Mar. 18, 2008 - Here we are...

Posted in About Us

Reid, doting father and awesome hubby.  He is the quintessential fun-loving jokester that loves to goof around.  The girls enjoy every minute of it!  He is currently working as a sales rep for a local manufacturing company.  We are very excited that soon he will be able to work from home.  He always has many irons in the fire and does such a great job of providing for our family.  We are so grateful and thankful for him every day.  He enjoys woodworking or just messing around in the garage when he has the time.

Here he is as George Washington (the wig was an experiment with quilt batting to try our hand at 18th century fashions).

Here is me, Steph...homeschooling mom, homemaker, home manager, nurse, chauffeur, counselor, and most recently...runner!  I  enjoy (almost) every single minute of said duties above.  I have a great passion for home education because I (re: we) believe that learning in its purest form is best achieved in a natural setting, away from forced or contrived methods.  Our Philosophy category will explain in more detail.

Miss M is a wonderful girl after God's own heart.  She loves to read God's word and study His truths.  One of her giftings is to come up with metaphors that relate to a spiritual truth...its really rather beautiful.  She loves to ride horses and anything that has to do with horses...read about them, study them, draw them.  In her spare time, you can find her in a book.  She is a Nancy Drew fan and mystery lover.  She loves to create things with her hands - sewing, crafting, and scrapbooking are just a few.

Miss C is a fun-loving little girl.  Everyone that knows her says how happy she always is, with a big smile on her face.  She definitely keeps us laughing around here!  She is my little organizer - always finding a way to keep her toys, books and stuffed animals tidy.  Her favorite things are animals, especially marine life.  She has mentioned to us before that she would like to be a SCUBA diver when she gets older.

These two girls love each other.  They often tell me they are each other's best friend.
