Well, to begin with, I want to apologise for not updating sooner. Second.... hockey!!! I love the sport--I mean, to watch it. ;) We went to see an Air Force game and unfortunately they lost. And unfortunately, they have lost every game this season so far even though it is the beginning of the season. The best player is Jeff Hajner (who scored all the points at the game we saw).

Oh, me, mum, dad, and Percy went to the Navy ball. It was really fun and I got to wear my mum's old ball dress. It was really purdy :)

Okay, I think it is about time for an update. Don't ya'll agree? (cheezy grin :) Well, this last weekend... geez, I don't think I've ever stood a whole day before, but I did last Saturday. I left early Saturday morning for P&P rehearsal, went regency dancing from there, and then went to our church's annual barn dance that evening! I didn't step a foot into the house until I got home... it was all pretty busy, but it was SO MUCH FUN.... I only got pictures from the barn dance, so here they are.

Aug. 19, 2009 - will you feel alone when there is no one to hold your hand?

On my sixteenth birthday, my mom was making a cake in the kitchen, I was in there with her, inhaling the delicious smell of chocolate. The doorbell rang and mom said, "Oh, Jacob must want to play with the boys. Tell him not today... we are too busy." I skipped to the door and through it open and there stood my dear friend, Beka! I stood, gaping at her and she kinda smiled and asked, "Are you going to let me in?" I screamed and threw my arms around her.

She stayed with me for a week... we did crazy things, went to the mall, went to Garden of the God, and she stayed for my bigger party that I shared with my now seventeen year old friend, you guys know as hoisonchicken.

Aug. 13, 2009 - when you're dreaming with a broken heart, waking up is the hardest part... wondering, "was he really here? is he standing in my room?" but he's not, cuz he's gone, gone, gone, gone, gone...

Aug. 6, 2009 - how do we say our good-bye's; do we laugh or cry?

Our vacation was great, but I miss everybody terribly :( We first went to MS to pick up Percy and spend time with my great-aunt and mom's cousins. We hung out at the pool and Bass Pro Shops.

Then we went to AL where we met up with both sides of mom and dad's family. Papa and Whimmey got a new dog and her name is Sally, she is so cute :)

With mom's side of the family, we went bowling, and had tea parties (the boys were obviously not there :P) We also met up w/ some of mom's old school friends.

It was really sad leaving them all. I really think that this was one of the best visits that we ever had with all our family. :(

Then we went to GA where we visited the Wichterselfs!!! (aka, Mari and Chriss's family :) First day there, I got an incredible sunburn at Lake A-la-Tuna (lol).

I'm not hard to miss, I'm the pasty-white one (this was before the sunburn :P) Oh! Guess who I met? When I went to their church, I met (for the second time in my life :) Courtney! Ah, and uh, she also quit her blog :( I'd posts pictures of the teen thang that was held after church, but that was on the other camera :P SEND THE PICTURES MARI!!! I also met a few of their other friends, Anna, Nathan, and Nathan (XD)

We had fun partying at the Wichterselfs. Matt pulled out the kareoke and his guitar, and we partied almost every night there ;) Mari taught me how to text (SO MUCH FUN....) and I bugged all of her poor friends :P Ah, and Mr. Wichterself dressed up as Rod Stewart :D

Leaving our little "family" was heart-wrenching for me. We've gotten so close to them through the years, it gets harder every time we have to go. The last night there, we stayed up until 4:30 a.m. watching Matt, Percy, Chriss, and Julia play Texas Hold 'em. Then we went to bed and stayed up till 5:00. I miss them all so much!

Jul. 17, 2009 - you're on my heart just like a tatoo... just like a tatoo, i'll always have you

Do any of ya'll recall me getting a henna tatoo kit for Christmas? Well, I was saving it for summer vacation, and I finally used it! (btw, henna tatoos stay on for just a few weeks before disapearing) It took awhile at first, I was so afraid I'd mess up. BUT, it was so much fun after giving myself two henna tatoos, that I gave my dad one and then I gave my mom one too!

Today is Johnny-Bravo's twelfth birthday. They all went to see "Up" in 3D; I couldn't go cuz 3D stuff gives me headaches and makes me feel ill.

*sigh* That is my new fave Jonas song. It's so purdy...

