I’m not a baby. I ‘m almost two years old! I don’t need a nap.

NO I don’t want to cuddle with you. Yes, I’ll sit and watch that movie, but no, I don’t need to sit in your lap. No, I don’t want you to hold me.

I know what you’re trying to do, you can’t fool me! You think that if you can pick me up and cuddle me a while, I’ll fall asleep. Well, I won’t, because I don’t need a nap!

I’m just going to play…and play…and play….

A big boy like me plays pretty hard….maybe, Mama, would you hold me a minute (since Papa’s not here)?

You don’t need to make dinner, just hold me. Please?

I know you can’t resist this face, the eyes…the dimples…anything?

You’re a tough one Mom. Is dinner more important than your first born son?

Well alright then, but I think I’ll just lay right down here in the middle of the kitchen floor…with my blanket and binky…boy are those lights bright, I’ll just close my eyes to shut them out…and you know, the sound of that blender could really…put a boy…to…sleep….
