Jul. 18, 2008 A peaceful picture.....
I came across this picture that I took a few weeks ago when we were going up to our 4H campground to do clean up. This is the Olympic Mountains here in Western Washington. This is one of my favorite things about the Pacific Northwest. Thought is was a nice one to share. Have a great day.

Jul. 18, 2008 Friendly encouragement...
It is such a comfort to have friends who can reach out with words of encouragement and remind us where we are to be standing with our faith, my friend Lisa emailed me this morning and gave those comforting reminders to me and since this blog is for me to save my memories I wanted to record this too, :
Good morning Tammy.
This verse came to mind immediately when I read your note:
He will keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee.
I do not even know where it comes from in the Bible, so I think we can assume it is from the Holy Spirit to you! :-)
Also,
Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. (1Peter 5:7)
I am praying for you and just have a real peace about this all with Isaia. You know the truth... God formed this child in your womb and will carry him through for His special purposes. I am so sorry that the doctors, as well-intentioned as they are, have given you any reason to fear or worry for this little one's health. Sometimes I think that in their thoroughness they have made us all worry because of everything that they feel they need to test for or rule out. Please don't get too caught up in all of that... remember who has this child in His almighty hands. You can shine with confidence amongst this because you know that. Don't let Satan wear you down, stay firm in your faith.
I will continue to keep this in prayer and as the Holy Spirit brings things to mind, I will be covering you.
And those who know Your name will put their trust in You,
For You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. Psalm 9:10
In the name of Jehovah-shalom, The Lord is Peace,
Lisa
Thank you Lisa for being a good friend and neighbor!!

Jul. 17, 2008 Retreating to the Lord....
Well as usuall , lately, it seems to take a while for me to find time to post. This is not my intention with this blog. Tonight I am thinking of my Heavenly Father and resting my mind, heart and soul in his his glorious arms.. I feel like I can not go another day without reaffirming that I know he is in control and that I need to completely trust in him and wait and listen for his small gentle nudges and words to guide me. In the past few years I have learned all of this very well and it is always so easy to surrender all my thoughts to him and feel that peace. This day it seems to be more difficult. My mind seems to be 100 steps away from the rest of me and it seem s to be going and going and I can't seem to catch up and slow it down. Here I am with my bouncy baby boy !! He brings such joy to my heart and to our home. Last year we were awaiting his arrival in just a few weeks. My how this year has past. My heart is full of joy when I think of how our family has changed and grown since this little one was created and growing in me. We were so excited to finally be pregnant and then hoping it would start off well, then the Lemonade and green olives were the meal of the day !! Then we came to the point where I had to stay in bed to keep the baby in, then they thought the baby was going to have many deformities, then the Lord moved my placenta and I was able to move around and baby was going to make it , what a joy !! Then the enjoyment of being pregnant with our last baby and then the wait and then the birth and then a Boy!! Wow !! God has been so gracious to us. My little guy (Isaia) today , is not gaining weight well, He is eating all the time, he is nursing only twice a day as per the Dr's, he is drinking formula the rest of the time and has meals and snacks . He is a busy little guy full of happiness and curiosity nearly all the time. But through this all , the charts show he is not thriving. I can not feed him more than I am , he fills himself up, I can not slow him down because he was created to be as busy as his big brother. So all I can do is seek the Lord to show us what is ins tore ahead. We are going to be taking him to Children's hospital probably next week for many tests "to rule things out" . Writing all this down has given me peace and know that if there is anything we can do to help our little guy get better I am more than willing to do. He has recovered well from his pneumonia, although it really hit him hard. Thank you for those prayers. Please pray with me that the test will reveal if there is a problem and if not that we and the Dr's would find peace in whatever there is to know. Please pray that I can find rest. My eyes are so tired and my head is too busy to quiet and with this I will lay it all out to my heavenly Father. and I know my favorite verse from the past few years will guide me through.
Blessings, Tammy
Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning, great is your faithfulness. Lam 3 : 22-23 |

Jul. 3, 2008 Long time no blogging....
Hi there, I have been wanting to update many times but sitting and typing haven't found the top priority. Right now I am one-handing this, so mind any errors!!! I will try to add photos this weekend. We had Katies bday at build a bear afew weeks ago, fun. Then we have actually had nice weather, which took us outside for quite a few days....Today it is raining and down to 65-70. This is good though, with fireworks season upon us, and fire danger really hi, round here.
Mostly, today, I would like prayer for little isaia, he is 11 mo today. He has had a cough for over a week, i took him into Urgent care yesterday, he is wheezy and feverish, they took chest xray on the little guy-he has fluid in right lung, so he is on antibiotics for the first time and we have a nebulizer machine for breathing tx's.
he tossed and turned all night, maybe slept 2 hours. He is so cuddly right now, but it is hard to see this little guy so sickly. Also, the DR we saw, who was amazingly wonderful, is also very concerned about his weight.(birth-7.12, now 16.4) like our pediatrician. We will probably be having blood work soon to make sure allis working right inside!!!!
He is pulling on his ear this morning and had a bit of diarhea (now im concerned about dehyfration) he is still nursing and has been having formula 3 times a day, also. yesterday he didnt keep down the formula, so i havent gave him more I will see howhe does , if no wet diapers might goback in. Our Dr is on vacation this weekthank goodness fdor the urgent care.
We did get a new abbit for KT, will share more later.
I need coffee , today !!!
luv and hugs

