Memorial Day..

Today we were going to have our first campfire at our fire pit but we got invited to our Grandparents house for today so we did it last night instead..

Horses

Hello!

What have you been doing lately? We have been busy with our horses! And trying to find a new saddle or two.

Here is a picture from the last Riding lesson we had! I trotted 'Kitty' My horse!!

Doesn't it kinda look like I am barrel racing?! LOL hmm...It did look better in a smaller picture though...

Young Maiden's Day Book - May 11th

Today…
May 11th, 2009

Outside my window…
pretty nice, no breeze, blue sky but clouding up, chance of shawers this evening

I am thinking...

That we have no school this week! YAH!

I am thankful for…
That I can ride my horse on Tuesday and everyday after that! :)

I am wearing…
A white long sleeve top (although I am quit warm in it!) and a skirt with different blue flower designes on it. (kinda hard to explain. :)

I am reading…

Ummm..the computer! LOL No, Volunteering at the Nursing Home, Church, practicing my music..

For education this week…
Nothing..lol We will be trying to put together our sciebce lapbook, I have two weks left of Math I want to finish and then we will still be doing our Bedell like 2 days a week maybe.. Well, not much, maybe a few math lessons, Bible/Bedell.

A keeper at home skill I am using/learning...

Just to be a proverbs 31 Lady, homekeeper.

A spiritual lesson I am learning...

well, I Church yesterday, about that whatever other people do you have to stay with God thrue whatever even thou satan will be tempting, It will be hard.. but just to take in as much of the Bible as you can now..

A godly character trait I plan to work on…

For the rest of the week…
Well, today we went shopping for some fabric for a skirt I am going to make and fabric for a horse blanket I will make!

Tomorrow, if it is not raining we will have horse back riding lessons and our old co-op's Art and academic fair in the evening

And Wednsday is just Ambers violing lesson, but I will probably stay home with dad.

Thursday is nothing, exept if we get rained out on Tuesday we will do it on Thursday. Supposed to be warm! Jyst play out side, play with the horses.

And Friday is volunteering at the Nursing Home.

That's it I think! lol

A picture I’d like to share...
Last Friday we went to the Nursing Home to do a Mothers Day program during there coffee break, everybody played a few peices or sang or said a poem.. I am the one without the face whited our :) lol The rest are friends. We sang to "It is well with my Soul" while three other girls played the violin

Busy, Busy, Busy!!

Hello Everybody!

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooosorry I haven't been posting! It seems that whenever I'm about to post I have to do something!

Well, we have quit busy lately!

We stilll have on Friday's either Girls Bible study or volunteering at the Nursing Home and now just last Tuesday a lady from our Church came out to help us train our horses! So now we are with our horses, saddling and bridleing them everyday and then next Tuesday we will be riding!! YAH!!!

I got some new reins, and boots too. My boots were giving me blisters and then we found out that the halter we got free with my horse when we bought her, well, we were wondering why the reins were so short (they only came to the middle of her neck! LOL) and she (our trainer) said they were sport reins and so then I was looking thorugh a book and found out that the bit it came with was a racing bit! LOL I don't think I'll be doing that...LOL So I will be still using the bridle but got new reins.

Tomorrow our Ruby girls bible study is having a Mothers day recital at the Nursing home. and then we will be going out to eat for dinner as a family and then go to an arcade like place because we finished school today!!!!!!!! YAH! I will be doing a little subjects during the summer, maybe like a few subjects like 3 times a week.

It has been really warm here! What is the weather like there? This week is supposed to be rainy but have only got a few little sprinkles..lol

Sorry, I ramble so much! LOL Oh, well, I am just excited about the horse thing and tomorrow! LOL

What are you all doing for mother's day? Well, I can't say because if mom reads my blog..I will tell after Mother;s day! LOL

Chick Day!!!

