The Rumble of the Snow Plow or is that Plough?

Growing up my dad always did our snow removal.  We lived in the middle of the woods off of the main road and he had a truck not only for his carpentry work but also to survive in the winter.   Now, being blessed to have inherited our homestead I have come to the conclusion that we need to buy a plough!

When I moved home to take care of my dad when he became terminally ill, I hired a great guy who would clear our driveway for a reasonable fee of $25.  Then he moved and I have had several different plough guys who charged up to $75 each time they came.  Now I have another bus driver who comes and charges me $50 each time, but he will wait to the end of the storm so he only charges me once.

But still this winter I am going broke as we keep getting snow.  And more snow.  It is falling out there now and we are expected to get ice too.  How I am longing for spring!

And to hear the twitter of the birds and not the rumble of the plough truck!
