Allie's Happenings

Mar. 10, 2008 - SWEET 16!!!

Well it is finally here! My 16th Birthday! I don't really feel different I just turned another year old. It seem like I do that every year- I get so excited that my Birthday is almost here and start counting down. Then after all that excitement, all the presents, all the cake and junk food, I am almost glad it is over!
I didn't used to be like that. When I was younger my mom and dad would also count down with me. They would set papers out saying "10 more days until Ali's 10th Birthday" (If you notice my name is spelled differently. I usually spell my name Allie but when I was younger i would change the spelling of my name like everyday.) Now they just wake me up by slobbering on me and singing Happy Birthday out of tune even though they really can sing well. Then they proceed to hold me down and give me Birthday spankings (which get worse every year because I get older) and "a pinch to grow and inch".
This year I got lucky I got to go to Louisiana for my Birthday! No I shouldn't say that- I really wished that I was home to spend time with all my family, but I did have a lot of fun! My friends from Louisiana actually threw me a surprise birthday party! It was great! Nana baked me a special cake! I was beautiful! Although I knew something was up I was really surprised! I almost peed my pants to be more explanitory. LOL!
I am glad I am home though!

Feb. 28, 2008 - LOUISIANA HERE I COME!!!

Hey~
So my 16th Birthday is coming up YAY!! I know! My mom and I were going over the details of what I should do. Something big but since we are kinda short on money something not to overwhelming. I also want to do something new not what I have done in the past years. I know Picky Picky Picky! =) lol So while mom and I were thinking about it our good friend Kelly called us from Louisiana. Her daughter is getting married on the 15th! And wanted to know if we got the invitation. Before I get into the story too far here is a little background:
A little after my parents were married my daddy recieved a letter asking him to become the youth pastor in Shreveport, Lousiana. After A-lot-a praying he decided it was a great choice. So off we were just me my ma and pops. Soon after we were settled in my momma found out she was pregnate with bubbs AKA bubb- ( I decided to nickname my sibs since everyone else is doing it lol!) but that is off the subject. Anyway we have lots of friends from our church but our best friends from Louisiana are from my mom's work. lol. So that is how we know Kelly.
So after Mom got off the phone she went and talked to my pa. They came up with this scheme: Either we can use the money on my party or we can use the money on airplane tickets to Louisiana!!!! So again after a-lot-a praying i decided to go to louisiana for the the wedding over my birthday and to keep my mom sane keeping Kelly sane as she gives her oldest daughter away!
Anyway we leave in 6 days I can't wait!!!!
Sweet hot, humid, louisiana 16 here i come! lol

In His Hands,
  Allie

Feb. 26, 2008 - ME!!!

Okay so this is officially my first blog!!!! Yay! I know I am excited! So this being my first blog I have decided to sorta tell you about me and my family and my surroundings.
First, Hello it is nice to meet you! LOL
My name is Allie. Some people call me Al, Alex, Allie rose- you can call me whatever you like. I have 2 sibs- Eric-10 and Abby-7.  My Father is a Music Pastor at our church and my Mommy is a home maker but for a little bit more in come she does nails out of our home. My Family is my pride and joy, although I need to get away every once in awhile. I am of course homeschooled although I haven't been all my life as some of you have. I went to public school up to 6th grade and have been homeschooled ever since. At first I didn't like it because I was so used to having that lifestyle but apparently it wasn't working for me. Mom took me out of junior high because for me, it wasn't about learning,  it was about friends, and what they thought about me-not what God wanted or thought of me. Although, I was a so called christian and went to church my whole life.
So right about now I am a Happy 15 and a half year old with a great family and a great church and a great God! Although I have my moments!

In His Hands,
   Allie
