Hello! Welcome to the Young Writers Lounge. Our names are Kylie and Ashley. We started this blog because we both like to write, and we knew that other kids & teens liked to as well. Our goal in this blog is that you would be encouraged and perhaps improve in your writing. Each week we shall have a writing assignment. You may be asked to write a story about a certain topic, or perhaps continue a "base" sentence or paragraph. We will also have poetry and other writing styles as well. You can submit your stories and whatnot by posting them on your blog, and then post a comment with the link. At the end of the week we'll read each others' stories to see how different they are. This is not any competition; we desire it to be a fun and healthy way to improve your writing skills. As it says in Proverbs 27:17 ~ "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." We hope that you will enjoy participating in the activities here.

This looks like it should be really good. I love to write stories. I am currently writing one on my blog and would like to have something to help me with my writing. Have you seen Mrs. Marlow's AKA (skmarlow, susyscribbles, andicarter) writing course. I have already taken it and it was really good. I will be sure to post about this on my blog. You can count me in.

This blog looks great! (The background looks rather familiar... *grin*) I would love to participate in the writing challenges, although I'm sure I'll end up missing some. I'll do my best!

This does sound like a really neat and fun thing to do, and I would love to be a part of it, if I could. I won't be able to blog very often in the next few months, but if I get around to it, I would love to do the assignments. Thank you very much for the invitation!
