In all I am, do, and will write, my aim is to hit God's mark. I will have moments of being misguided as I am not perfect, but know that I serve a God that loves me through it all.
Oh, man, she's so goin' to think I'm copying her.. Truly, this was my intended post. I saw it done last year somewhere and actually remembered it. A miraculous feat in and of itself.
Don’t believe me then.
My 2008 Year-In-Review
Meaning: The first sentence of the first blog of each month.
January: We were supposed to go spend the weekend at my in-laws this past weekend.
February: I haven't written anything profound lately. (Surprise, surprise.)
March: I am notorious for forgetting to take the meat out of the freezer in time for it to thaw.
April: Blank (Maybe I was busy doing taxes?)
May: So many times I hear the groanings of a mother's heart straining to find time to drink of God's Word or to pray or to worship.
November: Blank (Holding my breath for the elections most likely. Oh, and falling and injuring my hand making it very difficult to type.)
December: Candy. (Hmmm. Not a sentence. I claim author’s creative license. Hey, if e.e. cummings can refuse to use capitals, I can refuse to use sentences. So there.)
I’ve enjoyed writing this year and am honored to have you reading. There are others rounding up their blogging year.
Many blessings and Happy New Year,
Holly
I'm agreeing with smallworld. I'm most tempted to go find the posts which start with one-word sentences. They are like little mysteries begging to be solved :)
Sigh. I might have to sign up with homeschool blogger just to have a link back to my blog when I post comments.
That is absolutely what I need to do (make my stops after co-op.) I even considered it before, but always had the whiney excuse of 'but everyone's so tired' after coop. But we have to have more free time in the afternoons. Have to.
So, we'll bite the bullet and get almost all our running done on Thursday so that the rest of the week can be faced.
You have a new house? That's awesome! When you get all moved in and settled, can you post some pics, pretty pretty please?
I have a tendency to get hit by SAD as well. Right after Christmas, I told the kids that school was happening upstairs until spring came. Our school room downstairs is right by the patio doors BUT my desk faces away from the light, and I feel like I'm in the basement. I need to fix that. Plus the downstairs is cold, and I hate being bundled up by a space heater still shivering through school.
Vaya is our foster-daughter. She came to live with us when she was 15. A little over a year later, the state gave her back to her birth mother. That lasted for a rocky few months, and then we got her back right before she turned 17. We got legal guardianship of her, and she lived with us until she got engaged, when she moved in to her future in-laws home. She got married two weeks before we hopped on a plane to go to Guatemala and bring Toa of Boy home. She's 23 now....though I had to do my math twice, cause that seems WAY too old. Sadly, her husband has been laid off of three separate jobs since last November. Currently, neither of them are employed and they had to move back in with his parents. Now she's expecting. I'm really worried for them financially.
I'm glad you have your shoes and silverware! I've had so much fun thrift hunting. You can do amazing things with a can of spray paint ( ivory, white and black) and some el-cheapo things.
The Nester is a good place to find bargain ideas too. Here's her address http://nestingplacenc.blogspot.com/

Sadly, I fell out of the habit of doing Homeschool Memoirs when they got a bit techno oriented OR specific to certain homeschool styles, so I know what you mean.
I haven't done enough Blogger Friend School to be able to say they always are this or that. But, the few that I have done seem to be more general in nature and usually have a scripture tie in. I'm finding that some weeks I need a prompt to start blogging. Otherwise I either don't have much to say OR I mean to get around to writing, but never have the time. If I know there's a writing prompt that comes out on Tuesday, I'm more likely to "get to gettin" ;)
