Country Blessings

Sep. 17, 2008 - Christmas float ideas and a great recipe to try!

I can hardly believe that I have been off of here for so long.  Time sure flies when you are busy.  Now I am back though and since life is getting hectic again I thought I would ask you all for help.  I am on our Christian Education committee at church and every year we put a float into the Christmas parade.  This is a real source of irritation for the CE committe because we can never think of an idea for the float.  So, do any of you creative ladies (or men) have an idea for our float. We are a small country church so budget is an issue.  Obviously we want a churchy theme to it as well.  Thank you all for your help, it is greatly appreciated.

Below is a recipe for making your own water color paints.  Enjoy.

3 tbsp. baking soda

3 tbsp. cornstarch

3 tbsp. white vinegar

1-1/2 tsp. light corn syrup

food coloring in different colors

Mix vinegar, baking soda corn starch and corn syrup together.

Divide mixture into several bowls.

Add food coloring to several different bowls.

Use it wet or let the mixture dry and use a wet brush in them.
