Praying For Gracie
*Update Below*
I came across this (hat tip: Carmon) and followed it to the baby Gracie's site. Tuesday's entry says this:
TUESDAY, MARCH 21, 2006 02:59 PM, CST
Today is, obviously, the Thursday they are referring to. Please pray
for this young family (Gracie is their first child) through this.Gracie was not able to come off of ECMO today ... she crashed shortly after the attempt. Gracie will get one more chance on Thursday when they will pull her off life support for the final time ...
We are in a bit
of shock, but we have to prepare ourselves and say goodbye to Gracie in
these final two days that we might have left with her ... the thought
is too unbearable ...
UPDATE
Gracie's journal was updated this afternoon.
THURSDAY, MARCH 23, 2006 12:24 PM, CST
Oh, how my heart hurts for this
family! Please continue to include them in your prayers and consider
leaving them a note via their site's guestbook or email.
While her mommy and daddy were holding her, Gracie peacefully passed
into the Lord's presence at 12 PM today.

....She Said Snarkily
Snarkily. The lady on the news just referenced a tone of an editorial as "snarky". Bill O'Reilly may own the term "pithy" but that's okay. "Snarkily" is the verbage of the future. I wonder how soon before they start dubbing moments of unrest as "kerfluffles"? ;)
Lang is still hobbling haphazardly around the house, spending a large majority of his time attempting to fall down the stairs. He's had a few moments of near success, but I've so far managed to derail his plan. His ankle and foot are not quite behaving the way the ER doctor indicated they should be by 3 days after the injury, so I'm contemplating making a pediatrician appointment. I really need a digital camera so you all could see our Lionheart chicken hopping from point A to point B....
As I'm sure the rest of the nation is, we're watching the New Orleans situation closely. It feels so strange to think that all of this is happening within the same state that we are in. Our lives remained completely untouched (save for some additional traffic from the evacuees) while others have lost everything. We will be participating in local support efforts, and hope everyone will join with us in prayer for those whose lives have been forever affected by Hurricane Katrina.
