June 1, 2006 - The Next C.H.C.H. CHALLENGE...
UPDATE: I'm sorry to say that I won't be organizing the CHCHC this year... please see my post at DANDELION SEEDS for explanation. The Clean Heart, Clean Home Challenge still can be done, and please feel free to email me if you have any questions. The CHCHC Organizer will eventually be revised, and if you'd like to be notified when it's done, please subscribe on my sidebar for this blog.
ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE?
The Clean Heart, Clean Home Challenge is for those who have fallen behind and are overwhelmed, those who are in the "spring cleaning" mode, and those who may have a clean house at first glance… until you open up the drawers and closets! If you fall into any of these categories, then this challenge is for you!
A word of caution before you begin… this is not for the faint of heart. This challenge doesn't just include the cleanliness of your home… but digs down deep and deals with the cleanliness of your heart as well, for out of our mouth the heart speaks (Luke 6:45).
Having our homes in order and running smoothly is always a good feeling… but having our hearts right with the Lord, who is the Creator of order, is even more satisfying. Join The Clean Heart, Clean Home Challenge as we clean things up in our homes… inside and out!
The next Clean Heart, Clean Home Challenge will beginSunday, April 1st, 2007! (Yes, it's on April Fool's Day intentionally! That way, when you tell people that you're getting your home together, there's really no pressure since they'll think you're fooling them!) Now, I know this may sound like "forever" away, but it will be here before we know it, so let's get ready by getting our homes in running order so we won't be overwhelmed with the deep cleaning that the challenge brings forth.
In order for The Clean Heart, Clean Home Challenge to be most effective, there are some things that will be helpful for you to get done BEFORE hand. They include:
making a schedule for your home (and implementing it!)
daily upkeep
de-cluttering as much as possible
continual focus on the Lord
Until the next official CHCHC, concentrate on the above list to get your home in "working order" and ready for the next challenge. Some helpful tips are found in "STEPPING TOWARD A CLEAN HEART AND HOME". If you'd like, you can be notified when a post is made so you won't miss anything. Just click on the following link: A CLEAN HEART BLOG NOTIFICATION
Also, please feel free to spread the word or put The Clean Heart, Clean Home Challenge button on your site (linking it back to this blog). There's enough time to ask women in your area to join you as well to help in being accountable to the challenge as well as encouragement. You may want to mention it to other ladies in your church as well. The more the merrier (and cleaner)!
May the Lord bless us all as we seek to clean our hearts and homes for His glory!
I turned on my computer -had a little quiet time- forgot what I went on the internet for -----but now I know-----There You were. I need this so badly, where do I start? I am contacting you on the 11th. I tried to sign up but to no avail the info kept repeating itself. I do hope to get on your blog. Need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me know. ;) I've got my binder ready and just need to get dividers and purchase a cleaning kit. I saw your first boot camp post today, but no second one... do you just do a bunch of decluttering for Boot Camp? Then I saw your 'Mother's Prayer' and prayed that for today... and I came over to this site to get the first steps for the Clean Heart Challenge. I have a schedule written out already, so today I will focus on making the Lord 1st, keeping my home in order, following our schedule, and cleaning up clutter... in between school and cooking of course!
Let me know if you are still doing the April 07 thing. If not, I'll just do it on my own since I already have it printed out. :)
I told you I would eventually get around to it. (A year later, of course!)