Hello friends! How are you? I am fine. I thnk I have spring allergies, sore throat, caugh. I feel fine right now just a caugh. I it REALLY warm outside! 66 degrees! YAH!!! What is the weather like were you live

Yesterday we got 10 cicks! 9 hen's and 1 rooster. We are keepipng them in a box here in the classroom!

LOL we aren't sure wich one is a boy. But it is one of the black ones. I am going to have a black one and a golden one. I named the golden one Minnie because it is the smallest of them all. I am not quit sure wich black one to pick...

This is pictures from online we found of the same breed we have, This is what they should look like when they get older!

We got six of these golden links.

And 4 of these bardrock's. I think the rooster will be all black.

Young Maiden's daybook #1

Hello everyone! Here is my first one!

Today… we invited Grandma to Church with us and lunch afterward. A 60 degree day here!

Outside my window… The sun is setting behind the pine trees, there is stratus clouds hiding the sunshine

I am thinking… About our chicks we are getting on tuesday, they will stay in a box in the classroom!! And about a birthday party tomorrow and about Easter....

I am thankful for… That Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave!! Mark 16: 6 - 7............He is Risen!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am wearing… A Polka - dot tang top with a pink top over it, blue jeans, and new knee high socks I got for Easter.

I am reading… Numbers.... and "Adventures in the north woods" series (book number 3)

I am creating… Nothing but very soon (I hope) actully painting, A wooden bird house shaped like a Church and the front doors really open, very handy to see the baby birds and clean out the old nests

One of my favorite things… My horse

For education this week… Well, we are quit busy so I am not sure how much we will get done, I guess just real life economics...

A keeper at home skill I am using/learning … Just trying to obey cheerfully, quickly, Do work diligently.

A spiritual lesson I’m learning… Alot, Just about the end times and that we need to tell people about Jesus. we got a kit called "Way of the Master" That helps train us to Witness! It is really fun to! We still have a few DVD's to watch but I am excited!

A godly character trait I plan to work on… Just to be a good testimony and just soak in Gods word an dread it and memorize it!

Scripture I am memorizing… Exodus 20: 1 - 17

I am praying for… Some of my family members, that they would come to know Jesus and ask Him in there heart

For the rest of the week… Quit busy, hope to do school, houswork. Play with horses, chicks.

Pictures!

Hello everybody! How are you all today? I am good! What have you been doing lately? I now (yesterday) volunteer in the beuty salon at the nursing home! It is SUPER fun! I am in there with a friend also! Tomarrow is just Church and then eating at our Grandparents house! Here are some pictres!

First, On the first day of April, We got about an inch of snow! lol

It was REALLY wet and slushy but it made a great/ fast making snow ball!

Getting bigger!

I decided to name it April, for the first day of April.

There, the finishing touch... I am the one standing on it and that is my sister, BookwomrMN. It took Our mom also to roll it! If I stand next to it it goes up to my chest!

We decided to make another one and roll it down the driveway and put in in the middle of the driveway for April fools for dad when he comes home from work *hehe*. We named that one Buster. LOL

Back inside I cooked up some eggs!

Yes, I knitted it to practice increasing and decreasing. Right now I am learning different stiches using the knit stick and pearl. I am working on making sausages (to go with the eggs :) )

I got these from a book:

I know it looks a little simple but really it starts from the beginning and you can even make a mohair sweater! it has hats, dolls, A doll jumper. All knitting! I recomend this book highly! We got it from Amazon at a good price. I bet other places sell it though too.

Home tour

Hello Friends!

Happy first day of spring!! Guess what? For a spring suprise we got.......................................snow!! Just when it had melted! lol Only a few inches though. There is good news though! We got rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that sounds like nothing to you but it melted the snow and we haven't had since forever and It will help green up the grass!!! LOL What is the weather like were you live!! Okay now what you all have been waiting for..........yep, A video tour of our house..yes, it is kinda long but please see it!! But here it goes! Okay, now I had to delet some parts because it was to long but it does show all of the house!
