Nov. 10, 2007 - Is my homeschool pleasing to God?
At the end of every school day I ask myself the same question...Was our homeschool pleasing to God today? Some days I succeed, but some days I fail miserably. I want every area of my life to be acceptable in God's sight and this is what I strive for daily.
In order for our homeschool to be pleasing to God I must daily remind myself what the ultimate goal is. This goal is different for every family, but for our family the goal is to raise our children to be "Acceptable Unto Thee". For us, it's not important that they attend Harvard, drive around in some fancy expensive car, and make a six figure salary. I want my children's lives to count for God.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
Psalm 19:14

I love what you have written and it is also my heart's desire for my homeschooling to be pleasing to God, along with every other area of my life.

I like what you said, even though I really have nothing to do with teaching homeschool! :-) I think my mom very likely could have written the same thing!
