Violin Stuff
I'm excited again! On Tuesday our music teacher, Mrs. Hayes, dropped by our house to give Amy and me some new music! She gave me the second movement of the concerto my friend and I am working on, the Concerto for Two Violins by Bach (I am playing Violin 1), and she gave Amy the piano part for the first and second movements.
So, now I am working on the second movement, which is much slower than the first movement. And very different. But I like it. I think it will be a good challenge for me to learn a new piece that I don't remember ever even hearing before!
If any of you violinists have every played the Concerto for Two Violins, I would love to hear what you think of it! And even if you play the violin but have never even heard of the concerto I would still love to hear from you! I would love to "meet" some other violinists on HSB (or even if you aren't a blogger)!
I wish so bad that I could be in a youth orchestra.

Hey,
I'm not playing Concerto for Two Violins yet. I will be in a few months(the second movement). I won't be doing the first movement until book 5.
Anyway, I've heard that song before and it is really cool. The song will be a challenge but that is a good thing. The song I'm working on currently is Concerto in A Minor 1st Movement by A. Vivaldi. It is really awesome. Lots of third position.
ttfn,
Jill

Hi Alison!
Sorry I haven't commented in a while...it's been hectic lately. :)
I was part of a youth orchestra a few years back at my former church. I accompanied with the piano and it was a great experience for me. You may get a chance to do something like that in the future!! For now, just keep up all the good work and practicing hard!!
Hope you have a great new year!
~Sylvia
