My answer:
"I suppose you will all stay to supper?" he said in his politest unpressing tones.
"Of course!" said Thorin.
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
And I tag three people who read this if I have that many. |

Nov. 16, 2009 Sorry, another short one
I'm afraid this is gonna have to be short again. I will post about an average coputer day soon, but for now I can only say that I got my acceptance letter from Master's. So, that's where I will probably be going to college. I'm sorry if I don't sound very enthusiastic. I don't feel very enthusiastic right now because I have ALOT of school stuff due very soon that I need to do. My 3600+ word paper is due on Friday. And I get my braces off tommorow.

Well, I almost slept last night! My mom says I have the symptoms of that swine flu thing. I say, like I always do when I'm not feeling great, that it is the weather. I don't get sick, I have problems with the weather.

So much happening. But, for the most part it's all in my mind. So, if you're all wanting updates on interesting things around here, I am afraid I can offer but two things. First, last night was the GBT Oktoberfest. That was AMAZING. After my theater class, I went back home from Mr. H's house. Then, two and a half hourse later. I came back and began an afternoon of non-alcoholic German festivities (a hard thing to accomplish as Germans like their beer alot). First, we gathered 'round the piano and sang German songs: two Christmas ones, and two German country love songs. Then we had a dance practice where we learned for the first time some German dances, specifically polkas. Funny, that was the first time we actually had to have a guy sit out. Usually, the girls vastly outnumber the guys. Then, we watched a German movie called Sissi, kind of a chick flick, but I let that slide since it was set in 1853. Then we had a German potluck and then we did more dances and sang and went home. The other interesting thing was a visit to The Master's College in Santa Clarita, CA. My parents said a while back, that the right college would feel like it fit almost right away. Well, that's what I found with Master's. I got to sit in on an upper level Bible class on the epistles of John, by a guy from China whose parents were killed for being Christians. I decided, that I will probably give up the idea of the History major in favor of a Bible major, with the possibility of seminary afterwords. I could mix the two and do a Chruch History major. My mom told me yesterday that we had gotten an email from the admissions counselor from Master's who said that they had received all the parts of my application and a letter was in the mail. The email said the were looking forward to seeing me in the fall. I think that means the letter is an acceptance letter. More on that when I learn more. I'm just trying to keep from letting my hopes get too high.
