From Cabin to Camelot

Oct. 1, 2008 - Wednesday Afternoon

I've had two "meetings" already this morning.  A "meeting", and we use the term loosely, is a time when I sit down individually with each child, go over any corrections they have made and correct their new work.  I also write out their new assignments for the week and chit-chat about their studies.  Well, as I said, I've gotten 2 of those meetings out of the way and I'm already weary today.  Sometimes I just cry "Uncle" and blog or read for a while.

As of right now; Dad is taking Austin over to Grandma Agee's to mow their lawn, I can hear Kolton  busy on the guitar, I DO hope he's done with his lessons! Karls is well I'm sure on his desktop...

Yup!

Keri made some delicious Pull-Apart Pumpkin Rolls this morning ~ ahhh what a treat, the sweet aroma of Keri's baking!

 And mmmmm... were they good!

Let's see... Katey and Alexis are still working their assignments for the day...

Uhhhh AND eating the pumpkin treats I see!

There was also firewood to get chopped and stacked...

That is one of the "joys" of mountain living... real firewood heat, nothing beats the crackle and smell of a roaring fire on crispy Fall evenings!

Looks like a good start eh?

Hmmm who's that peeking?  KOLTON!  IS YOUR SCHOOLWORK DONE??

There's also White Chili is the crock pot ~ thanks (again!) to Keri's recipes!  Really, stop by and leave her a note about posting recipes!!

It IS almost 4:00 already!  Wow! The days sometimes fly by!

Have a good day!

Hi Shirley,
Your family is so beautiful and talented. They are very respectful and loving. You and Michael are blessed. The pumpkin pull-aparts looked devine! Wish I lived close enough so Suzy and I could drop by for coffee and "danish", or whatever the girls are baking. I'd be happy with a bisquit....and some home made jelly. Yeah, that would hit the spot. Anyway, your blog is always SO informative and beautifully put together. Thank you for that treat. God bless and be with you all. You are all in my prayers nightly. Take care...Patti

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3: 13,14 ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ If the doctrine of Christian union is true, then division and sectarianism are a great and prodigious evil, and therefore ought to be abolished.