Anyhoo, thought I might share something interesting. I was just thinking to myself one day, (and I totally forgot to post about it, forgive me) that since Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, he must have look a lot (I mean A LOT) like his mom. You know, since the he was conceived by the spirit and "the spirit has not a body like we do", so he must've looked like his mum. Interesting, huh?

It's mom and dad's 20th anniversary! They left to spend the night at this hotel then go eat on a fancy train that goes through a canyon of some sort. And I totally forgot what it is called.

I am past my writer's block! And, as a matter of fact, I'm done with my fifth chapter! YAHOO!!! Now, I had better catch up on my studying for Pride & Prejudice...

Jun. 24, 2009 - a heart that hurts, is a heart that beats, can you hear the drummer slowin'...

We just finished watching "Sense & Sensability". *sigh* I love that movie :) My number one favorite character is Colonel Brandon. And my favorite part is when Marianne tells him thank you for rescuing her. Ah, great movie...

Unfortunately, I have a temporary (well I hope it's temporary) writer's block. I never got it before, especially when working on my story. And it is most upsetting; I just got to the part when you meet 'the voice' which turns out to be this really cool bad guy, but the others don't know it's a bad guy, so they become friendly and all and start to travel with each other. AAAAGGHH!!!! NOT A GOOD THING!!!

It's amazing how wrapped up and author can get (cheezy grin :)

Have any of ya'll seen the movie called, "The Hiding Place"? Anyhoo, great movie, I recomend it, you'll probably cry... *ahem* Anhoo, my mom and dad went to this music conference thingy last... hmm... let me see... oh, on monday and they met the gal who plays Corrie. A real christian actress. *GASP*

Well, the boys and dad are out camping. Mom and I had popcorn, soda and watched "Horton Hears a Who". She liked :)

I've just had a very LARGE helping of French Toast. And, tonight, mom and I are going to watch another movie.

Jun. 15, 2009 - life, your only rivers run cold; these city lights, they shine of silver and gold

Okay, folks. I'm back from D.C.! And I have pictures to post:

We went to the Smithsonean History Museum and the National Gallery of Art. I saw Kermit the Frog and Dorothy's ruby slippers! (cheezy grin :)

Oh, and the old hat belongs to Honest Abe :)

We went to the mall, Amish Market, and stayed home to play monopoly on rainy days ;) Oh, and when we watched the spiderman movies, Arya gave Christine and I pedicures.

And Christine and I found the wierdest bug in the history of bugs. It kinda looked like a stretched crab leg, with hundreds of legs sprouting everywhere, and a tail.

Sorry, but that's the best shot I could find. If anyone has any clue what it is, please tell me :)

I am so happy! I got a part in a Pride and Prejudice musical! I can't wait to prepare, get a costume, etc., etc.

I also found out that one of my friends, Rachel, is going to be apart of the ensemble as well! And her little sister is going to play Mary! And another one of my friends is going to play Lydia!

My audition this past Saturday went well for the most part. I did really well on my two monologues, but on my song, I started a note too high and therefore squeaked out the last high note. :P The script readings were really fun; I was Elizabeth Bennet for the first round and Lydia for the last.

But now I have a callback for tonight... sorta good sign (doesn't mean much though, I mean it doesn't mean I get a part). Please pray for me, folks!

Apr. 23, 2009 - Hannah has left me :(

Well, Hannah has returned home. Needless to say, I wasn't quite ready for her to leave me. But, it was fun. We raided the mall one of the nights she was here :) We took silly pictures of us wearing hats, she bought a poster for her brother, and I got myself a large pair of hoop earings ;)

Okay, Daydreamer had this awesome thing on her blog that I decided to do :)

Mar. 3, 2009 - Pride & Prejudice

Every year, our church has a play or a musical. This year's is a musical... Pride & Prejudice!!! Needless to say, I'm excited :) Well anyhoo, I'm auditioning. You are supposed to audition two characters: one you really want to be, another as a secondary. I am auditioning for.... drum roll.... Lydia Bennet!!! Then my secondary will be Louisa Hurst. For the auditions I have to memorize two peices, one for each character, and sing a song. Even though the auditions are a month a way, please pray for me--that I'll be able to memorize the small speeches well.

