 Paul
and Gena Suarez are the Publishers of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine,
the magazine for homeschool families. Four years into this successful publication,
they noticed a need for an easy-to-use, FREE, online community where homeschool
moms, dads, kids and grandparents could communicate, share ideas and pictures,
and enter into educational discussions. Within the first three days of the birth
of HSB, the site enjoyed over 1,400 page views. The first calendar month (June,
2005) of its existence, HSB hosted over 30,000 visits (many repeat visitors). The
community was taking hold. The second calendar month increased its visitors to 60,000
- it doubled in one month. As of 2006, an average month's page views numbers three to
four million! 2007 was a phenomenal year as our page views neared five million each
month. And, so far, in the first quarter of 2008, we have almost 400,000 unique
visitors averaging over nine million page views each month.
Our
family has homeschooled our four children since birth.  We
are a social, always-learning, typical homeschooling family - perhaps somewhat

 Tia Linschied is the Senior Editor for HomeschoolBlogger. She and her husband, Todd, have four beautiful children. They have homeschooled for thirteen years. As Senior Editor Tia helps to keep everyone informed of what is happening with HomeschoolBlogger and The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, on The Company Porch.
Tia is also the author of Adoption Options, and manages The Front Porch Team who writes weekly articles on various subjects of interest to homeschoolers and mothers.

 Kris Price wears many hats here at HSB! She works as Assistant to the Publishers and maintains the templates of Gena Suarez, Jen Igarashi, and the Company Porch.  Kate Kessler Kate Kessler is the Product Reviews Manager for The Old Schoolhouse Magazine. She compiles and edits the Lab section of the magazine as well as posts some of her favorite picks on her personal blog, Under the Sky. She has been married to her husband and best friend, Mark, for 15 years and they have five beautiful children. They have always homeschooled. They have two cats, a dog, and reside in the Sacramento, California area. She loves to chat curriculum and is happy to answer questions and help fellow homeschool moms in their search for what works best in their homeschools. Come say hello!
