A Providential Package
If you all remember from this post, I recently ordered two books from Vision Forum that I was exceptionally excited about. I waited all week for them to arrive and the UPS knock came Friday afternoon at about 4:35.
The girls and I collected our package and I immediately noticed that it felt awful light to even contain one book, much less two. Upon opening it, I discovered that it contained no books at all, but instead a set of CDs. The packing slip belonged to a gentleman in California, and I was deeply disappointed. Not only had I not recieved the books I ordered, I would now have to go through the irritating act of the paperwork and parceling up to mail it back and then start the wait again for my books. If you all know me, you understand my completely irrational hatred of post offices and stamps.
The packing slip indicated that the company was closed from 5PM on Friday until Monday morning, so I went ahead and rushed to the phone to at least get it all started and let them know what had happened. I was within minutes of their closing time, and felt pretty lucky to get anyone on the phone, much less an extraordinarily kind guy.
After I explained what happened, he asked a few questions, gathered some tracking numbers, and told me that my books would be shipped Monday with an expected arrival of Wednesday. He also said a new package would be shipped out for the gentleman on Monday, and told me to keep the CDs as a gift. Whoot! Escaped the post office! But there's more...
After hanging up the phone, I went to see what exactly I had just been given, and it is the CD set on daughters that I had placed on a wishlist of mine not very long ago as something I dearly wanted! Talk about feeling extraordinarily blessed! =)
Two quick points here. I may cover them more indepth in a later post, but they're worth hitting on now:
- I finished my first knitting project last night! Yay! I made Summer a change purse, and I'm fairly excited to have actually DONE something with all that practice. ;)
- I did some additional research on who those people were
exactly running that seminar, and while they have worked exceptionally
hard to disguise themselves and cover past tracks, they have still left
a few thumbprints around the internet. While I will not say
specifically here what or who they are, suffice it to say that I am so
grateful for the Holy Spirit's guidance in not going there again or
engaging my family there. Thanks for everyone's support who told me to
listen to that....

Hey Becca,
I know how you feel. I sell Avon and I get so irritated when they send me the wrong products or too many of one thing or something in my order will not be shipped to me until another time, arghh...... and then I have to pack them up, and take them down to the post office. It does happen quite a bit. I love the products so I can't complain too much, but it can be a hassle.
I am glad you will be getting your books on Wednesday.
