I found this video on another blog by Carla Anne Corey, Married Single Moms. She also had some really great ideas for incorporating chores and a chore chart for the kids...including doing the laundry. I have a chore chart, but I think I will be adopting Carla Anne's ideas very, very soon. Check it out for your self!
While I am here, I'd like to share that my article for January's Marriage from a Distance column at Take Root and Write will post tomorrow (1/12). (Note: We had a little techniqual problem with my article and it will run tomorrow, Jan 13.) While you're there, you can read an interview I did with Carla Anne Corey last month. She is a jewel of a lady!
You did a great job with your Jan. article. I think your thoughts on how to encourage the spouse not usually in the primary child care/home management role when they do help are of value to any couple, whether it's a MFAD couple of not. :) Jennifer
Hi Jennifer, I just read your article at Take Root and Write, simply wonderful. I love how you addressed the pride issue, all so true, yet convicting.
Regarding your shirt folding video, entertaining but this old dog isn't up to any new tricks right now :-).
Blessings and hope you guys are having a great school week!

Welcome to 317 Zephaniah Way! Stay for a spell and make yourself at home. We are traveling down this winding road of living and learning...what an adventure! I find great encouragement from Zephaniah 3:17, "The Lord your God is with you. He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you. He will quiet you with His love. He will rejoice over you with singing." I think Zephaniah 3:17 perfectly sums up who God is and how He feels about each of us. I never want to move away from the Truth this verse speaks…so I’ve made it my permanent address.
