Spider Web Dessert

We are having so much fun studying spiders! Today we made a spider web dessert. We simply put Chocolate Double Cookie Crunch ice cream (yum!) in a bowl and drizzled marshmallow topping over the ice cream to make our spider webs. It was messy which means it was a lot of fun and delicious!

I'd like to also take a few minutes to encourage you to hop over to Melissa's blog, In the Sparrow's Nest. She not only has a Charlotte Mason Blog Carnival going on, but also posted a great post titled A Divine Duty just under the carnival post. She reminds us of what really matters with homeschooling...and (reminder to self) it's not keeping up with the public school systems!

I have had so much fun looking over your last several posts about all the fun you've had playing....um....I mean learning! What fun. I loved your spider study ideas. It looks like they were all having a great time in everything they were learning. And, or course, when Mr. T is playing (lol~I have no idea how to spell his name!), you've just got to stop and dance.
All of the things you've spent time on, with books or not, have been wonderful learning experiences.
We're headed out tomorrow to go camping for 3 or 4 nights.

Hello and welcome to my place! I am a homeschooling mom of four spunky, rarely quiet, fun kids ages 11, 9, 6, and 3. We are traveling down this winding road of living and learning...what an adventure! I find great encouragement from Zephaniah 3:17, "The Lord your God is with you. He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you. He will quiet you with His love. He will rejoice over you with singing." I think Zephaniah 3:17 perfectly sums up who God is and how He feels about each of us. I never want to move away from the Truth this verse speaks…so I’ve made it my permanent address.