Jun. 19, 2008 Catching up...
Well , Hello there, it has been over a week since I have been here. We have repaired our computer..Yeah!! We also added a ton of storage to it so it will hopefully run better and I wont have to worry about losing pictures. Jerry has learned alot about rebuilding computers in the last few weeks and has found himself a new hobby. What have we been up to... We finished our 3 week class at Maplebrook Farm for chicks, that was fun Here is some pics from the first week, by now the chicks all have feathers. The kids compared stor bought eggs to fresh farm eggs, definitely would rather eat farm fresh!! They learned how to test for freshness by placing each egg in water to see if it floats , sinks, tips to its side. They studied feathers, beaks and feet. They learned about the 21 day cycle of a chick. They had a good time. Last week after class we went over to a family we know from co-op. The Gray's. We had such a fun afternoon with them. they are out on the peninsula living on acreage, also. They had a zip line to ride down and the kids were there when their Grandpa brought them 18 new chicks, so it was quite the chicken week. Speaking of zip lines, Aj and Brennan, from next door, made there own Zip Line. They found a pulley in the barn and talked Brennans dad into taking them to get some rope and off they went. I haven't seen it yet, so I will have to venture out and get some photos.
Father's Day was nice. The sun came out and it was kinda warm. We made Jerry breakfast. In the afternoon we went over to his Dad's and brought some Popey's chicken . His Grandpa was there , so it was nice to see them. Of course, I forgot the camera . Definitely made me homesick for my family. Hopefully we will get back down to La soon.
This week has been busy, too. Aj started hunter's ed. That is going on every evening from 6-10. So there are some late nights around here. He is excited though. Especially about being able to hunt for his first deer this fall.
Wednesday, we finally had Katies birthday party. We went to Build-A-Bear. This was her year to have a big party. We usually take turns opposite years, We still try to keep them simple, but since last year she has asked and been waiting to go there so that was her Birthday from us. She chose 3 friends and off we went. I will upload some pictures tonight to the page. Isaia is waiting for me to nurse him so I must go.
Luv
Tammy

Jun. 8, 2008 Waiting for summer or even Spring!!!
The weekend is ending and everyone is finally asleep. I just heard the weather report for Monday more Rain and cold weather. Ugh!! I am thankful that we aren't getting the terrible weather that the midwest is getting, and I pray for all thi=ose enduring those storms. We had our annual Harbor Days festival here, We awoke early Saturday and took the kids downtown for the Pancake breakfast by the Kiwanis. We had our 4 kids and the neighbors two boys. Pancakes were yummy and fluffy, the kids were all quiet which is a compliment to the good food, we also had bowls of fruit and juice, all in the parking lot of the QFC. The temp was barely 52, burr!! and it was so humid and misting rain. We finished our food and walked on down by the water to find a spot for the Parade. Usually we are getting there just as it is starting, Jerry was with us today and we were at least 25 minutes early- Thanks Dad The parade lasted 1 1/2 hrs, it was a fun small town parade. We have been here 5 years now and it was fun to see many people we knew .
Afterwards we went to ACE so dad could get a part to fix our potty. We have been down to 1 for several days. With a family of 6 I really enjoy having 2 working bathrooms!!!
So , we saw the bunny again today. Yes she is still alive. This rabbit is so quick!! We now have her cage set up and a live trap set up so I amhoping before more rain comes tomorrow she will get caught.
Thats about all for now, I will check in this week. Have a good night.

