Prayers Please
|
Would you all please pray for a dear friend Tracy and her family. I mentioned her in a post not to long ago. She is pregnant and developed high blood pressure, and was told that baby had a heart issue. Well, they had an appt with the baby heart doctor today and didn't get good news. Baby has
Ebstein's Malformation of the Tricuspid ValveIts looking very bad. Baby's heart is enlarged and if keeps going it will copromise the lungs and their function. If he makes it he will need major sergery and be a very sick little boy, spending time in the NICU. Please lift this family up in prayer, they sure need it. I am sure I am missing something, but you all get the idea. Thanks! |

School Time
|
We have started school with the girls. Every day, Sunday through Thursday we do school. Its usually an hour at the table. Both of the girls love doing school. We have a shelf full of wonderful just school stuff. Puzzles, color and shape matching games, flash cards, dry erase place mats. Playdough and our work books and writing tablets. We do a family Bible reading in the evening and we signed Clara up for Book It. They have a program for home schoolers. She has to do her school and read with Mama or Daddy for 30 mins a day, more then what we already do. She LOVES it, and gets her first pizza this pay day! :) School days: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Bowling at the Feast
|
We love to bowl. And while Aaron and I arnt ANY good....well, Aaron is better then I am, Unless I have the gutters guard up, we love to go. One of the group activities was bowling. Bowling in Canada is a bit different then in the states. There are only 5 pins and the ball is much smaller, with no finger holes. They only weight in the 3 lb range, and you just roll them down underhanded. It sure was fun! Here are some pictures: |

![]() Outside my window... night time. Leaves falling off trees. They just died this year, it got cold so early, they didn't have a chance to change much. Kind of a bummer. I am thinking... how much the basset needs a bath. YuCK! she rolled in something odifferious. Oh joy! I am thankful for... A helpful husband as he tried to help while I take it easy. I am remembering... things from when I messed up my knee before...so much info. I am going... to take drink some elderberry juice to help ward off a cold. I am reading...Bible: Rev and Jer., The Post Card, Beverly Lewis. I am hoping... my knee heals so we dont have to go to plan B. On my mind... Dinner. Breakfast tonight. Turkey sasuage and egg tacos and OJ Noticing that... Everyone is so easly influanced by the media. People need to learn to think for them selves! From the kitchen... beans soaking for chili tomorrow and rice crispy treats. Why dont I make those more often. EVERYONE loves them and they are so cheap. :) Around the house... a mess. We are trying to do a better job at training the girls to respect things, such as their toys. One of my favorite things...Other then baby kisses and hugs, watching a Jane Austen (thanks Mom and Mandi) and working on a quilt. Kid cuteness... the girls playing doctor and fixing each other. And how sweet and willing they are, even when Mama asked them to eat raw garlic. Flora "Not bad" after eating hers. Andrew and his love for his sisters. |

![]() Lev 23:34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. Lev 23:35 On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. Lev 23:36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein. Our day
|
Our day started out kind of crazy. Aaron had a call right before bed last night, leaving him getting into bed at about 1:30 in the morning. We were up late making salsa and hot sauce. He got another call this morning at 7, and the girls woke up at the time. I got them some granola and yogurt for breakfast and curled up on the couch with a blanket hoping to doze a little bit. Didnt happen. Flora informed me she had gone poo. She sure did, and because she cant stay still it was all over the couch, and floor. YUCK! I got some hot water and started soaking the spots and then washed her up. Went out to the shed and got the carpet cleaner. At this time, Andrew woke up, and because I didnt want him in the mess, he stayed in bed, not at all happy. After it was cleaned, and the kids were settled and Andrew fed Aaron was home. He got home and informed me he couldn't find is radio. Keep in mind these are PRICEY (!) and so we went crazy looking for it. EVERYWHERE. No where to be found. Oh no! We kept looking for a while in come pretty strange places. Like on the roof of the shed, in the chicken pen (just incase it fall off when he climbed in to get eggs).....no where. Then we decided to look under the couch cusions...you would think it would be one of the first places we look. haha, it was there. We both breath a sigh of relief and then had a cup of coffee and ate. This afternoon has been lovley, While Aaron worked on the shed (last final things!) I harvested all our carrots and dug some potatoes for dinner. Flora and Andrew helping me. It hasnt been hot and we got a little rain this morning so everything smelled fresh. Dinner tonight: Home grown beef roast Carrots Potatoes Everything was grown in this area, we buy beef from a friend in this area. Yummy! Tonight I am canning the salsa and hot sauce. I wanted to this morning, but, well...that didnt happen! :) I am also planning our menu for the Feast. Lunches are going to be Mac and Cheese, Sammies and other simple things that are quick and easy. Breakfast will be oatmeal, eggs and fruit. Dinners I am going to have fun with.. The Church has a couple meals planned as a group and We will eat with everyone in our group that is going most of the time. Although I havnt asked people I am thinking we will do a potluck type dinner most evenings. I will make our tradition of Broc Chedder soup one night, I found a recipe for orange glazed chicken that I am wanting to try. As well as Thai Curry. :) MMM....I am drooling. That what I have right now. We went into town yesterday and got the girls some new dresses, most of their dresses where showing a lot of wear, so while the stuff is in the canner I am tossing all the worn clothing and putting together out fits for the girls. I will just pack them now, and so the same for Andrew tomorrow. Trumpets is almost here! I hope you all have a wonderful one! |
