June 2, 2006 - WEEK 12: Strength to Bring the House Down
Then Samson called to the Lord, saying, “O Lord God, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray...” Judges 16:28 (NKJV)
Does your state of disarray feel like it’s weighing you down? Does it feel as if you’re being pressed? Do you feel overwhelmed and as if it’s just too big to conquer? Think of Samson. He was a mere man… no matter how much he could “bench” he still knew he needed God for the strength to bring that temple down. He called on the Lord for help. God heard his cry and gave Samson the strength he needed for the task at hand.
God will give you strength too, whether it’s physical or emotional, for the task that lies ahead of you. No matter how overwhelming it may seem, have faith and know that God will give you the strength you need. Samson brought the house down… literally. That’s a pretty big, and unbelievable task... but only for an unbeliever.