Jun. 5, 2008 Here we are again....
Well , hello there, We have got the worst of our computer problems taken care of. Thank goodness!! Thanks Chuck for all your help!! First of all, Sarah is doing much better. She had a set back Tuesday and Wednesday, with a fever peaking at 103, but thankfully that has subsided. I think she was fighting off something from all the dental work. I started her on probiotics for the next month to build her up, hopefully that will help. She was home from preschool yesterday to rest up. ( For those of you who dont know- she has been in a preschool program at our public school this year getting speech therapy. It started out at 2 days a week and after Christmas we went to 4 days. It is 2 1/2 hours a day. I have to say that we are very pleased with this program, even with our hesitation over public school. We have been very blessed with her teacher and speech therapist. I do long for her to be home with us, but am thankful to hear her voice coming forth after her quiet years.) We are not sure what will happen next year, depending on if we are still here and so forth. Today was her field day,but it is cold and rainy!! More like March weather. So they stayed inside. She had to bring a display about herself with pictures so we made a giant lapbook thisweek for her, I hope you can see what we did it was really fun. We used 4 file folders and taped them together so then it can fold up to store.
Now about the Rabbit...Well , we still havent caught her. We did see her this past week and we have tried on several attempts, but havent captured her. And for the past few days it has been raining and we haven't seen her at all. Katie is very sad about this, but we will still have hope. I was truly amazed that it was still alive after a week out in our woods. We have 4H tonight, so that will be a bummer for her. But she is a primary so she can't actually show this year so I am hoping that will make it better.
Speaking of Katie we still haven't set a date for her birthday. It seems as though every date is crazy this time of year, but we will set it soon.
AJ was gone several days last week helping Papa finish clearing out their old doublewide. They had it demolished this week and are getting a new home put in there soon. He enjoyed helping over there and I know he was a hard worker. Thanks pal!!
I think I am going to try to set up some links and categories for this blog this weekend Now that the computer is working better I dont have to worry about it all falling apart.
Well Isaia is down for a nap so I need to get some chores done and check some school work and get the kids ready for 4H and Sarah has an Ice cream social tonight and we have to go check the rabbit trap and there is always laundry to fold.....Have a good afternoon. Blessings to you.

May. 31, 2008 Rabbit, teeth, BDay and computer problems, OH My.....
Well, I have not been on in over a week or more, sorry!!! First of all a Late wish to my "little bug"...HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY KATIE....MAY 24TH ..... wE ARE STILL PLANNING A bIRTHDAY PARTY FOR NEXT WEEKEND - JUNE 6 OR 7.
May 25th we awoke to find Katies Lionhead rabbit had escaped. Ugh!!! We spent most of the day searching our forested 5 acres, we ended the day praying that God would take care of her and help us find her if it was meant to be. Then Thursday afternoon, can you believe it, she was seen. We have had her cornered seveeral times but have not recaptured her , yet. but I cant even believe she is still alive- Praise the lord!!. Hopefully , today we will be able to get her.
Sarah went in for her Dental surgery, thursday. We were at childrens hospital most of the afternoon. She was not able to eat after 4 am, so I woke her at 3:30 for breakfast. She did so well, they pulled one tooth and put caps on 7 , then they put crowns on her front incisors, I cant believe all the stuff they did. I am thankful to have it behind us, and sad that it even had to be done. They say it could have been fromthe acid reflux as a baby, but could just be her teeth. She was out of it Thurs, but by friday was bouncing off the walls.
Last but not Least, our computer is slowly nearing the end of its life, I think, we have spent the last week trying to keep it going but it is getting slower and slower. So I amjust adding this for now and hopefully I will be able to get on again. We are trying toget our pics and important thigs off before it completely locks up. I will try to post agian if I still can, until we get a new one. Well the sunis out so I am going totry to enjoy it. have a good day.

May. 21, 2008 Its been a busy week....
Hello there, I haven't been here in a week which is not my intention, but , it has been quite busy around here. Last week the weather was Glorious!!! It hit about 80 for nearly 4 days. Of course, its back inthe 60's, so I have some time back at my computer for a bit.
We went to Ft Nisqually on a field trip with co-op on Thursday. It was really fun. The weather made it so much more enjoyable. We have been there before, but only for the Candlelight tour. So it was neat to go inside the buildings . Life was harderin the 1800's, but in so many ways so much simpler. I have a few pics I will add later. Afterwards we were driving to meet Jerry and my battery light came on in the Suburban. Well within a very short time the power became weaker, Thankfully I was able to pull into a parking lot down by the water and as I backed the truck into its space, we lost all power. The kids had drinks and snacks and our friend Jacob was with us, he is 15, and he had a deck of cards- YAY!!!
As we waited for Jerry to rescue us the kids had a picnic in the parking lot and played cards. Meanwhile, the truck needed a new alternator and battery, bummer. God is so good. A year ago, this would have been an extreme stress, financially, even a few months ago. Now that the business is up and going well, I am thankful that it was just something we could take care of and move forward. I am also thankful for my children behaving so well and having fun in a crazy adventure. They were saddend since we had to miss 4-H, but there will be more meetings, and besides how many times do you get to learn how to change the alternator. hmmmm
Here we are hanging out waiting for Daddy to rescue us !!!
Yeah!!! Dad's our hero!!! A new battery to get us to the auto part store and put in a new alternator.
Well the rest of the weekend was busy, too.
We went to see the new Narnia movie Friday, It was good, although it strayed from the book off and on. We had just finished the book so the kids were very excited to go and see it. It was over 2 hours long. Jerry had the day off, sowe were all there. Isaia slept through nearly all of it and we had to cover Sarah's eyes a few times and when it ended everyone was rushing to the bathroom.
Well I shall go make lunch and will return later to complete any new happenings.
Have a great day,
love
