a little bit bare back. Bare back is my favorite way to ride!!!!!!! So much fun!!
 My friends and I

Well, anyway I'll get on with my day.....

They went home after that, and my family
then went out to eat with my brother and his wife.

So after that we went to "TSC" cause my dad needed some work boots. So when we were in there we were all looking around cause it's a really fun store to look at every thing in there.

So as we are looking around, we see that they have Chickens for sale.
They are so so so cute.
We showed my dad and he started talking to the guy that was helping us.
And what do you know.......

My cat thinking we brought dinner for him for a month!!
We come home with a chicken coop in the back of our truck, things for the chickens and the coop, and 18 baby chickens!!!! When we left our house a couple of hours ago we had no idea that we would be coming home with chickens!!!!!!
My brother and his wife had gone home and were in their yard playing with their dogs when we got home. We were driving down our drive way when my brother looked at us. His mouth dropped and he started to point and said,
"Is that a a Chick Chicken coop?"
I think he was more surprised than us that we had bought chickens.

Our family is extremely spontaneous!!!!!
As you can tell........

Well, the chickens are doing great, growing fast, but doing good.

So if any of you have any suggestions on rasing chickens, we would greatly appreciate it !!!! Considering the fact that we have no idea how to raise them.......
So that's one of the things that is new around here...
There's a couple more things that I am going to blog about that are new, but this is the most recent and the most interesting.

A kitty from a shelter

Posted in Pets

I got this kitty from the shelter. It was gray and had a little bit of tan. It also had two or three little spots of white. I adopted it at nine in the morning on Jan, 3, 07 with my Mom. We brought her home and put her in this thing that we have for my dog, Jack. It is kinda like a tent. We put her litter box, food, water, milk, and a towel for her to lay on, in the tent with her. So when I was walking around with her, Josh (my little brother, 11) went outside to let in my dogs, and my cat, Simba, sneaked in and went into the kitties tent. Simba drank her milk. A few hours later the lady called from the pound and said that one of the kitties that was in the cage with the kitty that I adopted had a deathly disease. It was something like AIDS, but is only and very contagious to cats. If a cat does have this, there is no cure and its best to put it down so it doesn't suffer.

Now that my cat has been exposed to this, we are going to take Simba to the vet. He did have a vaccine for it, though, but they said that it's a rare chance that he still could have gotten it. The vet told us to bring Simba back in a month cause it wouldn't show up for a while. I feel horrible that I didn't remember that a cat taken from a shelter could possibly be carrying a disease, and you shouldn't have them around other animals until they've been checked by your vet.  So, if he dies it's my fault and it is the Lord's will. I guess all I can do is pray.
Here is Simba when he was a little I will try to get a more resent picture of him posted later.
The cat that is really dark color is my uncle Dave's cat, Tiger. I gave him that cat.
