Jun. 28, 2007 - Summer is Fun!

Summer is fun! Our square dancing group is going to give a demonstration at the state convention this August! We are pracitcing real hard!

My brother has a summer job. He is working at the school as a janitor. He doesn't like that name. He gets up and goes to work real early in the morning.

I still have my braces.

I am going to take my Hapkido test for an orange belt soon!

Jun. 7, 2007 - It has been a long time!

I have not written in my blog for a long time. My school is over for the year. I am glad that I get to take off for the summer. I am going to vo-tech in the fall. I changed the background on my blog, too. Purple and pink are my favorite colors. I will have to write more later.

Feb. 27, 2007 - Art Lessons are fun!

I like taking art lessons! I get homework to do too. He is a picture of one of the coloring papers that I did this past week.

This week I am writing my name to look like balloons and I am 'drawing' words. I will show them to you next week.

Feb. 15, 2007 - My News

I start Drawing classes next Monday! I will take drawing lessons every Monday. I can't wait. I really like to draw! My mom says that we never have enough paper. My dad saves all his used paper from work for me. I will post some of my drawing pictures when I start classes.

We got a lot of snow on Tuesday and Wednesday. My brother has to shovel the snow. I don't! I don't think he likes that.

We are cleaning the house today and we are doing laundry. I don't like doing it, but I know I have to help.

Jan. 29, 2007 - My report on Prairie Dogs

I read about Prairie Dogs when I was learning about the prairie where Laura Ingalls Wilder lived with her family. Laura and Mary used to watch the Prairie dogs play.

PRAIRIE DOGS

     I read five books and watched two videos about Prairie Dogs. They are really not dogs at all. They are rodents. Prairie dogs are about twelve inches high and they look like fat squirrels.

     Prairie dogs build tunnels under the ground called burrows. They always live together in a community called a town. The burrows have different rooms. The rooms are lined with soft grass. One of the rooms is a toilet.

     Prairie dogs like to eat grass, weeds and seeds. They eat a lot in the summer and get real fat. In the winter they stay in their burrows and sleep a lot. Baby Prairie dogs are born in the Spring. About four to six pups are born in a litter.

     If a Prairie dog senses danger he barks and warns all the other Prairie dogs. They dive into their burrows to hide. Snakes and hawks and ferrets are enemies of Prairie dogs.

     I like Prairie dogs because they are cute and they are smart!

Jan. 25, 2007 - Where our dog is spending the winter.

Our dog does not like snow or cold weather! She is always cold! This is where she is spending a lot of the day. At night she sleeps under her puppy covers on Mom and Dad's bed.

Her dog bed is on where the heat comes out of our furnace in our house.

This morning we shared the heat together!

Jan. 5, 2007 - Hi!

My brother started school on Tuesday, so it is just my Mom and me homeschooling now. I made a chocolate gluten free cake yesterday in "Kitchen Math." It had chocolate peanut butter icing on it. I left it in the oven too long and it is a bit dry. Mom says I can try again. I think that I am going to use one of my craft kits today. I have to make the grocery list and go grocery shopping with my Mom first.

Jan. 1, 2007 - My Christmas.

We had a nice Christmas. I got LOTS of craft kits. I like doing crafts. I go to a craft class at the ARC every month.
I am not going to go to the art class this year. My mom didn't find out about it until it until it was too late, and the class was full.

Dec. 13, 2006 - No Snow! Christmas Party Picture.

I would like to have LOTS of snow for Christmas. We are getting rain, but no snow. It is too warm to snow! I hope it gets colder and snowy before Christmas gets here!

Dec. 5, 2006 - My brother and a squirrel

My brother was bit my a squirrel that got into our house. He had to go to the Emergency Room. He caught the squirrel and put it in a box, but it got away. He might have to get shots for rabies. Mom says the shots hurt. I hope my brother doesn't need to get shots.

Dec. 2, 2006 - We have been busy

I haven't written on my blog for a while. We have been busy! We went to Grammy's for Thanksgiving and I saw my cousins. I haven't seen them since last New Year's Day!

Here is a picture of our Christmas tree. My brother and I put it up. Our friend Alex, helped us. We had to get all of the boxes down out of the attic first. Then we had to put the tree together. Then we had to put the empty boxes in the basement. That is a lot of work! My Mom and my brother and I made the paper chain that is on the tree. I think our tree is beautiful!

Today we went to Homeschool Geology Day at Lincoln Caverns. I did experiments in classes and then we toured two caves. It was fun!

Nov. 2, 2006 - Last Tennis Class and my Weekend

Today was our last tennis class before winter. It was very cold outside at tennis. We stayed warm by running around and playing hard! I like my tennis teacher, she helps me when I can't hit the ball. I will miss playing tennis this winter.

I am in a horse show this coming weekend. I hope I do well. Skippy is such a good listener. He does what I tell him. Sometimes I do pull the reins too much. My riding teacher tells me not pull the reins. It makes Skippy mad when I pull too much.

I am working at our church Christmas boutique this Saturday. I am going help in the kitchen and help with the tables. My brother is going to help in the kitchen too. My mom is going to be making Christmas bows for people.

Oct. 31, 2006 - We went to the fabric store today

My mom and I went to the store to buy material for dresses for Christmas and my Christmas presents. I am going to make a needle keeper for my Gram and a 9 patch pillow. My pillow will be purple and the needle keeper will be yellow, green and pink. Here is a picture of what we bought. The red material is for Christmas dresses for mom and me. My dress will be the red and white one.

Oct. 30, 2006 -

After church last night our family painted a tea set that my parents got me for Christmas last year! Each one of us painted a dish, a cup and a saucer. After we painted them they had to dry overnight. We 'baked' them in the oven this morning, and now they are finished.

Oct. 28, 2006 - Today is chore day.

So far today I have helped with the laundry, baked bread and helped mom scrub the stair steps. I am going to make peanut butter bars for my dad. They are wheat free so I can eat them. We are having tacos for dinner tonight!

My braces keep coming loose, so I have to go back to the dentist. I was there two times this week. Braces are not fun right now!

They canceled our Luther League corn maze trip for tonight. They said it was too muddy.

Mom says it is not a good week!

My mother found some neat horse pictures for me. I also adopted a new pet for my site. Her name is Rosie and she plays more than Regit did. I hope you like all my horses and my new cat!

Oct. 20, 2006 - Our Square DAncing Group Halloween Party

I went to our group's pirate theme Halloween Party last night at the ARC. I had a good time. I like square dancing! I got my hair done yesterday too. I have blonde streaks in my hair now.
Tennis practice was yesterday, too. We only have one more week of tennis class outside because the weather is starting to get cold. The teacher is going to find some tennis courts that are inside so we can play tennis all winter. I hope we can do that!

Oct. 17, 2006 - What I have been doing

     I have been baking lately. I have made homemade bread and double chocolate cookies. I have Celiac Disease so I can't eat wheat or gluten. All the goodies I make are wheat and gluten free. Sometimes it is hard to make things. There are a lot of ingredients! That is a lot of reading!
     Our family went on a hike this past Sunday. My brother got two tick bites. He had to go to the doctor. She said he would be alright.
    I have ARC Angels practice tonight. I like to sing. I sing in the choir at church too. I'll write more tomorrow. Bye!