Oh, and have any ideas for songs for me to sing? (cheezy grin :)

Okay, unfortunately I don't have pictures of my indoor skydiving experience, so I will keep you all hanging and post a tag instead. :)

I found this tag on a friend's blog and I totally loved it. Every writer should try it:

Do you have a pen/pencil collection? How many of those are chewed? I do have quite a collection... only because they usually get lost. Nothing chewed, just nail marks on my most frequently used pencils (when I do some serious thinking, I usually dig my nails into the pencil I'm holding)

Do you prefer handwriting or typing furiously? I totally go to town on typing!

How often do you get inspiration? I've lost track ;)

Are you blogging this on a computer or laptop? my dad's mac... MWAHAHAHA....

Do you get inspiration more in the early morning or late at night? Late. Most of the time at youth groups, bible studies, or in bed when I'm too lazy to get up and write down my new ideas

Do certain movies/books/music inspire you? A lot. There was only one time for a book--I got some awesome inspiration for some great characters. But music and movies inspire me a lot.

How do you incorporate God into your stories? Every now and then, I'll add a moral or two ;)

Do you kill off your villains or make them repent? It depends on which story we're talking about. :P

Is the majority of your characters magical beings, humans or halflings? Or something else? Always human beings

What genre of writing are you most comfortable in? adventure

If you were to step out of your comfort zone, what would you write? a war story. I've considered writing a WW2 story, but I'm not that familiar with guns, tanks, etc.

Do you work better alone or with someone else? myself

Do your stories make sense, or do they ramble wildly? They tend to ramble wildly until I edit it ;)

Are your characters mostly Renegades, Peacekeepers or a mish-mash? mish-mash. I have a large number of characters, so this speaks for all of 'em :)

Are you a sucker for good grammar? heh, heh... nope. Especially when a character is a modern-day skateboard-dude :P

How is your handwriting? Let's not go there... :D

How evil are your villains? It depends which story. They can sometimes be moderately-evil, or so evil, you are beyond glad no such character exists >:D (mwahahaha)

Are you long-winded or succinct? long-winded

Do you have typical writer traits such as ink stains on your fingers or a pencil behind your ear? nope, but I usually carry a pocket thesaurus and dictionary and a pen and a small notebook ;)

Would someone walking past you on the street consider you normal? It depends whatcha mean by normal. If I were wearing my brightly coloured Beatle attire and walked passed a hippie, they might think I was pretty normal. LOL

Do you write mostly poetry, stories, novels or a mixture? a bit of each makes a fun story :)

Do your characters vary in accents, appearance and attitude or are they mostly the same? They are all varied--it adds colour to the story

Do real people and/or places inspire your writing? sometimes

How many blogs/websites/internet haunts do you have? *mind goes blank*

What is your favorite character? Or do you choose to remain unbiased in case of a revolt? Damon and Dimitri--they are the funniest and most creative characters I've ever invented :)

Do you talk to your characters? not really. I mean, i sometimes say their parts and pretend I'm saying it to a certain characters to see if it sounds way too cheezy or not even funny.

Are you more comfortable with girl or boy main characters? girls are easier to write 'cuz I can understand them better (duh) but guys are more fun to write. :)

Do you follow basic overused plot lines with new twists thrown in or do you depart from the norm all the time? I think all my work is pretty original. My friends tell me if it isn't :)

Do you feel God has called you to be a writer/poet? Will you grasp the power of the pen? MWAHAHAHA... well, maybe not the power of the pen, but the keyboard is pretty submissive to me (lol) I really don't know where God is leading me. But wherever He's taking me, it's all part of His will.

Feb. 17, 2009 - We are moving again...

Yes, we are moving. But... only a few blocks down ;) They are renovating the old houses and building new ones, so we were forced to move. It has been crazy!!! I am, at the moment, sitting on my bed, in an empty bed room. *sigh* And it is rather chilly in here. I'll eventuall turn on my heater once I get off the computer.

Jan. 3, 2009 - 11 o'clock, 12 o'clock.... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Okay Mari, this is the part when we start to sing U2's "New Years Day". :P LOL Well, I hope it was a blast, everybody. We spent it with my dad's parents and his youngest sister, Sarah. We went ice skating together, hung out, watched movies... etc ;)

AND, we celebrated Sarah's birthday. I would post the b-day pictures, but we haven't uploaded the pictures on the computer yet.

