Can blogging influence the 9th circuit?

I follow quite a few legal-blogs, and today this post appeared.  It has me thinking about the incredible potential for blogs...And I thought we were just here to exercise our first ammendment rights to free speech!

 

Consider this 9th circuit court decision where on page six, you find a dissent that includes a quote from this blog.

hey, thanks for this. Tres interessant (that's why I linked to you). Anyway, I like blogging. There are all kinds of things I wouldn't normally read or pick up on, legal things being one of them.
