Nov. 14, 2007 - A Heart of Thanksgiving

It's hard to believe Thanksgiving is almost here already!  This year has gone by so fast.  As I sat down to write this evening I thought of the song 'Count Your Blessings'.

Count your blessings, name them one by one.  Count your many blessings see what God has done.

It never fails.  There is no quicker way to lift your spirits then to start counting your blessings.  We have so much to be thankful for.  Thanksgiving shouldn't be left just for November though.  We need to have a heart of thanksgiving every day. 

I will list a few of the things I am thankful for.  If you would like to, leave a comment and say at least one thing you're thankful for this year. 

Things I'm thankful for:

My salvation, a wonderful loving husband, six beautiful children, a home to live in, clothes to wear, food to eat, a great church, freedom to homeschool, men and women who are willing to fight for our freedom.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise:  be thankful unto him, and bless his name.  For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.             Psalm 100:4-5

I have much to be thankful for.......

Dh, my boys, homeschooling, food, shelter, clothing, hugs, kisses, snuggles, furbabies, and so much more.
