Millie the Basset
We have welcomed into our family a new dog. We have been talking about getting another dog for a while, since Neio got hit by a car this winter. The main reason we wanted to is because Flora is afraid of big dogs. This has happened after Bow, who is still very much a puppy, knocked her down a couple times. So we got to thinking...maybe we need to adopt another puppy so she can grow with it....getting used to size and such. We did this with Clara and Bow, and the bond between Clara and Bow is strong. We decided we didnt want to deal with a puppy, the training and hypperness. So we started talking a mid size, older dog. Something that Flora isnt afraid of. I was on craigslist.org looking at the pets and ran across Millie. We went up to meet her and see how Flora did and she is perfect! Flora loves her and Millie is great with the kids. Her before-family had 2 young kids one with a disability, so she is VERY paitent and loving. She wants to be where ever her kids are. We tucked the girls into bed one night to find she had snuck in and make herself at home on Clara's bed.

She is almost 8 years old and is a little on the plump side. Love to go for car rides, infact thinks that when ever the car leaves she should be in it. Even for Aaron's calls. Loves cushy thing, and will be more then happy to take the couch if she sneaks inside. Which she is also good at (she is suppost to stay out side!).  Most importantly, Flora loves her and give her lots of kisses and hugs! Success!

Adorable! I'm so happy for you, and the family here will be jealous! When we left California, we left our dog behind with Terry's folks, and he has since passed away. He was on in years and we knew he didn't have much longer. But we still miss him. And our cat was hit by a car the week after Tabby was born. THAT was really hard. I miss him still to this day. Enjoy Millie King family!! We miss you all!
