Oct. 3, 2006 - Today is busy

We did not go to the Potato Festival because it rained. This week is the Farm Show. I took cookies that I baked and a picture that I painted in art class. My brother likes to take pictures, so he took some of them to the Farm Show. We are going to the Farm show tonight so see if I won.

I have tennis class today, too.  It is sunny outside, so it will be a good day to play!  Last week it rained on lesson day.

Tonight is choir practice, too.  I think that am going to be busy today!

Sep. 30, 2006 - Potato Time

Today we are going to a Potato Festival.  I like to look at crafts and I like to buy some too! 

My braces do hurt a little, but mom put wax over the parts that were hurting my mouth.  I'll tell you about the festival when we get back!

Sep. 28, 2006 - BRACES DAY!!!!

Hi!  Here is me and Lucky our dog!  I got my braces this morning!  I got pink bands, too!  I had a chocolate milkshake and applesauce for lunch!  My braces don't hurt yet...

Sep. 27, 2006 - Birds and Braces

We are studying birds in Science.  This week my mom made experiments where we had to eat like birds.  Different birds have different beaks so they can eat different things.  My brother and I ate like kingfishers, swallows-(Mom threw marshmallows at us, they were supposed to be bugs in the air), sparrows, owls, sandpipers and hummingbirds.  It was fun. 

Here is a picture of me being a sparrow, opening a nut with pliers, (Like a sparrow would crack a seed with it's beak.)

I am getting my braces tomorrow!!!!!

Sep. 23, 2006 - Today is my brother's birthday!

We are going to celebrate my brother's birthday.  We are going to Red Lobster for dinner.  John got his red belt in Hapkido today.  We'll have cake and ice cream when we get home.  I got John a cool present!

Sep. 22, 2006 - Today is Horse Day!

Friday is horseback riding day!  I ride Skippy.  My mom is going to take pictures today when I go to horseback riding.  So you will get to see Skip and I having fun.  I am getting ready for a Horse Show in November.  I am also getting ready to do dressage in Special Olympics next fall.  Horses are cool!

Skippy is an American Quarter Horse.  I ride at Look of Eagles Stable.  I like taking care of Skippy.  He is such a handsome horse!

Sep. 20, 2006 - I am getting braces!

I am getting braces from Dr. Pfeffer.  Today I get my spacers. I get all my braces next Wednesday.  My expander will come out too.  I want to get pink color rubber bands. 

 

 

I am going to have to eat soft food. I like mashed potatoes and other soft food.  So it will not be too bad.  I have to get back to school now.  Bye!

     I'm Aligurl and I want to have a blog.  My mother and my brother both have one and I want one too.  I am almost 16 years old, and I am in 8th grade. I have Down syndrome and I like homeschooling.   I love my family.  I hope you like my blog.