Dec. 26, 2008 - Merry Christmas!

When we woke up on Christmas morning, we ran upstairs to find our stockings which were hidden. Mine was hiding behind the piano this year. ;)

I got a pair of ice skates--my first pair!-- two pairs of toe-socks, a radio player, a henna tatoo kit, the first two High School Musicals, a really cool shirt (that had holes for the thumbs :), a scarf and hat, a pair of gloves, a beach comforter blanket with pillow cases, etc.; a clock, and Prince Caspian the movie for all of the kids! *whew* not to mention loads of candy :P YUM...

Here are a few other pictures. Percy is wearing a something I got for all the boys: a 'chain' that has a big thing on the end that says "BLINGBLING". LOL It was fun. And the top left corner of the collage is us at the table doing our HSM poses LOL : D

Sorry for the random title. :) Well, I have nothing really to update about, considering that I need the pictures that are on the camera still. *sigh* Ah... so. You people will just have to suffer through this dull update, after all, like I said, it is more fun with pictures.

Yesterday, Dad had to have his comercial Christmas, so we went to the mall to get our picture with Santa Claus. I will post the picture when I can.

And yesterday, Percy and I got our gloves for Krav Maga. Krav is an Israeli self-defense thing. It's pretty cool; I can get my dad back if he puts me in a head-lock--and he did. And... it worked! It was pretty cool :)

Dec. 13, 2008 - 'tis the season to stand your legs off

AAAAAAGGGGHHH!!!!! I feel sososososo TIRED! AND I have a good excuse to feel so, so hear me out. ;)

Yesterday evening, we went to work at an Operation Christmas Child warehouse. For those who don't know, Operation Christmas Child is a cooperation that gathers filled shoe boxes to send to needy kids across the world. The shoe boxes are usually filled with candy, toothpaste, and toys. It was our job to go through the shoe boxes take and take out any American money, take out any parishable items or any indecent toys, and then tape the boxes up.

Dec. 9, 2008 - Our New Baby!

We have a new baby in the family! I'm sorry I didn't tell any of ya'll sooner that he was coming ;)

Isn't he cute??? :P It was all the boys' new lovebird named Pippin! And he's still a baby! Absolutely adorable when he plays in his bath and on his little gym--and not when he's biting. Yep, we are still struggling to train the little stinker. He's a squeaky fella. You can click on the pictures to see better.

Well, before we went to the aviary (is that how you spell it???), we went to the Denver Art Museum. SO COOL... even though we couldn't see the whole thing, it was pretty cool. Once again, you can click the pic if you wanna see stuff up close.

It was SO COOL to see real-live paintings :P from Degas, Monet, and Picasso.

Nov. 22, 2008 - Big, Bad, Red Fire Ants

Yesterday, we went to a AFA hockey game with some friends. It was so fun!!! They were up against Sacred Heart; a team with red uniforms and mean attitudes (except for one guy, as far as I know). They kept picking fights with our team. But, hey! AFA has beat them three times in a row this season! Yesterday we beat them eight to one! It was awesome!

9. Favorite Clothing to wear? hmmm. Jeans I guess, with a cute t-shirt.... something w/ the Beatles, smurfs, Kermit, or other stuff. And if I want to go dramatic, a black and purple ball gown :D LOL

Okay, the title has nothing to do with this entry; it's just a bit of something that Grace will appreciate. ;) LOL

*whew* Busy weekend this past week. The co-op (is that how you put it?) that I do volleyball with had a social get-together thing with the teens. We did ultimate frisbee with them and volleyball. There was only one guy that I knew there and almost mistook his identical twin for him (I had no clue he had a twin LOL). But it was fun. Sorry, no pics, but maybe next time. ;)

They same day, (but later that evening), Percy and I went to a friends house for a teen game night which was an absolute blast!!! In fact, this is the second time we've done it, so I hope it gets regular. (cheezy grin :)

We checked out the High School Musical movie from the library a few days ago. I've seen it once and thought my brother John might like it (he loves Disney Channel stuff). So, one evening, Randy, John, and I watched it. Of course, they thought some parts had some sissy-stuff in it, but they liked it.

I will update again, don't worry. ;)
