Works for Me Wednesday - scrambled eggs

I love eggs for breakfast.  But, I do NOT like washing the "egg pan."  There's always egg dried and/or burnt to the pan and it seems impossible to get clean without a lot of work.

So, one day I was making waffles and eggs for breakfast, and I decided to try pouring the scrambled eggs into the waffle iron.  VOILA!  "Egg waffles!"  No more burnt egg pan to wash, and they eat like a slice of toast!

Works for me!

What a clever idea! I, too, LOATHE cleaning the egg pan. Everyone eats egggs in the a.m....sometimes at different times, so I have to wash the pan 3 times! But, this is very clever :) Thanks for sharing.

April 25, 2007 - Layered eggs?

I wonder if it would work to put in a thin layer of eggs followed by a layer of waffle batter? Hmmm...shall have to try this...

Well! how cool is that;)

I don't mind the egg pan cause I add cheese, garlic, veggies;) hard to put that in the waffle maker (cheese on a waffle maker is probably worse than the egg pan;))

I dont know. I add "stuff" to my eggs too. I vaguely remember adding cheese once (my 8yo showed great improvements when I removed cheese (casein) and gluten from her diet so I didnt' do this often enough to remember with clarity). But I never had the eggs stick, even when I did add other stuff.

Maybe I'd add the cheese on top after they were cooked? It was so rare I just can't recall. Maybe I'll pull out the waffle iron tomorrow and try it with the cheese and let you know how well my memory is working!

That is a wicked awesome idea- I think I will try this with some crumbled bacon and green onions in the egg! I think the cheese might be better after they are done...
