August 10, 2006 - Lost in a Laudry Pile...
My apologies to everyone for being gone... I have a good excuse... well, at least one that you'll all understand. It confirms one of my greatest fears... I'd always wondered, but now I know... it IS possible to get lost in the laundry pile!!!!
I've finally made it out, however, and I'm back to help you feel better about your messes by telling you about mine... Seriously... I hope you're all doing well, and that you're dealing with the issues of your heart. "Create in Me a Clean Heart" Devotional for the Disorganized is soon to be ready for purchase in a journal format. I've been working on it in my freetime (said extremely sarcastically).
Anway... may the Lord bless your heart today. Now go pick up a sock...
I finally joined the forum and want to "jump on the bandwagon". I know I am a little late -- but that is my style, anyway, so I am used to "missing the beginning". Isn't that a terrible thing to have to admit? Well, that WAS my style. Today is a new day -- I am no longer the "late girl". :o) I will be the "early girl" (not too early, of course) or "on time girl" from now on.
I just went down to my basement and I, too, am stuck at the bottom of Mount Laundry. I started the first load of the day and plan to get through the majority of it by bed time. If you peek at my blog you will see that I have already begun to find my way out of the Land of Disaster. ;o)
Thanks for being such a blessing to so many -- with your Clean Heart Clean Home challenge and such. I am excited to be a part of it!!
The problem is that when I just get over that mountain - I find another one, and another one and another one and ...well you get the picture! I'm not doing too great at the challenge at the moment, we just keep going off on short trips and DH keeps taking days off for us to go out as a family before his new college year starts and we don't see him for days on end again! Just decided that I needed to look at priorities and see that time together was more important than the clean house right now! (No darling, we can't take the kids on a surprise picnic today because my schedule says that I have to detail the bathroom today! Or sorry Berlin will just have to wait, this is my week to get to grips with the Kitchen! Just sounds a bit rediculous!!!!) I'm still working on the clean heart bit and have my binder all ready to start the clean home again when 'normal' life resumes in the autumn. I'm sure no one is going to be upset with me for this - I guess I just felt the need to 'fess up and explain!! They say that comfession is good for the soul!
I agree completely!!! Keep working on your heart and the home will wait!!! Family always comes first... isn't it tough finding a "healthy" balance though? I find I struggle maintaining when things are going on. That's why I made a Daily Routine list... to help out a little reminding me what needs to get done!
Have fun dear and enjoy those moments!!!
Bless your heart and home,
Amy
You've really been a blessing to me! I haven't posted but haven't had a lot of time! I've been lost on Clutter Island and buried on Mount Laundry too. I'm trying to do a bit at a time so I can start in earnest with the CHCH challenge--behind as usual.
Thanks for all you do!
